1. Product and package contents
Please check if all listed parts are included and undamaged. Included in delivery:
1 x laser projector 1 x USB keyboard 1 x IR remote
1 x external PSU 1 x USB extension cable 1 x user manual

3. Initial operations, safety instructions
1. Make sure to use correct voltage; see in-
formation on device & in this manual.
2. Make sure that the device is not connec-
ted to mains during installation.
3. Installation has to be done by technical
experienced and qualied persons ac-
cording to safety regulations of the res-
pective country.
4. Always ensure that maximum permis-
sible exposure (MPE) is not exceeded
in areas accessible to the public.
5. In some countries an additional ins-
pection by technical control institutes
could be necessary.
6. Connect an easily accessible inter-
lock connector or circuit breaker
to the projector.
7. The power supply should be easily acces-
sible.
8. If the device has been exposed to great
temperature changes, do not switch it
on immediately. Condensation (or any
moisture/water formed) may damage
device.
9. Never use dimmer, RC or other electroni-
cally switched sockets. Whenever possib-
le, do not use the laser projector together
with large appliances (especially fog ma-
chines) on the same mains!
2. Preliminary warning notices
1. Please use this device only according to these operating instructions.
2. Do not use the device if there are any visible damages on housing, connector panels,
power supplies or power cords.
3. Never look directly into the light source of a laser projector. Danger of damage to the
eyes or even blindness in extreme circumstances!
4. This device must not be permanently connected to mains. Disconnect it from mains
or use the power button to switch if o󰀨 if not in use.
4. Do not operate the device at high humidity, in the rain or in dusty environments.
5. Protect device against dripping or splashing water. Do not place any liquid lled
containers near to this device.
Any warranty claims are void if the warranty label is removed or tampered
with in any way.

10. Ensure sucient ventilation and do not
place the device on any warm or heat ra-
diating surface. Especially the ventilati-
on openings must not be covered!
11. Ensure that device does not get over-
heated. Make sure that the device is not
exposed to spotlights (especially moving
heads). Heat of spotlights could overheat
laser in a little while and leads to a degra-
dation of performance.
12. This unit is intended for indoor use only.
4. Working on the device
1. Be sure that the mains plug is not connected to the power supply
while installing.
2. Take o all reecting things like rings, watches etc. before
starting to work with or at the projector.
3. Only use non-reecting tools to work on device.
4. Wear protective clothing (like goggles, gloves etc.)
according to laser power and wavelength of the laser.
5. Service notes
• Moisture and heat can reduce lifetime of
the laser system dramatically and expires
any warranty claim.
• Quick on/o switching of this device will
reduce durability of the laser source dra-
matically.
• Avoid sharp knocks and shocks to this
device and ensure sucient protection
during transportation. Look after your La-
serworld product.
• To increase durability of your laser,
protect device against overheating:
-Always ensure sucient ventilation.
-Do not face spotlights (especially mo-
ving heads) to the device.
-Check temperature after approx. 30
minutes with each new installation.
If necessary install the projector at a
place with dierent temperature.
-Keep the device dry. Protect it from
moisture, rain and damp.
-Switch o device when it is not nee-
ded. Laser sources are switched on
and can wear out even if there is no
visible laser output.
• The devices of Ecoline, Evolution, Club
and Proline Series are not meant for pro-
fessional applications. After approx. one
hour of operation, the device should cool
down for about 15 minutes.
• Please ensure the fans and heatsinks are
clear from dust and debris otherwise the
risk of overheating may occur. If the unit
and airways appear to be blocked then
please contact a qualied service engi-
neer to maintain and service the product.
• Removal of the warranty label as well
as damages to the device caused by
improper handling, neglect of the sa-
fety instructions and service notes will
void the warranty.

7. Operation
7.1 Power supply
Connect your EL-500RGB KeyTEX with the external PSU and connect it to the mains. Please
make sure that you are using the correct voltage. False voltages could destroy the device. Ple-
ase use the voltage specied at the end of this manual. Don‘t focus the front of the laser on
people while installation.
7.2 Switch on / o
Insert the key into the key switch on the back side of the laser and switch to “On“ to switch
the device on or to“O“ to switch the device o. Please disconnect the device from the power
supply if you don‘t need it for a longer period.
7.3 Modes
Access the four dierent operating modes available in this product by using the MODE button
on the front panel. Pressing and holding the MODE button for 2.5 seconds will turn the pro-
duct on or o. Press MODE to cycle through the modes. Please see a description of each mode
below.

