Introduction
Description
For classrooms, conference rooms, and other meeting spaces, the Leviton 8-Button Control Panel
provides an easy to use control interface. This wallplate is used with the Leviton HDMI and VGA
Autoswitching HDBaseT Extender Wallplate (41920-HRC). It is pre-configured with buttons to control
display or projector on/off, volume up/down, and source selection, as well as control panel lock. It is
easily setup with IR learning capability and is powered from the Autoswitching wallplate via Category
cable.

Installation
1. This control panel is for usew with the Leviton HDMI and VGA Autioswitching HDBaseT
Extender Wallplate Transmitter (41920-HRC) and HDBaseT 70M Receiver (41920-HTR)
2. For installation of 41920-HRC Autoswitching Wallplate follow the instructions that came with
that unit
3. Run one twisted pair cable from the location where the Control Panel will be mounted to the
location of the Autoswitching Wallplate (see note on next page regarding twisted pair cable)
4. All twisted pair cables should be terminated with the appropriately rated category jacks. This
allows the permanent link between the two devices to be tested
5. Use the supplied adapter cable to connect the Control Panel to the Autoswitching Wallplate

6. Connect the 3.5 mm plug of the supplied IR emitter to the IR OUT port of the 41910-HTR
HDBaseT Receiver
7. Locate the IR target on the display device you wish to control. These are sometimes hidden
behind a dark piece of plastic. Use a flashlight if necessary to locate its exact location.
8. Peel the paper from the front of the IR emitter and stick it directly over the IR target on the
display device
Twisted Pair Cabling
For best performance, twisted pair cable should be installed in accordance with TIA-568-C.0 and
NEC 300 and field certified using ANSI/TIA-568 UL approved testers
NOTE: Leviton recommends Category 6A cabling for best performance

System Setup
The 8-Button Control Panel works in conjunction with the Autoswitching Wallplate. The LEARN
button and the USB port referenced below are on the Autoswitching Wallplate. The buttons are
referenced using the schema in the diagram below.

IR Setup
1. Press and hold button 1 until the blue button light goes out
2. Press and hold button 4 (button 1 will also light up) until all the Control Panel buttons light up
3. Press the LEARN button on the Autoswitching Wallplate momentarily. The Control Panel is
now ready for setup
NOTE: If the LEARN button is not pressed within 60 seconds, the Autoswitching Wallplate will
return to normal operation
4. Press one of the top 4 buttons that you wish to load with an IR command. The button selected
will flash while the other buttons remain lit.
NOTE: Only buttons 1, 2, 5, and 6 should be loaded with IR commands. Buttons 3, 4, 7, and 8
have dedicated functions they perform
5. Aim the remote control that came with the display device at the IR IN on the Autoswitching
Wallplate
6. Press and hold the button on the remote control that you wish to program. When the IR code
has been learned the button on the Control Panel will stop flashing
7. You may now repeat setup steps 4 –6 for the other buttons on the Control Panel.
8. If the wrong IR code is learned into the system, simply repeat steps 4- 6 and press the correct
button on the remote control
9. Once all buttons are programmed, press and hold button 8 until all the buttons go dark to exit
setup mode
NOTE: If no button is pressed after 60 seconds, the system will exit setup mode automatically and
save any IR codes that were learned

Copy/Paste Function
When deploying identical systems across multiple rooms it is convenient to use the Copy/Paste
function built into the system. This requires the use of an empty USB memory stick with less than
4GB of storage (not supplied) and a Type A USB female to micro USB male adapter (not supplied).
The memory stick and adapter are available as a kit, Leviton P/N 41920-00K.
Copy
1. Plug the USB memory stick into the adapter and insert the micro USB male end of the adapter
into the PROGRAM port of the Autoswitching Wallplate
2. Simultaneously press and hold the SOURCE/AUTO button and the LEARN button until the
SOURCE/AUTO button begins to flash at which time you may release the buttons
3. The SOURCE/AUTO button will continue to flash until the process is finished
4. Once the SOURCE/AUTO button has stopped flashing it is safe to remove the memory stick
5. The IR codes have now been copied to the memory stick
Paste
1. Plug the USB memory stick into the adapter and insert the micro USB male end of the adapter
into the PROGRAM port of the Autoswitching Wallplate that you want to paste IR codes into
2. Press and hold the LEARN button until the SOURCE/AUTO button begins to flash at which
time you may release the button
3. The SOURCE/AUTO button will continue to flash until the process is finished
4. Once the SOURCE/AUTO button has stopped flashing it is safe to remove the memory stick
5. The IR codes have now been pasted from the memory stick to the Autoswitching Wallplate

