REMOTE CONTROL FUNCTION
HEAD UP BUTTON
Press and hold to raise the head section.
HEAD DOWN BUTTON
Press and hold to lower the head section.

REMOTE CONTROL PROGRAMMING - 1 REMOTE TO OPERATE 1 BASE
STEP 1
Plug remote control cord into base motor cable
(FIGURE 1). Pivot cable latch downward and snap
cable latch in closed position (FIGURE 1).
NOTE: ALIGN PINS BEFORE INSERTING PLUGS
(FIGURE 1). DO NOT WEAVE CORDS THROUGH
BASE STRUCTURE.
STEP 2
Plug electrical power cord into a working, grounded
electrical outlet.
NOTE: AN ELECTRICAL SURGE PROTECTION
DEVICE IS RECOMMENDED (NOT INCLUDED).
STEP 3
Operate the remote control to verify the base
functions correctly.

TANDEM SYNCING
To tandem sync two bases to operate as one base,
perform the following procedure:

STEP 1
Locate the sync cable (FIGURE 2).
STEP 2
Unplug both remote control cords from respective base motor cables.
STEP 3
Plug (1) male end of sync cable into motor cable of base 1; place the
other male end of sync cable into motor cable of base 2 (FIGURE 2).
STEP 4
Plug (1) remote control cord into female end of sync cable (FIGURE 2).
Second remote is not needed. Retain for future use.
One remote control will now operate both bases.
POWER CORDS MUST NOT INTERFERE
WITH ANY ADJUSTABLE BASE
MECHANISMS. DO NOT WEAVE CORDS
THROUGH BASE STRUCTURE.

TROUBLESHOOTING
If the adjustable base fails to operate, investigate the symptoms and possible solutions provided in
the chart below:
SYMPTOM SOLUTION
• Verify power cord is plugged into a working, grounded
electrical outlet. A grounded, electrical surge protection
device is recommended. Test outlet by plugging in
another working appliance.
• Verify remote control is plugged into the motor.
• Unplug power cord, wait 30 seconds and plug in to
reset electronic components.
• Electrical circuit breaker may be tripped. Check
electrical service breaker box to verify.
• Defective surge protection device or electrical outlet.
Test outlet by plugging in another working appliance.
• Base mechanism may be obstructed. Elevate base and
check for obstruction. Remove obstruction.
• Head section may be too close to the wall.
Remote control will not activate base.
Head section will elevate, but will not return to
the horizontal (flat) position.

PROGRAMACIÓN DEL CONTROL REMOTO - 1 CONTROL REMOTO PARA OPERAR 1 BASE
PASO 1
Enchufe el cordón del control remoto en el cable del
motor de la base (FIGURA 1). Gire hacia abajo el gancho
pestillo del cable y ajuste el gancho pestillo del cable a la
posición cerrada (FIGURA 1).
NOTA: ALINEE LOS PINES ANTES DE INSERTAR LOS
ENCHUFES (FIGURA 1). NO PASE LOS CABLES A
TRAVÉS DE LA ESTRUCTURA DE LA BASE.
PASO 2
Enchufe el cable de alimentación eléctrica a un
tomacorriente que funcione y esté conectado a tierra.
NOTA: SE RECOMIENDA UTILIZAR UN DISPOSITIVO DE
PROTECCIÓN CONTRA SOBREVOLTAJE (NO INCLUIDO).
PASO 3
Haga funcionar el control remoto para vericar que la
base funcione correctamente.

SINCRONIZACIÓN EN TÁNDEM
Si va a sincronizar en tándem dos bases para que operen
como una sola, realice el siguiente procedimiento:

PASO 1
Ubique el cable de sincronización (FIGURA 2).
PASO 2
Desconecte ambos cables de los controles remotos de los respectivos
cables de los motores de las bases.
PASO 3
Conecte un extremo del enchufe macho del cable de sincronización en el
cable del motor de la base 1; coloque el otro extremo del enchufe macho
del cable de sincronización en el cable del motor de la base 2 (FIGURA 2).
PASO 4
Conecte (1) el cable del control remoto dentro del extremo del enchufe
hembra del cable de sincronización. El segundo control remoto no se
necesita. Conservar para uso futuro (FIGURA 2).
Ahora, un control remoto operará ambas bases.

