OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Preface These operating instructions are to make it easier to get to know the machine and to use
its intended usage options.
The operating constructions contain important notes for operating the machine safely,
properly and economically efficiently. Their observation helps avoid dangers, repair costs
and failure times and to increase the reliability and service life of the machine.
The operating instructions must be supplemented by instructions based on present
national provisions on accident prevention and environmental protection.
The operating instructions must be available at the site of use of the machine at all times.
The operating instructions must be read and applied by every person charged with work at
the machine, e.g.,
•operation, including equipment, troubleshooting in the work progress, removal of
production wastes, care, disposal of operating and auxiliary substances
•maintenance (service, inspection, repair) and/or
•transport
In addition to the operating instructions and the binding rules applicable in the country of
use or the site of deployment, the recognized rules for safety-compliant and technically
proper work must be observed.
Required tools For the masonry table saw to be operated, a tool in the shape of a saw blade is needed.
These tools can be purchased via the manufacturer.
Changes and reservations We strive for accuracy and up-to-datedness of these operating instructions. To maintain

1.1. Principles of intended use
The warranty obligation of the manufacturer and supplier is voided for improper or non-intended use.
Any change to the machine which is not carried out by the manufacturer is prohibited. Any design
changes, removal or addition of parts to the machine require the written approval of the manufacturer.
The machine is constructed according to the state of the art and recognized technical safety rules.
However, danger to life and limb of the user or third parties, and/or damage to the machine or other
property may still arise from its use.
Only use the machine in technically faultless condition and for intended use, aware of safety and
danger complying with the operating manual. You should particularly handle malfunctions which can
compromise safety immediately, or have them addressed by experts.
Intended use The LISSMAC masonry table saw is solely intended for cutting components of mineral material in the
wet-cutting procedure. Separation of wood or metal is forbidden! The masonry table saw may only be
operated by one person. Any other use or use above and beyond is not considered intended use.
Intended use also includes compliance with the operating manual and observance of inspection and
maintenance manual.
Non-intended use Foreseeable misuse / non-intended use:
Cutting without or with open saw blade protective hood
Cutting without water
Cutting of wood, plastic or metal
Building changes, which alter the safety or the table saw design type
The security of the masonry table saw is only guaranteed when working with LISSMAC saw
blades
1.2. Organizational measures
The operating manual must be readily available on site and be easily accessible.
All additions to the operating manual, all generally valid legal and otherwise binding regulations for
accident prevention and environmental protection are to be followed and instructed.
Such obligations may also apply, for example, to the handling of hazardous materials or the wearing
of personal protective gear or traffic regulations.
Personnel working on the machine must have read and understood the operating manual, particularly
the Safety Instructions chapter, before starting work. This particularly applies to personnel only
occasionally engaged with the machine, such as those involved in tooling and maintenance.
Regularly, perform checks for safety and hazard awareness of operators in accordance with the
operating manual.

Use personal protection equipment as required by regulations.
Keep all safety instructions and danger warnings on the masonry saw and in legible condition.
Replace safety and danger instructions that are damaged or non-readable any more.
For safety-related changes to the machine or its running behavior, stop the machine immediately and
mark it accordingly. Report the problem to the responsible post/person.
No changes, removal or addition of parts without the written approval of the manufacturer!
The instructions of the tool maker must be followed.
Only use tested original replacement parts from the manufacturer.
Observe required or prescribed deadlines given in the operating manual for inspection.
Use proper workshop equipment to performing maintenance work.
1.3. Staff selection and qualification, general obligations
Operators must be at least 18 years of age and both mentally and physically fit to operate the masonry
saw. All personnel must be trained in the operation and be explicitly, in writing, authorized by the
company to operate the machine.
Establish responsibilities of the personnel for operating, changeover, servicing, and repairing the
machine.
Make sure that only authorized personnel is working with the machine.
The operator must wear personal safety equipment according to the safety regulations, such as safety
shoes, safety gloves and safety glasses and hearing protection.
Direct unauthorized personnel, who are not working on the machine, away from the work area.
Block off the working area, if necessary.
Work at electrical equipment of the machine must only be performed by a qualified electrical or
instructed person under the management and supervision of a qualified electrician according to the
electrical safety rules.
Staff to be trained, instructed, informed or in the scope of general training must only work with the
machine under the continuous supervision of an experienced person.

