Replacethelamp,thereflectorandthelensesifdamagedordeformedbyheat.Makesure
thelampiscoldbeforeattemptingtoremoveit.Toperformacorrectinstallationofthelamp,
pleaserefertothelampmanufacturer'sinstructionsincludedinthelampboxandtothe
relevantchaptersinthismanual.
Repairingandreplacementofanycomponentofthisproductmustbecarriedoutexclusively
byprofessionalpersonnelinconformitywiththerelevantsafetyandhealthstandardsand
onlywithoriginalLucidellaRibaltasrlcomponents.
Replacementofanypartofthewiringsystemmustbecarriedoutexclusivelybyprofessional,

2. MOUNTINGTHESPIGOT

Thisproductisafollowspotmeantfortripod‐ orpole‐mountingonlyandisthereforenotfitted
withanysecondaryfixingpoint.Donothangit.

Aspigotissuppliedinstandarddeliveryforyoutotripod‐mountyourfollowspot.

Makesurethetripodyouaregoingtousefeaturesatopapertureover28mm/1.12india.
RemovetheM12nutandthewasherfromthespigot.
Insertthespigotinthecentralholeoftheyokeofthefollowspotfrombeneaththeyoke.
AddtheplainscrewandtheM12self‐lockingnutandtightenthenutwithasuitabletool.
Mountthefollowspotonthetripod.Makesurethestructureyouarefixingtheproductto
canwithstandtheproductload(seeabovelistandproductlabel).



3. MOUNTINGTHECOLOURCHANGER(accessory,part#20105106or20105206)

Thissectiononlyappliesincaseyouboughtthefollowspotandthecolourchanger
separately.
TakethesuppliedM4screwsandpositioneachoneofthem,onlyhalf‐waythrough,in
eachoneoftheM4brassinsertsonthefrontplateofthefollowspot.

Positionthecolourchangerunitonthefrontplateofthefollowspot,makingsurethatthe
colourleversarepositionedontheright‐handsideofthefollowspotwhenviewedfrom
behindandhangittothepreviouslypositionedscrews.
Releasethecolourfiltersofthecolourchangerinordertohaveaccesstothescrewsand
tightenthem.
Ensurethecolourchangerunitissecure,andallthreescrewsaretight.


4. MOUNTINGTHEIRISDIAPHRAGM

Theirisdiaphragmsuppliedwiththefollowspothas20leavestosizethebeamfromamaximum
apertureof68mm/2.67intoaminimumof5mm/0.19in.Ablack‐outirisdiaphragmisavailableto
specialorder.
Theirisdiaphragmcomesfactory‐mountedalreadybutshouldyouforanyreasonneedtofitor
replacetheirisdiaphragmthen

UsingaPhillipsscrew‐driverremovethetwocross‐headscrewsfromthesidesoftheiris
plate.
Slidethediaphragminthegatearea.
Tightenthescrews.

Importantnotice:donotleavetheirisclosedforover5minuteswhilethelampison

Usethefrontdowserto“cutoff”thelightshouldyourequiretohavethelamponwithnobeam
projectingonthestage.


5. SHUTTERBLADES

Shutterbladesarenotsuppliedwiththeunitbutareavailableasseparateaccessory.Theyaresold
assingleitemsandrelevantpartnumberisR80208019,4xarerequired.


6. ADJUSTINGTHEYOKE

Thisfollowspotisprovidedwithayokebalancingadjustment.Thebalancingpointisfactorysetfor
thestandardproductconfigurationsupplied(withoutcolourchangerforstandardunits,with
colourchangerforthekitversion).However,shouldyouneedtoadjustthebalancing,please
followtheprocedurebelow:


Gentlyslidethefollowspotbackwardsorforwardstotherequiredposition.
Makesuretheyokeiscorrectlyalignedhorizontally.
Tightenthe4xM5screws



Thisfixtureismeantfortripod‐mountinstallationonly.Nohangingisallowed
IncaseyouneedthefollowspottobehungpleasecontactyourdealerorLDRasaspecial
versionforhangingisavailableondemand
Beforeinstallingthisfixturecheckitsweightontheproductlabelandtheweightofeach
accessoryyouareaddingandmakesurethestructureyouareinstallingittowithstandsthe
totalweight.
Themountingstirrupisdesignedtoallowthespotlighttobefittedtoasuitabletripodorpole.