RESOLUCIÓN DE PROBLEMAS
Si la base ajustable no funciona, investigue los síntomas y las posibles soluciones que se
proporcionan en el cuadro a continuación:
SÍNTOMA SOLUCIÓN
• Verifique que el cable de alimentación esté enchufado
a un tomacorriente conectado a tierra y que funcione.
Se recomienda utilizar un dispositivo de protección
contra sobretensión eléctrica puesto a tierra. Pruebe el
tomacorriente enchufando otro aparato que funcione.
• Verifique que el control remoto esté enchufado al motor.
• Desconecte el cable de alimentación, espere 30
segundos y conéctelo para restablecer los componentes
electrónicos.
• Se podría activar el interruptor eléctrico. Revise la caja
del interruptor del servicio eléctrico para verificar.
• Dispositivo de protección contra descargas eléctricas
defectuoso o la toma de corriente. Conecte la toma de
corriente a otro aparato que funcione para probarla.
• El mecanismo de la base puede estar obstruido. Eleve
la base y revise si hay alguna obstrucción. Retire la
obstrucción.
• La sección de la cabeza puede estar muy cerca de la
pared.
El control remoto no activará la base.
Se eleva la sección de cabeza, pero no
regresa a la posición horizontal (plana).

PROGRAMMATION DE LA TÉLÉCOMMANDE - 1 TÉLÉCOMMANDE POUR FAIRE FONCTIONNER 1 BASE
ÉTAPE 1
Branchez le cordon d’alimentation de télécommande
dans le câble du moteur de la base (FIGURE 1).
Pivotez le loquet du câble vers le bas et enclenchez
le loquet du câble en position fermée (FIGURE 1).
REMARQUE : ALIGNEZ LES BROCHES
AVANT D’INSÉRER LES FICHES (FIGURE 1).
N’ENTRELACEZ PAS LES CORDONS DANS LA
STRUCTURE DE LA BASE.
ÉTAPE 2
Branchez le cordon d’alimentation électrique dans
une prise électrique fonctionnelle et mise à la terre.
REMARQUE : UN DISPOSITIF DE PROTECTION
CONTRE LES SURTENSIONS EST RECOMMANDÉ
(NON COMPRIS).
ÉTAPE 3
Faites fonctionner la télécommande pour vérier
que la base fonctionne correctement.

SYNCHRONISATION TANDEM
Pour synchroniser les deux bases en tandem an d’opérer
comme une base, exécutez la procédure suivante :

Localiser la câble de synchronisation (FIGURE 2).
ÉTAPE 2
Débranchez les deux cordons de télécommande des câbles respectifs
du moteur de la base.
ÉTAPE 3
Branchez (1) extrémité mâle du câble de synchronisation dans le
câble du moteur de la base 1; placez l’autre extrémité mâle du câble
de synchronisation dans le câble du moteur de la base 2 (FIGURE 2).
ÉTAPE 4
Branchez cordon d’alimentation de (1) télécommande dans
l’extrémité femelle du câble de synchronisation (FIGURE 2). La
deuxième télécommande n’est pas requise. Conservez pour une
utilisation future.
Une télécommande va maintenant opérer les deux bases.

RÉSOLUTION DE PROBLÈMES
Si la base ajustable ne fonctionne pas, faites une recherche des symptômes et des solutions
possibles indiquées sur le tableau ci-après :
SYMPTÔME SOLUTION
• Vérifiez que le cordon électrique est branché dans une
prise électrique fonctionnelle et mise à la terre. Un
dispositif de protection contre la surcharge mis à la
terre est recommandé. Testez la prise en branchant un
autre appareil fonctionnel.
• Vérifiez que la télécommande est branchée dans le
moteur.
• Débranchez le cordon d’alimentation, attendez
30 secondes et rebranchez-le pour réinitialiser les
composants électroniques.
• Le disjoncteur électrique s’est peut-être déclenché.
Vérifiez la boîte du disjoncteur de distribution
électrique.
• Dispositif de protection contre la surcharge ou prise
électrique défectueux. Testez la prise en branchant un
autre appareil fonctionnel.
• Le mécanisme de la base peut être obstrué. Élevez
la base et vérifiez s’il y a une obstruction. Retirez
l’obstruction.
• La section de la tête peut-être trop proche du mur.
La télécommande n’activera pas la base.
La section de la tête s’élèvera, mais ne reviendra
pas à la position horizontale (à plat).
