DANGER LASER RADIATION!

All prote tive measures for a safe operation of this laser must
be applied.
Safety instru tions
If the devi e has been exposed to great temperature hanges, do not swit h it on
immediately. Condensation water may damage your devi e. Leave the devi e
swit hed off until it has rea hed room temperature.
The laser must only be used for shows. Any operation has to be attended and
supervised by a skilled and well-trained operator.
Never leave this devi e running unattended and keep it away from hildren and
unauthorized persons.
Keep away from heaters and other heat sour es. In order to safeguard suffi ient
ventilation, leave 50 m of free spa e around the devi e.
Never dire t the laser beam to people or animals.
CAUTION LASER DIODE: If you open the devi e for leaning, always dis onne t from
mains!
-HEALTH HAZARD! Never look directly into the light source, as
sensitive persons may suffer an epileptic shock!
These lasers are onsidered a definite eye hazard, parti ularly at the higher power
levels, whi h WILL ause eye damage. Warning labels and aperture labels are affixed
to the laser.

Installation safety
Prior to installation and operation of the laser, the paths of the beams and effe ts should be
onsidered, parti ularly with respe t to how they will rea h the audien e. If dire t audien e
s anning is desired, then the laser energy in the effe ts needs to be onsidered to de ide if
the effe ts are safe for dire t viewing. Always ensure that the maximum permissible
exposure (MPE) is not ex eeded in the area a essible to the publi . So install the laser in
su h a way, that minimum distan es and heights ensure that the MPE is never ex eeded in
the publi area.
Operation requirements
Make sure that the used voltage is: AC 85V~240V, 50/60Hz
The operator has to make sure that laser radiation – also refle ted laser radiation – higher
than the maximum permissible level is avoided by te hni al or organisational measures.
(Espe ially with respe t to the MPE, see above.)
Make sure to use the orre t voltage. Always use a grounded mains onne tion. Don’t use a
remote ontrolled or other ele troni ally swit hed main onne tion.
If the devi e is used in a flying installation, the mounting bra kets and an appropriate safety-
rope must be fixed.
In some ountries, the operator must notify the a iden e insuran e and the authority for
industrial safety, before operating a laser. For more information, onta t the relevant
authorities.
Please onsider that unauthorized modifi ations on the devi e are stri tly forbidden due to
safety reasons!
If this devi e will be operated in any way differently than des ribed in this manual, the
produ t may suffer damages and the guarantee be omes void. Furthermore, any other
operation may lead to dangers like short- ir uit, burns, ele tri sho k, et .
Keep surrounding dry and lean. This unit should be keep dry, do not use in the rain or
damp and dusty environment. Proje tor should be put in a water-proof housing when
operated outside.
Regularly open the devi e (see “ leaning” further down) to he k for dust inside, or if fog
fluid ondenses in the housing (if so rearrange hazer and/or laser position).
Operating temperature is 10~35°C. In a new installation, he k after some 15-30 minutes
whether the outlet air gets too warm. Regularly he k the inside for dust deposits, espe ially
around the fans. Let laser ool off 10 minutes after 2 hours of operation, to ensure
maximum lifetime for the diode. Be areful not to dire t stage lights toward the laser
(espe ially moving heads), this an ause overheating.
Distan e between laser aperture and proje tion s reen should be not less than 1 meter.
Do not turn devi e on and immediately off again frequently.
Do not look into the laser beam dire tly, espe ially not with opti al instruments.
Do not tou h the devi e with wet hands.
When the laser diode be omes dim or broken, please onta t your dealer timely.
When returning laser to dealer/manufa turer always use original pa kaging.
Maintenan e should be performed every 15-day period. See “ leaning” further down.
Operation
Conne t the power able to the mains. The red LED on the front panel should turn on, and
the laser beam will exit through the front opening – be areful. Now the devi e is in
automati mode.

Sound-/automatic mode
In automati mode the patterns will be displayed automati ally in a round robin fashion.
Operating swit h 1 will set the devi e to sound mode. In sound mode the patterns are
hanged and animated to the beat of the musi . You an ontrol the musi -sensitivity of the
mi rophone with the knob at the front panel, the mi LED flashes when the audio is
triggered.
DMX control
Setting Swit h 10 to „off“ puts the devi e into DMX mode. Conne t a DMX ontroller to
operate the laser. The red LED on the ba k panel will flash as long as a DMX signal is
dete ted.
To set the DMX address of the laser use swit hes 1 to 9, ea h swit h represents a number:

The address is the sum of all a tivated numbers, see the following example settings (the
white re tangle represents the position of the swit h) :

The laser uses 5 DMX hannels, so make sure that the next devi e uses an address that
doesn’t overlap with this range. E.g. when using address 1, make sure the next devi e uses
at least address 6.

Maintenance / cleaning
Always dis onne t from the mains when the devi e is not in use or before leaning it.
Open the devi e by removing the s rews on the front panel, remove onne tor. Remove any
deposits of dust, espe ially at the fan. Che k for ondensed fog fluid inside, if so, lean and
rearrange the position of laser and or hazer. Mirrors need leaning, when a “halo” is
noti eable around the beam, or an unusual high amount of diffuse light an be seen inside
the devi e.Clean the mirrors with window leaner and a paper towel.
Never look directly into the light source. Always disconnect from the mains when
the device is not in use or before cleaning it.

ele tromagneti ompatibility (89/336/EWG).
The devi e has been lassified onsidering the following EU-norms on ele tromagneti
ompatibility:
DIN EN 61000-3-2:2000 + A2: 2005
DIN EN 61000-3-3:1995 + A1: 2001
Assessment of omplian e of the produ t with the requirements relating to the Low Voltage
Dire tive (LVD 2006/95/EG) was based on the following standards:
DIN EN 60065: 2002
Furthermore, the devi e is verified in orresponden e to the laser lass regulations DIN EN
60825-1, if properly set up a ording to the upper mentioned laser safety regulation. After
installing the devi e, an inspe tion and offi ial approval is indispensable for the overall setup.
The inspe tion must follow the European guidelines EN 60825-1 and orresponding
regulations for the prevention of a idents BGV-B2.