ON / OFF button Turns laser on/o
Auto mode Laser runs in auto mode. Red LED indicator lights. Press the number
buttons to get dierent design patterns
Sound-active mode Sound-active mode. Blue LED indicator ashes when sound is
detected. Sound-active mode displays the same design packs as
auto mode, but respnds to sounds. Press and hold to enable sound
sensitivity adjustment. Use 1 (least sensitive) to 9 (most sensitive)
Pause Pauses the program. Press again to continue the program
Pattern selection Press button to enter the pattern selection and select one of the
available patterns by pressing the number buttons
Text mode Press to enter the text mode, then press any numbered button.
Enter text using the keyboard. Red and blue LED indicator lights.
Clock mode Press numbers on the number pad to set the time and press‚SPACE‘
to start the clock function
Numbers Press to select a number
Previous / Next Press to go to a previous / next step
Mirror Press and hold to mirror the laser projection. Press repeatedly for
up to 4 mirrored options
7.5 Using the Keyboard
Use the keyboard to access menu options, select laser patterns, and enter dierent modes. To
use the keyboad with the laser, do the following:
1. Connect the USB cable of the keyboard to the USB interface on the back of the laser
projector.
2. Connect the laser to the mains.
Menu Options
To select the menu options using the keyboard, do the following:
1. Press to access the menu options. The laser output displays the current menu option.
2. Use to scroll through the menu options: 1. AUTO, 2. SCENE, 3. MUSIC, 4. CLOCK, 5.
TEXT and 6. DMX.

Text Mode
Press to select the mode and press‚ENTER‘ to activate the mode.When text mode is active,
use the following keys on the keyboard to enter text and select patterns:
Function Key Description
Flow Sets the text ow. Press again to restart.
RGB Color RGB Press the key to make all letters / patterns white. Then use the
„Arrow up“ /„Arrow down“ keys to switch between the 7 dierent
colours.
By pressing the RGB button again, the color of the letters changes
automatically one after the other.
Pressing the button again creates colorful letters.
Pressing the button again creates multi-coloured letter lines.
Draw Selects the drawing functionality. Use up and down arrows to set
the speed.
Zoom Selects the zoom in, zoom out, and zoom in/out functionality. Use
the up and down arrows to set the speed.
X Move Text moves to the right or to the left. Use the up and down arrows
to set the speed.
Y Move Text moves up or down. Use the up and down arrows to set the
speed.
Y Roll Text curves around the y-axis. Use the up and down arrows to set
the speed.
X Roll Text curves around the x-axis. Use the up and down arrows to set
the speed.
Z Roll Text spins around the z-axis. Use the up and down arrows to set
the speed.
Wave Text is projected with a wave eect. Use the up and down arrows
to set the speed.
Text Qty Displays characters in quantities of 4, 6, 8, 10, or 12 (incl. free
space)
Play Time Sets the display time.
Mirror Mirrors the display in 4 directions
Delete Clears the cache.
Backspace Deletes a character to the left
Home Moves the cursor to the beginning of the text.
End Moves the cursor to the end of the text.

Arrow Keys Moves the cursor up, down, to the left or to the right.
Function Key Description
Ctrl + Alt + Del Deletes the entire text.
Save + No. Saves the text and pattern.
Play + No. Plays back the saved text and pattern.
Loop Playback Repeats the saved text and pattern.
Page up Chooses the last edited text.
Page down Chooses the next edited text.
Pause Pauses the program
Auto Mode
Press to select the mode and press‚ENTER‘ to activate the mode. When auto mode is acti-
ve, use the following keys on the keyboard:
Function Key Description
Numbers Press 1 - 9 to select one of the auto programs. Press 0 to select
all auto programs in a loop.
Mirror Mirrors the display in 4 directions.
Music Mode
Press to select the mode and press ‚ENTER‘ to activate the mode. When music mode is
active, use the following keys on the keyboard:

Numbers Press‚ENTER‘ and choose on of the numbers 1 - 9 to select the
sensitivity of the microphone. Press‚ENTER‘ to conrm.
Mirror Mirrors the display in 4 directions.
Pattern Selection (Scene)
Press to select the mode and press ‚ENTER‘ to activate the mode. When pattern mode is
active, use the following keys on the keyboard:

Please note that not each pattern can be combined with each eect!
DMX Mode
Press to select the mode and press‚ENTER‘ to activate the mode.
Enter the DMX address with the digit keys (e.g. press ‚0‘ ‚0‘ ‚3‘ and ‚Enter‘ for setting 003). Use
the Windows Button to choose DMX mode again.You now can see your DMX address. If it‘s the
wrong address, just press any digit button (e.g.‚4‘ 4‘) and you can set the right address.
When DMX mode is active, use the following keys on the keyboard:

