Thank you for placing your trust in us. Please read
through this instruction manual carefully prior to
initial use. The appliance should be used for ironing
clothes and is only intended for home use.
As each appliance is tested prior to delivery, you
may nd residual water in your appliance.
Your LAURASTAR™ product generates heat and steam,
various parts of the appliance become very hot during
operation and can cause burns.
Note: Those parts which get very hot are marked in the

BEFORE using the appliance, rinse the boiler when cold,
switched o and unplugged.
Danger: Risk of burns when the boiler is under pressure. If
rinsing the boiler AFTER having used the appliance, you must
switch the appliance o, remove the mains plug from the
wall socket and wait at least 2h30 before opening the boiler
inlet and drain caps. Hold at a safe distance when opening
the caps.

Hang up garment and release short bursts of steam up and down the fabric.

Danger:
- In cases of emergency pull the mains plug from the socket
immediately.
- The iron soleplate and steam jet are very hot, do not direct steam
towards parts of your own body, or other persons/animals. Do not
iron/steam garments whilst being worn. Danger of burning.
- Children and persons with reduced physical sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience may only operate the appliance
under supervision or after instruction of a person responsible for
their safety. Supervise children to ensure that they do not play
with the appliance.
- Only rinse the appliance when cold, ideally prior to use! Never
open the boiler inlet cap during use. Before opening, remove the
plug from the mains electricity supply and allow the appliance to
cool down for at least 2 hours 30 mins. Unscrew the cap carefully:
residual pressurised steam may start to escape after several turns.
Risk of burns. Close the boiler cap(s) again.
- Only connect appliance to an earthed power supply. The mains
plug must be easily accessible in case of emergency.
- Do not get mains cable/plug wet. Do not touch mains plug/cable
with wet hands. Do not pull the mains plug out of the socket
using the cable. Danger of electric shock.
- Do not use appliance if the mains cable/steam hose is defective or
damaged. Only allow defective cable/steam hose to be replaced by
authorised LAURASTAR consumer services, department or agent.
- Do not use the appliance if it has been damaged and/or shows
visible signs of damage.
- Do not open appliance and do not attempt to carry out any repair
work yourself. Danger of electric shock.
- Only test/service holes (steam outlets) in iron soleplate when
appliance is switched-o and has cooled down.
- Remove mains plug from electricity supply before cleaning/
servicing (e.g. holes in Iron soleplate) and let appliance cool down.
Warning:
- Caution when applying SOFTPRESSING soleplate, the iron
soleplate may be hot. Place SOFTPRESSING soleplate on heat-
resistant iron rest when hot. Danger of burning.
- Position ex and steam hose so that no one can trip over them.
Note:
- The Water lter granules are environmentally-friendly and non
toxic.
Nevertheless, do not take orally. Keep out of reach children.
Danger:
Do not leave the iron unsupervised when switched on.
Note:
- Do not repair the appliance yourself
- ONLY use appliance inside and treat for textiles according to the
instructions in this manual.
Warning:
- Do not damage mains cable/steam hose e.g. by trapping between
sharp edges, with excessive heat (e.g. iron) etc.
- Do not operate appliance without water.
- Do not attempt insert any items into openings in the appliance.