1. Press and hold button 1 until the blue button light goes out
2. Press and hold button 4 (button 1 will also light up) until all the Control Panel buttons light up
3. Press the following Control Panel buttons in order 5-4-2-6-1-7 (6 digit code)
4. All buttons should now flash indicating that the Control Panel is ready to restore to factory
defaults
NOTE: To exit without resetting, allow the unit to time-out after 60 seconds at this point
5. Press and hold button 8 until all the buttons go dark
6. The Control Panel has now been set to factory defaults
System Operation
Once the system is setup and programmed the Control Panel allows users to power on/off a display
device, turn the volume up and down and switch between the three inputs to the Autoswitching
Wallplate. Another feature is the ability to lock the Control Panel to keep unauthorized users from
operating the system.
Lock
1. To lock the Control Panel, press and hold the lock button (button 8). The button will light up.
Hold the button until the Control Panel button light goes out
2. The Control Panel is now locked
Unlock
1. To unlock the Control Panel, press the Control Panel buttons in the following sequence; 1-2-3-

2. The buttons will light up as they are pressed. Once the sequence has been pressed the
Control Panel will be unlocked

Introduction
Description
Que ce soit dans les classes, les salles de conférences ou tout autre lieu de rencontre, le poste de
commande à huit boutons de Leviton présente toujours une interface facile à utiliser. On s’en sert
avec une plaque de connexion à sélection d’entrée automatique/manuelle (modèle 41920-HRC de
Leviton). Ses boutons permettent d’allumer ou d’éteindre l’écran, de régler le volume sonore et de
sélectionner la source du dispositif d’affichage auquel il est raccordé; l’un d’entre eux sert aussi à le
verrouiller. Facile à configurer, il peut apprendre à reconnaître des signaux infrarouges et est
alimenté par la plaque de connexion via un câble catégorisé.

Connexions à effectuer
Aperçu
Installation
1. Ce poste doit être relié à une plaque de connexion à sélection d’entrée automatique/manuelle
(41920-HRC) et à un récepteur HDBaseT (41920-HTR) de Leviton.
2. Installer la plaque de connexion conformément aux directives qui l’accompagnent.
3. Acheminer un câble à paires torsadées de l’emplacement où le poste sera installé à celui de la
plaque (voir la remarque de la page suivante concernant ce type de câble).
4. Tous les câbles devraient être dotés de connecteurs de catégorie appropriée permettant de
vérifier la liaison permanente entre les deux dispositifs à raccorder.
5. Connecter le poste à la plaque au moyen du câble de liaison fourni.

1. Connecter la fiche de 3,5 mm de l’émetteur d’infrarouges fourni au port IR OUT du récepteur.
2. Situer la cible d’infrarouges du dispositif d’affichage visé en utilisant une lampe de poche au
besoin (cette cible est parfois cachée dernière un morceau de plastique foncé).
3. Retirer le morceau de papier de l’avant de l’émetteur et le coller directement sur la cible
d’infrarouges du dispositif.
Câble à paires torsadées
Pour optimiser le rendement, on recommande d’installer le câblage à paires torsadées conformément
à la norme TIA-568-C.0 et à l’article 300 du NEC américain et de certifier l’installation au moyen
d’instruments homologués UL suivant la norme ANSI/TIA-568.
REMARQUE : Pour un rendement optimal, Leviton recommande d’utiliser du câblage de
catégorie 6A.