1. Lieferumfang & Hinweise
Bitte prüfen, ob die Lieferung vollständig und die Ware unbeschädigt ist. Im Lieferumfang
enthalten sind:
1 x Laserprojektor 1 x USB Tastatur 1 x Fernbedienung
1 x externes Netzteil 1 x Bedienungsanleitung
1 x USB-Verlängerungskabel 1 x Interlock Adapter
3. Schritte zur Inbetriebnahme, Sicherheitshinweise:
1. Bitte das Gerät immer mit der richtigen
Spannung betreiben (siehe Angaben auf
dem Gerät bzw. in dieser Bedienungsan-
leitung).
2. Während der Installation darf das Gerät
nicht mit dem Stromnetz verbunden
sein.
3. Der Laser darf nur von technisch versier-
tem Fachpersonal gemäss der im jewei-
ligen Land geltenden Sicherheitsbestim-
mungen installiert werden.
4. Die am Betriebsort geforderten Sicher-
heitsabstände zwischen Gerät und
Publikum, bzw. maximal zulässige Be-
strahlungswerte (MZB), müssen immer
eingehalten werden.
5. In bestimmten Ländern kann zusätzlich
eine Abnahme durch ein technisches
Überwachungsinstitut erforderlich sein.
6. Verbinden Sie einen leicht zugänglichen
Interlock-Stecker bzw. Notausschalter mit
dem Gerät.
7. Die Stromversorgung zugänglich halten.
2. Einleitende Warnhinweise
1. Das Gerät nur gemäß dieser Bedienungsanleitung betreiben.
2. Wenn sichtbare Beschädigungen am Gehäuse, den Anschlussfeldern oder vor allem an
den Stromversorgungsbuchsen oder -kabeln vorliegen, darf das Gerät nicht verwendet
werden.
3. Niemals direkt in den Strahl des austretenden Lasers blicken. Dies könnte zu irreparab-
len Schäden an den Augen und der Netzhaut führen. Erblindungsgefahr!
4. Dieses Gerät darf nicht dauerhaft an das Stromnetz angeschlossen sein. Trennen
Sie es von der Stromversorgung oder schalten Sie das Gerät mittels des Netz-
schalters aus, wenn Sie es nicht verwenden.
5. Gerät nicht bei hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit, Regen oder in staubiger Umgebung
betreiben.
6. Vor Tropf-/Spritzwasser schützen, keine mit Flüssigkeit gefüllten Gefäße auf oder neben
dem Gerät abstellen.
Bei Entfernung oder Manipulation des Garantielabels erlischt jeglicher
Anspruch auf Gewährleistung!

8. Wenn das Gerät großen Temperatur-
schwankungen ausgesetzt war, bitte
nicht unmittelbar danach anschalten.
Kondenswasser kann zu Schäden am Ge-
rät führen.
9. Niemals Dimmer-, Funk- oder andere
elektronisch gesteuerten Steckdosen
verwenden! Falls möglich, den Laser
nicht zusammen mit anderen großen
elektrischen Verbrauchern (insbesondere
Nebelmaschinen) auf derselben Leitung/
Phase betreiben!
10. Für eine ausreichende Belüftung sor-
gen und stellen das Gerät auf keine war-
men oder wärmeabstrahlenden Unter-
gründe stellen. Die Belüftungsönungen
dürfen nicht verdeckt sein.
11. Bitte sicherstellen, dass das Gerät nicht
zu heiß wird und dass es nicht dem Strahl
von Scheinwerfern ausgesetzt wird (ins-
besondere bei beweglichen Scheinwer-
fern!). Die Wärme dieser Strahler kann
den Laser überhitzen.
12. Dieses Gerät nur im Innenbereich ver-
wenden
4. Sicherheitshinweise für Arbeiten am Gerät
1. Stellen Sie sicher, dass der Netzstecker gezogen ist, wenn Sie am
Gerät hantieren bzw. es installieren
2. Vor Arbeiten am Gerät alle reektierenden Gegenstände
wie Ringe, Uhren etc. ablegen.
3. Verwenden Sie für Arbeiten am Gerät ausschließlich
nicht reektierendes Werkzeug.
4. Tragen Sie auf die Laserstärke und -wellenlängen angepasste
Schutzbekleidung (Schutzbrille, Handschuhe, etc.).
5. Pege- und Wartungshinweise
• Feuchtigkeit und Hitze können die Le-
bensdauer des Lasersystems stark ver-
kürzen und führen zum Erlöschen des
Gewährleistungsanspruchs.
• Das Gerät nicht schnell hintereinander
Ein- und Ausstecken/-schalten, da dies
die Lebensdauer der Laserquelle erheb-
lich verkürzen kann!
• Beim Transport des Lasers jegliche
Erschütterung vermeiden. Bitte das Pro-
dukt bestmöglich schützen. Laserworld
bietet entsprechendes Equipment an.
• Um die Lebensdauer Ihres Lasers zu erhö-
hen, das Gerät vor Überhitzung schützen:
-Immer für ausreichende Belüftung
sorgen.
-Keine Scheinwerfer (insbesondere
kopfbewegte) auf das Gerät richten.
-Bei jeder Neuinstallation nach ca. 30
Minuten die Gerätetemperatur prü-
fen und gegebenenfalls das Gerät an
einem kühleren/besser belüfteten
Standort platzieren.
-Das Gerät trocken halten und vor Näs-
se, Regen und Spritzwasser schützen.
• Bitte das Gerät ausstecken, wenn es nicht
benutzt wird. Trennen Sie hierzu das
Netzteil von der Stromversorgung. Auch
wenn die Laserquelle nicht leuchtet: Sie
ist in Betrieb, solange das Gerät ange-
schaltet ist.
• Die Geräte der Ecoline, Evolution, Club
und Proline Serie sind nicht für professio-

