1 Safety Description
This chapter introduces the safety announcements. Prior to performing any work on the UPS, please read the
user manual carefully to avoid human injury and device damage by irregular operations.
1.1 Safety Announcements
This section introduces the safety announcements that must be complied with and pay special attention while
installing, using, maintenance and other relative operations.
CAUTION!
Before operating, please read the announcements and operation instructions in this
section carefully to avoid accident.
The DANGER, WARNING, CAUTION, etc. in the manual are not all the safety announcements
that you must abide by, they are just the supplements for the safety announcements
during operating.
NOTE!
Our company does not undertake the responsibility caused by violating common safety
operation requirements or the safety standard of design, manufacture, and use.
1.1.1 Safety Instructions
CAUTION!
There exists high temperature and high voltage inside the UPS. During usage, strictly
comply with all warnings and operation instructions on the UPS and in the user manual.
CAUTION!
The UPS is class C3 device. If it is used in residential purpose, it may cause wireless
interference. User should take actions to avoid the interference.
• No liquid or other objects should be allowed to enter the UPS.
• UPS must be well grounded.
• In case of fire, please use dry powder fire extinguisher. If liquid fire extinguisher is used, it may cause
electric shock.
1.1.2 User Instructions for Battery
CAUTION!
Please use specified battery. Non-specified battery will damage the UPS.
• Only authorized professional can replace battery. Do not wear conductive objects, such as watches,
bracelets, and rings while handling. Wear rubber shoes and gloves and use tools with insulated
handle.
• Don't put tools or other conductive objects on the battery.
• Shorting the positive and negative poles of the battery or connecting them in reverse is prohibited.
This is done to prevent the risk of fire or electric shock.

• Before connecting or disconnecting the battery terminals, disconnect the charger first.
• The battery must be of the same type, model and manufacturer.
• Battery should be kept away from fire source or other electrical equipment that may easily cause
spark to avoid human injury.
• Don't open or destroy the battery. The electrolyte in the battery includes strong acid, which will be
harmful to skin and eyes. If you come in contact with the acid, clean it by running water immediately
and visit the hospital.
• The waste battery should be disposed according to the local regulations.
1.1.3 Anti-Static Protection
CAUTION!
The static electricity generated by human bodies may damage the electrostatic-
sensitive components on PCB. Before touching the sensitive component, please wear
anti-static device and connect the other end of the anti-static device to the ground.
1.2 Operation and Maintenance Requirements
CAUTION!
Only authorized professionals are allowed to open the UPS chassis, or it may cause
electric shock and failure of the UPS. This will make it out of warranty.
• If the UPS needs to be moved, rewired, or maintained, disconnect all electrical connections, including
AC power, battery power, etc., to isolate the power input. Do not work on the UPS until it has been
completely powered off (wait for at least 10 minutes). Otherwise, there may still be electricity present
in the output, which could lead to an electric shock.
• When dismantling the fan, avoid placing your fingers or tools into the rotating fan to prevent damage
to the device or injury to yourself.
1.3 Environment Requirements
DANGER
Do not place the UPS in an environment where there is inflammable, explosive gas,
or smog. Avoid conducting any operations in such an environment.
• Avoid using the UPS in places with direct sunlight, rain, or moisture.
• The normal operating temperature range for the UPS is 0ºC to 40ºC, with a relative humidity of 0%
to 95%, and without condensation (the recommended operating temperature is 20ºC to 25ºC with a
humidity of about 50%).
• Place the UPS on a flat, vibration-free surface with a vertical gradient of less than 5°. Ensure there
is good ventilation around the UPS. Maintain a clearance of at least 300mm to 500mm between the
rear or sides of the UPS and adjacent devices or walls. Insufficient ventilation can lead to increased
temperatures inside the UPS, potentially reducing the lifespan of internal components and affecting
the overall UPS lifespan.
• The UPS must be operated at altitudes below 2000m. If the altitude exceeds 2000m, it is necessary to
reduce the rated power in accordance with IEC62040-3:2011 before usage.

2. Overview
This chapter primarily introduces the UPS, explaining its model significance, features, structure, working
principle, and more.
2.1 Product Introduction
The PREMIUS series UPS is a high-frequency, pure online, double-conversion, intelligent product. This
comprehensive power solution offers exceptional security for file servers, enterprise servers, central servers,
microcomputers, concentrators, telecom systems, data centers, and other applications that demand high-
quality power protection. Its usage spans various critical business sectors, including postal services, finance,
networking, stock exchanges, railways, and more.
2.1.1 Model Configuration
The PREMIUS series UPS, available in capacities ranging from 7.5kVA to 20kVA, provides support for both three-
phase input single-phase output (3:1) mode, designated as 31 mode UPS, and single-phase input single-phase
output (1:1) mode, referred to as 11 mode UPS.

NOTE!
• The wiring terminals for the 31 mode exhibit slight differences. For specific
information regarding the wiring terminals for each mode, please refer to Section
3.4.1 Wiring Operations.
• The intelligent slot is an optional feature and includes the following components:
a built-in SNMP card, an RS485 + dry contact card, and a communication protocol
transfer card.
• If the BMD (Bypass Maintenance Device) and EPO (Emergency Power Off) detection
functions are not required, kindly short the ports using the provided 4P terminal.
When these functions need to be activated, remove the short wire from the BMD or
EPO port and connect it to the corresponding status signal input on the maintenance
bypass breaker or EPO system.
CAUTION!
• The UPS can operate normally only when both the bypass maintenance switch state
detection (BMD) and the EPO port are separately shorted.
• If the BMD port is disconnected, the UPS will switch to bypass power supply mode,
and simultaneously, the LCD will display a BMD fault notification. Upon reconnecting
the port with a short connection, the fault will automatically clear.
• In the case of the EPO port being disconnected, the UPS will initiate a shutdown
of both the inverter and bypass output. Simultaneously, the LCD will indicate an
EPO fault. To rectify this, the UPS must be completely powered down, and the EPO
port should be short-circuited. Following this action, the fault will be automatically
cleared.

2.1.4 Fittings Illustration
• PREMIUS series (7.5 kVA – 20 kVA)
The PREMIUS series UPS (7.5 kVA – 20 kVA) and distribution module are equipped with four types of copper bars,
detailed in Table 1-2. Users have the flexibility to connect the appropriate copper bar to the corresponding wiring
arrangement following the installation of the UPS or distribution module. This configuration can be adjusted to
the 31 mode based on the user's requirements.
