ON PLACEMENT
• Do not use the unit in places which are extremely hot, cold, dusty, or humid.

ON SAFETY

• Whenyouarenotgoingtousetheunitforalongperiodoftime,disconnecttheACpowercord.
ON AC VOLTAGE
• Beforeuse,checkthattheratedvoltageofyourunitmatchesyourlocalvoltage.
ON CONDENSATION
• When left in a heated room where it is warm and damp, water droplets or condensation may form inside the
CD player.
• When there is condensation inside the unit, the unit may not function normally.
• Letitstandfor1to2hoursbeforeturningthepoweron,orgraduallyheattheroomupanddrytheunitbeforeuse.
• Ensureaminimumdistanceof5cmaroundtheapparatusforsufcientventilation.
• Ensurethattheventilationisnotimpededbycoveringtheventilationopeningswithitems,suchasnewspapers,
table-cloths, curtains, etc..
• Donotplacenakedamesources,suchaslightedcandlesontheapparatus.
• Take attention to the environmental aspects of battery disposal.
• Use the apparatus only in moderate climates (not in tropical climates).
• Donotexposetheapparatustodrippingorsplashing.

Should any trouble occur, disconnect the AC power cord and refer servicing to qualied personnel.

POWER SUPPLY
USING HOUSE CURRENT
Beforeuse,checkthattheratedvoltage
ofyourunitmatchesyourlocalvoltage.
USING BATTERIES
Disconnect the AC power cord from the AC inlet of the
unit. Battery power is cut automatically by the cord while
it is connected.
Insert6UM-2(sizeC)batteries.

When the volume decrease, or the sound distorts, replace
all of the batteries with new ones.
ADJUSTING THE SOUND
TO ADJUST THE VOLUME
FOR PRIVATE LISTENING
Plug in headphones (ø3.5 mm stereo mini-plug) to the
PHONES jack.
Whenheadphonesarepluggedin,thespeakersare
automatically disconnected.

FOR BETTER RECEPTION
FM
TO STOP PLAYBACK
Press the STOP button and the display shows the total
tracks of the disk
COMPACT DISC PLAYBACK
1 . Set to CD. 2. Open the CD door by pushing Open / Close CD
area.

3. Insertadiscwiththelabelsidefacingup.
4 . Close the CD door.
The disc will rotate and the total tracks of the disc
will show on the display.
TO SKIP TO THE BEGINNING OF A TRACK
• Presseitheroneoftheskipbuttonsaccordingtothedesiredskipdirection.
• Play/back resumes from the selected track.
• Whenthebuttonispressedonceduringplay,theprevioustrackstartsagain.
• Whenthebuttonispressedonceduringplay,thenexttrackplays.
SEARCHING FOR A PASSAGE WITHIN A TRACK
• Keeptheorbuttonpressedduringplayback,andreleasethebuttonassoonasyou
recognisethedesiredpassage.ThennormalCDplaybackwillresumefromthispoint.
NOTE : FMstereoLEDindicatorlightswhenreceivingFMstereobroadcastandtheMODEswitchseton"FMST.".
AFTER LISTENING
Set the FUNCTION switch to OFF / TAPE.

PROGRAM TRACKS
Programmingtracksofdiscarepossiblewhenplaybackisstopped.Upto20trackscanbestoredin
the memory in any order.
1. In stop mode, press PROG button , the 0andthePROGRAMindicatorwillbeashingonandoffonthedisplay.
2. PressCDSKIP/SEARCHFORWARDbuttontoselecttherstdesiredtracktobeprogrammed.
3. PressPROGbuttontoenter.Thedisplaychangestoshow0anditwillbeashing.
4. Repeatsteps2&3tostoreotherdesiredtracksuntilalltracksareprogrammed.
5. PressPLAY/PAUSEbuttontostartplaybackfromtherstprogrammedtrack.
6. PressSTOPbuttontostopprogramplayback.
Note:Programfunctioncanonlybedoneinstopmode.
To Erase the Memory(Program)
Tocleartheprogram,youmayhavetwoways:
1. Press STOP button when the disc is stopped, or
2. OpentheCDcompartmentlid,programwillbeerased.

Note on CD-R/RW discs
- Becauseofnon-standardizedformatdenition/productionofCD-R/RW,
playbackqualityandperformancearenotguaranteed.
- ManufacturerisnotresponsiblefortheplayabilityofCD-R/RWduetorecordingconditions,
suchasPCperformance,writingsoftware,mediaability,etc.
- Do not attach a seal or label to either side of the CD-R/RW disc. It may cause a malfunction.
- ItisrecommendedtorecordonlyaudiolesonCD-R/RWdiscsforeasyreading.

REPEAT PLAYBACK
Thisfunctionallowsasingletrackoralltracksonadisctobeplayedrepeatedly.
TO REPEAT THE SAME TRACK
Press the REPEAT button once during playback, Repeat
indicatorwillilluminateandkeepashing.
TO CANCEL REPEAT PLAYBACK FUNCTION
PresstheREPEATbuttonagainuntilrepeatindicatoroff.
TO REPEAT THE WHOLE DISC
Press the REPEAT button twice until repeat indicator
willlighten.
MIX / RANDOM PLAY
PROGRAM PLAYBACK
Press MIX button once, the display will show a " MIX " and play the disc in Mix / Random order automatically.
WhenCDisplayinginMix/Randommode,press"SKIP"toselectanothertrackrandomly.

1 . Slide the Function switch to OFF / TAPE position. 3 . Press the PLAY button.

Press the F.FWD button. Press the STOP button to stop
windingatthedesiredposition.
2 . Insert the cassette.

IftheCDskipsorwillnotplay,thediscmayneedcleaning
.Beforeplaying,wipethediscfromthecentreoutwitha
cleaningcloth.Afterplaying,storethediscinitscase.
CLEANING THE UNIT
Donotusevolatilechemicalsonthisunit.Cleanbylightly
wipingwithasoftcloth.
IMPORTANT NOTE
Ifanabnormaldisplayindicationoranoperatingproblem
occurs, disconnect the AC power cord and remove the
batteries. Wait at least 5 seconds, then reconnect the AC
power cord or reinstall the batteries.
WARNING
ShouldtheCDdoorbeopenedbeforethereadingofthe
CDcompleted,ajammingnoisemayoccur.Thisisresolved
byclosingtheCDdoor.
MAINTENANCE
CLEANING THE CD LENS
If the CD lens is dusty, clean it with a brush-blower. Blow
several times on the lens and remove the dust with the
brush.Fingerprintsmayberemovedwithacottonswab
moistened with alcohol.