CAUTION
DONOTTURNTHELUMINAIREUPSIDE‐DOWNANDMAKESURETHESTIRRUPALWAYSSITS
DOWNWARDS
Iflaidonthegroundtheexternalballastunitneedstobepositionedhorizontally,onthe
providedrubberfeet,toallowforproperventilation.

rate(i.e.lowertheintensityofthelightfromthelamp,andeventuallytoburnorsufferfatal
damages

8. WIRING

Beforebeingconnectedtothemainspowersupply,thisunitmayneedtobewiredwitha
suitableplugifnotalreadyinstalled.Makesuretheplugyouareusingisratedfortheproper
powerload.


Alwaysdisconnectthefollow‐spotfromthepowersupplybeforeinstallingthelamp
Makesuretheunitiscoldanddisconnectedfromthepowersource.
Ifreplacingalampuseaproperthermalprotectionforyourhands(ex.gloves)incasethe
lampisstillhot.
Protectthelampfromabrasionandscratches.Donotinstalloruseacrackedorbroken
lamp.Incasealampcracksorbreaks,disconnectfromthepowersupply,allowtheunitto
coolandremove/replacethebrokenlamp.
Nevertouchthelampbulbwithbarehands.Oilandgreasecancontaminatethequartz
surfaceandreducethelampperformanceandlifeofthelamp.
Donotremovetheplasticprotectionaroundthelampuntilafterhavinginstalledthelamp.
Usingaplainscrewdriveropenthelamp‐holderpanelpositionedontheleft‐handsideof
thelamphousebyturning(counterclockwise)thetwo¼turnfasteners.



Removethepanel.
Removethelamp(ifoperatingareplacement)byholdingtheceramicbaseandturningit
untilthelampisdislodged
Placethenewlampinbyholdingtheceramicbaseandturningituntilthebaseislockedin
position.A“click”shouldbeheard.
Re‐positionthelampholderpanelbyturningclockwisethetwo¼turnfasteners

LDRdeclinesanyresponsibilityonpoorperformanceoftheunitordamagestotheinner
componentsincasethelamphasnotbeeninstalledproperlyoranoncompatiblelampisused


13. LAMPINGTHEFOLLOWSPOT

PlugthefollowspottotheelectronicPSUandmakesuretheconnectorissafelyclampedin
PleasenotethateachfollowspothasbeenfactorytestedwithrelevantPSU.Bothunitsare
recognizedbyaserialnumberontheouterbox,ontheunitsandonthefrontcoverofthe
instructionmanual.MakesureyoumatcheachfollowspottotherelevantPSU.
ConnectthePSUtoyour230voltmainspower.

14. LAMPALIGNMENT

Foranoptimumperformanceofthefollowspot,lampalignmentmustbecheckedandperformed
eachtimeanewlampisfittedoranoldlampisreplaced.Pleaseproceedasfollows:

Switchontheunitandprojectthebeamonaflatsurface(awall,forexample)atashort
distance(0,5m/3/6ftapproximately).
Completelyde‐focusthezoomsothatyoucanseethelamporitsfilamentsprojectedon
thesurface.
Closethedowsertoaslightlybiggersizethantheheightofthelamp.Youshouldobtaina
circleoflightincludingtheprojectionofthelamp.
Ifthelampisnotexactlycenteredinthecircle,setthealignmentbyloosening/tightening
eachoneofthechromeM4screwspositionedontheleft‐handsideofthelamp‐house
nearthelamp‐holderpanel.

CAUTION:adjustthescrewsveryslowlyinordernottocausethelampbulbtotouchany
ofthecomponentsoftheopticalsystemasthiswouldcauseboththelampandthelenses
toexplode.


Oncethealignmentiscorrectyoucanstartusingyourfollowspot.


15. OPERATION
Focuscontrol:thisfixturefeaturesavariablebeamanglefrom8°to22°whichcanbecontrolled
throughthetwocontrolknobsontheright‐handsideofthelens‐tube.