1.4. Safety notes on the operating phases
1.4.1. Transport, assembly and installation
Transport of the masonry table saw must only take place in the transport position.
Lifting operations should take place only via a crane or by 2 persons.
1.4.2. Commissioning
When inserting the saw blade, observe the running direction.
Ensure that the floor meets the carrying capacity requirements. All obstacles must be removed from
the working area. Working area must have sufficient lighting.
Visual inspection of the entire masonry table saw for damage and defects.
Special inspection of the safety facilities.
Only use suitable and tested tools. No rotating tools, that have a maximum rotating speed below the
machine's rated speed, must be used. Defective or torn tools must be replaced without delay.
1.4.3. Operation
Refrain from working in any manner that may compromise safety.
Take measures to ensure that the masonry saw is operated only in a safe, functional condition.
The masonry saw must be checked at least once per shift for externally identifiable defects or
damages. Any changes which occur (including operating behavior) must be reported immediately to
the responsible post/person. If necessary, immediately stop the machine and secure it against restart.
Immediately stop and secure the masonry saw in case of malfunctions.
Immediately correct malfunctions. Electrical work may only be carried out by qualified electricians.
Only suitable and tested tools must be used.
Never touch the spinning saw blade.
Cutting without blade guard is forbidden. The operator must be protected from rotating parts.
Without a residual current device (RCD) in the supply line or the distribution box, it is forbidden to
connect the machine to the mains.

Do not cant the saw blade when cutting.
The mains plug must not be pulled under load.
Take the water pump from the tray if there is a danger of frost (already-frozen pumps must not be
switched on - thaw slowly).
Removing or opening the blade guard and reaching into the saw blade during cutting is forbidden.
This work must only be performed with the saw blade at a standstill and the motor switched off.
1.4.4. Special work in the scope of use of the machine
Follow all setup, maintenance, and inspection activities and schedules prescribed by the operating
manual, including all information about the replacement of parts / assemblies. These activities
may only be carried out by technical personnel.
If the masonry saw is turned off during maintenance and repair work, it must be secured against
unexpected application of power. (lockout/tagout)
Before cleaning, all openings in which no cleaning agent should penetrate due to safety
and/or functional reasons must be covered and glued. Electric motors, switches and plugs are
especially at risk. After cleaning, remove the covers/tape completely.
During service and repair work, always tighten loose bolt joints.
If dismantling is required for fitting, servicing and repair, the safety features and guards must be
reinstalled and checked immediately following the service and repair work.
No rotating tools which have a maximum rotation speed smaller than the nominal speed of the
machine can be used.
1.4.5. Relocation of the masonry table saw
Relocation of the masonry table saw is only permitted with the saw blade standing still and the
saw table locked in place.
Before leaving the operating position, the electrical motor must be switched off and the saw blade
be at a standstill. There is a danger of injury from the rotating saw blade.

1.5. Safety instructions for special types of dangers
1.5.1. Danger for the operator by the machine
Don not perform work or relocate the masonry table saw with the saw blade spinning.
The electrical motor of the masonry table saw must only be taken into operation for cutting as per
intended use.
1.5.2. Electrical power
Use only original fuses with the specified current rating. In case of malfunctions, turn the masonry
saw off immediately. Electrical work may only be carried out by technical and qualified personnel.
The machine's electrical equipment must be inspected/checked regularly. Faults such as loose
connections or damaged cables must be corrected immediately. Perform Lockout/Tagout.
1.5.3. Dust
When working in close quarters, follow any applicable national guidelines.
Use personal respiratory protection equipment.
To prevent airborne dust during cutting, the saw blade must be sprayed/cooled using water.
Dry cutting is prohibited. It can damage the saw blade and may lead to collateral damage or
personal injury.