nellen Einsatz konzipiert. Sie sollten nach
etwa einer Stunde Betrieb für ca. 15 Mi-
nuten abkühlen.
• Lüfter und Kühlkörper (Kühlrippen usw.)
müssen frei von Staubansammlungen
und Ablagerungen sein, da sonst die Ge-
fahr des Überhitzens droht und jegliche
Gewährleistung erlischt. Bitte wenden Sie
sich an qualizierte Fachpersonen.
• Durch das Entfernen des Garantiela-
bels erlischt jeglicher Anspruch auf
Gewährleistung. Schäden am Gerät,
die durch unsachgemäßer Handha-
bung, Nichtbeachtung der Sicher-
heits-, Pege- und Wartungshinweise
entstehen besteht kein Gewährleis-
tungsanspruch.

7. Bedienung
7.1 Stromversorgung
Verbinden Sie Ihren EL-500RGB KeyTEX mit dem im Lieferumfang enthaltenen Netzadapter
und schließen Sie diesen an die Stromversorgung an. Stellen Sie sicher, dass das Gerät mit
der richtigen Spannung betrieben wird, da eine falsche Spannung zu irreparablen Schäden
am Gerät führen kann. Die Spannungsdaten entnehmen Sie bitte der Übersichtstabelle am
Ende dieser Bedienungsanleitung. Es muss darauf geachtet werden, dass die Vorderseite des
Lasers (Bereich des Strahlaustritts) während des Anschließens an die Stromversorgung nicht
auf Personen gerichtet ist.
7.2 An-/Ausschalten des Gerätes
Stecken Sie den Schlüssel in den Schlüsselschalter und drehen Sie diesen auf “ON“, um das
Gerät an- bzw. auf“OFF“, um das Gerät auszuschalten. Sollten Sie das Gerät für einen längeren
Zeitraum nicht benötigen, trennen Sie das Gerät bitte von der Stromversorgung.
7.3 Betriebsmodi
Auf der Gerätevorderseite bendet sich ein ‚MODE‘-Knopf, mit dem einer der vier unterschied-
lichen Betriebsmodi gewählt werden kann. Durch Drücken des MODE-Knopfs für 2,5 Sekun-
den, wird der Laser an bzw. abgeschaltet. Drücken Sie den MODE-Knopf, um zwischen den
Betriebsmodi zu wechseln. Details zu den Betriebsmodi nden Sie auf den folgenden Seiten.

Auto Modus Der Laser läuft im Automatikmodus und die rote LED leuchtet.
Durch Drücken der Zahlentasten kann aus unterschiedlichen The-
menbereichen gewählt werden
Musikmodus Der Laser läuft im Musikmodus und die blaue LED blinkt, wenn
Töne/Geräusche erkannt werden. Wiedergabe derselben Sequen-
zen wie im Automatik-Modus. Durch Gedrückthalten der Taste kann
die Mikrofonsensitivität angepasst werden: 1 (gering) bis 9 (stark)
Pause Unterbricht die Sequenz. Erneutes Drücken beendet die Pause.
Zeitmodus Der Laser läuft im Zeitmodus, rote und blaue LEDs blinken. Durch
Drücken können Jahr, Monat, Datum und Zeit aufgerufen werden.
Mustermodus Der Laser läuft im Mustermodus. Durch Drücken können folgen-
de Muster ausgewählt werden: 1-Spiralen, 2-Dreiecke, 3-Bögen,
4-Fünfecke, 5-Zackenkreise, 6-Kreise, 7-Vierecke, 8-Sterne, 9-Kreis
aus Kreisen, 0-Sternenkränze

