Installation safety
Prior to installation and operation of the laser, the paths of the beams and effe ts should be
onsidered, parti ularly with respe t to how they will rea h the audien e. If dire t audien e
s anning is desired, then the laser energy in the effe ts needs to be onsidered to de ide if
the effe ts are safe for dire t viewing. Always ensure that the maximum permissible
exposure (MPE) is not ex eeded in the area a essible to the publi . So install the laser in
su h a way, that minimum distan es and heights ensure that the MPE is never ex eeded in
the publi area.
Operation requirements
Make sure that the used voltage is: AC 85V~240V, 50/60Hz
The operator has to make sure that laser radiation – also refle ted laser radiation – higher
than the maximum permissible level is avoided by te hni al or organisational measures.
(Espe ially with respe t to the MPE, see above.)
Make sure to use the orre t voltage. Always use a grounded mains onne tion. Don’t use a
remote ontrolled or other ele troni ally swit hed main onne tion.
If the devi e is used in a flying installation, the mounting bra kets and an appropriate safety-
rope must be fixed.
In some ountries, the operator must notify the a iden e insuran e and the authority for
industrial safety, before operating a laser. For more information, onta t the relevant
authorities.
Please onsider that unauthorized modifi ations on the devi e are stri tly forbidden due to
safety reasons!
If this devi e will be operated in any way differently than des ribed in this manual, the
produ t may suffer damages and the guarantee be omes void. Furthermore, any other
operation may lead to dangers like short- ir uit, burns, ele tri sho k, et .
Keep surrounding dry and lean. This unit should be keep dry, do not use in the rain or
damp and dusty environment. Proje tor should be put in a water-proof housing when
operated outside.
Regularly open the devi e (see “ leaning” further down) to he k for dust inside, or if fog
fluid ondenses in the housing (if so rearrange hazer and/or laser position).
Operating temperature is 10~35°C. In a new installation, he k after some 15-30 minutes
whether the outlet air gets too warm. Regularly he k the inside for dust deposits, espe ially
around the fans. Let laser ool off 10 minutes after 2 hours of operation, to ensure
maximum lifetime for the diode. Be areful not to dire t stage lights toward the laser
(espe ially moving heads), this an ause overheating.
Distan e between laser aperture and proje tion s reen should be not less than 1 meter.
Do not turn devi e on and immediately off again frequently.
Do not look into the laser beam dire tly, espe ially not with opti al instruments.
Do not tou h the devi e with wet hands.
When the laser diode be omes dim or broken, please onta t your dealer timely.
When returning laser to dealer/manufa turer always use original pa kaging.
Maintenan e should be performed every 15-day period. See “ leaning” further down.
Operation
Conne t the power able to the mains. The red LED on the front panel should turn on, and
the laser beam will exit through the front opening – be areful. Now the devi e is in
automati mode.