1.6. Transport
Only use a suitable transport vehicle with sufficient carrying capacity.
Reliably secure loads based on the provisions. Use suitable attachment points.
Disconnect the machine from the power supply even for smaller distances changes.
1.7.
Packaging and Storage
To ensure sufficient protection during shipping and transport, the machine and its components are
carefully packaged. When receiving the machine, the machine should be checked for damage. The
packaging of the device consists of materials which can be recycled. Put these by type into the
relevant recycling containers, so that they can be recycled properly.
If the machine is not immediately put into operation after unpacking, it must be protected from
moisture and dirt.
1.8.
Environmental protection
Packaging material, cleaning agents, used or residual operating materials as well as unpacked
wear parts such as drive belts or motor oils, must be recycled according to the provisions on
environmental protection applicable at the site of use.
1.9.
Disposal
If the end of life of the machine has been reached, in particular if functional errors occur, make the
obsolete machine unusable.
Dispose of the device according to the valid regulations for environmental protection of your
country. Electrical waste may not be disposed of in household waste. Take the used device to a
central waste collection center.

2.4. Noise power level
WARNING
Risk of hearing damage
Regulations state that hearing protection must be worn above a noise level of 85 dB (A), .
Wear personal hearing protection
The details define volume of noise level, related to the operator workspace and the noise power level of the
masonry table saw.
Without load at maximum speed
The emission noise pressure at the operator's place LpA 68,5 dB (A)
The measured noise level LwA 79,8 dB (A)
Peak sound pressure level at the workplace 80,7 dB (A)
The measurements were carried out with no load and at full speed with a cutting tool with a diameter of
350 mm with segmented edge.
The sound produced by the engine was measured as specified by the standards DIN EN 12418 and EN 3744.
2.5. Hand arm vibration
WARNING
Hazard due to vibration
Vibrations can lead to bone or joint injuries and to circulation dysfunctions.
When working with the machine take regular breaks.
The level of vibration transmitted to the hand-arm system has been measured according to standard UNI EN
ISO 5349-1 while cutting Poroton bricks. (L 280 x W 140 x H 100 mm) using a cutting tool with a diameter of
350 mm, sectors type.
Total vibration value:

•Weight of the operator

3.
COMMISSIONING
3.1. Connections and operating materials
Power connection Reliable power source with operating voltage indicated on the rating plate and the corresponding protection
must be present.
Water tray The water tray must only be filled with clean water. To reduce dust formation during cutting, the saw blade
must always be lubricated with water. Dry cutting is forbidden!
NOTICE
Freezing of water pump
Remove water pump from the water tub in case of frost
Remove water pump from the water tray
Empty all water pipes of the water pump
Let a frozen pump thaw slowly and inspect for damage
3.2. Tool selection
NOTICE
Tool selection
No rotating tools which have a maximum rotation speed smaller than the nominal speed of the
machine can be used. Defective or broken tools must be replaced immediately.
Using a non-approved or non- admitted tools such as cutting discs or circular saw blades is
prohibited. Damaged tools may not be used!
Selection of the saw
blade
All tools in the area of diamond tools are marked in colors. Depending on the application purpose and area,
tools are different. To have the best results, the parameters must match. With this diagram, the optimal
cutting performance can be determined.

Storage of tools Tools must be protected from moisture during storage. The segments attached around the saw blade must
be protected from damage.
The tool prices can be determined in the LISSMAC sales leaflet. This sales leaflet can be procured from the
manufacturer at any time.

3.3. Controls
Item 1 START BUTTON (GREEN):
Press the button fully to start machine.
Item 2 STOP BUTTON (RED):
Press the button fully to stop machine.
Item 3 OVER CURRENT PROTECTION :
It intervenes when there is overcurrent, interrupting the machine supply. Its intervention is
indicated by the expulsion of the manual reset. In case OCP has tripped, wait a few minutes and
reset it by pressing its central pin.
Item 4 DEVICE FOR DISCONNECTION FROM THE MAINS (Plug):
Machine power supply point.
For maintenance and adjustments, unplug from the machine.