Textmodus Der Laser läuft im Textmodus. Bitte eine beliebige Zahlentaste
drücken und den Text über die Tastatur eingeben. Die rote und
blaue LED leuchten.
Zahlen Taste drücken um eine Zahl auszuwählen
Zurück / Weiter Drücken um Vor- bzw. Zurückzuspringen
Spiegeln Drücken und Halten der Taste ermöglicht das Spiegeln der Pro-
jektion. Durch mehrmaliges Drücken kann aus 4 Spiegeloptionen
gewählt werden.

7.5 Verwendung der Tastatur
Über die Tastatur können Menü-Optionen, Muster und die unterschiedlichen Modi ausge-
wählt werden. Um die Tastatur nutzen zu können, gehen Sie bitte wie folgt vor:
1. Verbinden Sie das USB-Kabel der Tastatur mit Schnittstelle auf der Rückseite des Gerätes.
2. Verbinden Sie den Laser mit der Stromversorgung.
Menü-Optionen
Um die Menü-Optionen an der Tastatur zu nutzen, gehen Sie folgendermaßen vor:
1. Drücken Sie um zu den Menü-Optionen zu gelangen. Der Laser projiziert die ausge-
wählte Menü-Option.
2. Durch Drücken von springen Sie durch die Menü-Optionen: 1. TEXT, 2. AUTOMATIK, 3.
MUSIK 4. ZEIT, und 5. MUSTER.
3. Drücken Sie um die Auswahl zu bestätigen.

Textmodus
Bei aktivem Textmodus, kann der eingegebene Text über folgende Tasten auf der Tastatur
variiert werden:
Funktion Taste Beschreibung
Abfolge Startet die Textabfolge. Durch erneutes Drücken wird die Abfolge
erneut gestartet.
RGB Color RGB Mit einem Druck auf die Taste werden alle Buchstaben / Muster
weiß. Danach kann mit den„Pfeil hoch“ /„Pfeil runter“ Tasten zwi-
schen den 7 verschiedenen Farben gewechselt werden.
Mit einem weiteren Druck auf die RGB-Taste wechselt die Farbe der
Buchstaben nacheinander automatisch durch.
Ein erneuter Tastendruck sorgt für bunte Buchstaben.
Ein erneuter Tastendruck sorgt für mehrfarbige Buchstaben-Linien.
Draw Zeichungsfunktion. Durch Drücken der Pfeile (nach oben / unten)
kann die Geschwindigkeit bestimmt werden.
Zoom Zoomfunktion: größer werdend, kleiner werdend & größer-kleiner
werdend. Durch Drücken der Pfeile (nach oben / unten) kann die
Geschwindigkeit bestimmt werden.
X Move Der Text läuft nach links oder rechts. Durch Drücken der Pfeile
(nach oben / unten) kann die Geschwindigkeit bestimmt werden.
Y Move Der Text läuft nach oben oder unten. Der Text läuft nach links oder
rechts. Durch Drücken der Pfeile (nach oben / unten) kann die
Geschwindigkeit bestimmt werden.
Y Roll Der Text dreht sich um die Y-Achse. Der Text läuft nach links oder
rechts. Durch Drücken der Pfeile (nach oben / unten) kann die
Geschwindigkeit bestimmt werden.
X Roll Der Text dreht sich um die X-Achse. Der Text läuft nach links oder
rechts. Durch Drücken der Pfeile (nach oben / unten) kann die
Geschwindigkeit bestimmt werden.
Z Roll Der Text dreht sich um die Z-Achse. Der Text läuft nach links oder
rechts. Durch Drücken der Pfeile (nach oben / unten) kann die
Geschwindigkeit bestimmt werden.
Wave Der Text bewegt sich wellenförmig. Durch Drücken der Pfeile (nach
oben / unten) kann die Geschwindigkeit bestimmt werden.
Text Qty Zeigt 4, 6, 8, 10, oder 12 Zeichen (inkl. Leerzeichen) an
Play Time Bestimmt die Wiedergabezeit.
Mirror Spiegelt die Projektion in 4 Richtungen
Delete Löscht den Speicher
Backspace Löscht die Zeichen von rechts nach links
