OPERATING MANUAL
Preface This operating manual shall facilitate the operator to become acquainted with the machine and to use
its intended application possibilities.
This operating manual contains important notes, in order to be able to operate the machine safely,
properly and economically. Its observance helps to avoid dangers, to avoid repair costs and down-times
and to increase the reliability and the life span of the machine.
The operating manual must be supplemented with instructions due to existing national regulations for
accident prevention and environmental protection.
The operating manual must be constantly available at the operation site of the machine.
The operating manual must be read and used by each person who is assigned with work with the
machine e.g.:
operation, including preparation, fault correction during operation, removal of production waste,
care, disposal of operating and auxiliary materials
servicing (maintenance, inspection, repair) and/or
transport
Apart from the regulations and notes in the present operating manual and the obligatory regulations for
accident prevention valid in the country of use, recognized work and safety rules must also be adhered
to.
Necessary tools A tool in the form of a saw blade is needed so that the floor saw can be operated. These tools can be
purchased from the manufacturer.

FEATURES & BENEFITS
The floor saw convinces through the innovative dry cutting process. The cutting surface is contaminated by
saving cooling water and it can be processed faster. The use of a dry floor saw thus accelerates the entire on-
site sequence and additionally saves disposal costs.
With integrated dry extraction - closed suction system for dust-free dry cutting
No water requirement, no contamination of the surface - casting of the finished joint without a further
work step
Ideal for fast joint production or restoration work and confined building sites
Is suitable for creating connecting joints, flush joints, slot joints for induction loops in the traffic
engineering
Lowering and lifting of the saw blade takes place electro-hydraulically with cutting depth display,
damages of the saw blade are thus avoided
Drive via a robust hydrostat, which ensures an even, controlled machine guidance
By means of the smooth-running stub axle steering, the floor saw can be implemented and set up quickly
and simply without physical strain. Cutting corrections can also be executed without any effort

GENERAL SAFETY NOTES
2.1. Principle intended use
The manufacturer and the supplier do not assume liability with wrong or non-intended use. Each
change of the machine, which was not executed by the manufacturer is prohibited. Changes through
extensions or conversions on the floor saw may only be executed with written permission of the
manufacturer.
The machine is built according to the state of the art and the recognized safety-relevant rules.
Nevertheless, dangers for life and limb of the user or third parties or impairments of the machine and
other real values can result.
The machine may only be used in a technically perfect state as well intended, in a safety- and danger-
aware manner while observing the operating manual. In particular, immediately remove faults which
can impair safety, or (have them removed).
Intended use The LISSMAC floor saw is a floor cutting-off machine and is exclusively intended for cutting joints in
concrete or asphalt without water. Cutting comprises saw blades. The floor saw may be operated by
one person only. The operating position is behind the handle bars. Any other use above and beyond is
considered non-intended use.
Inclined cut: The saw blade can be tilted up to 5 degrees for an oblique cut via the adjusting crank.
Due to the inclined position of the saw blade, the blade guard is at a distance from the curb or a wall
and bond joints can be cut in this manner.
Part of the intended use is also the observance of the operating manual and the adherence to of the
inspection and maintenance instruction.
Non-intended use Foreseeable misapplications / non-intended use:
Cutting without blade guard
Cutting concrete (conditionally possible with dry cutting. We recommend to only wet-cut
concrete)
Cutting wood, plastics or metal
(except for rebar embedded in concrete)
Structural changes, which affect the operational safety of the floor saw

2.2. Organizational measures
The operating manual must be kept at hand for every person at the place of work of the floor saw.
Additions to the operating manual are generally accepted legal and other obligatory regulations for
accident prevention and for environmental protection, which must be observed and instructed.
Such obligations can also relate to e. g. the handling of dangerous materials or wearing personal
protection equipment or traffic-legal regulations.
The personnel assigned with activities at the floor saw must have read and understood the operating
manual before starting work, particularly the chapter safety notes. This applies in particular to
personnel only occasionally working on the machine, e. g. with the preparation, maintenance.
Regularly check safety awareness of the personnel as prescribed in the operating manual.
Always use the necessary and prescribed personal protection equipment.
Observe all safety and warning signs on the floor saw and keep them in a legible state! Replace
safety and warning notes that are damaged or can no longer be read.
Shut the machine down immediately if safety-relevant changes occur in the machines operational
behavior, and label it accordingly. Report the fault to the responsible place/person.
Do not make any changes by extensions and conversions without written permission of the
manufacturer. The instructions of the tool manufacturer must be observed.
Only use checked original spare parts of the manufacturer.
Adhere to prescribed periods for inspection or which are indicated in the manual.
A workshop tools appropriate for the work is absolutely necessary for executing repairs.
Machines with combustion engines may not be used indoors or in confined spaces.
Always obtain detailed information about underground lines in the cutting area before cutting and
take corresponding precautionary measures.

2.3. Choice of personnel and - qualification; fundamental obligations
Operators must be at least 18 years of age and be mentally and physically capable to operate the floor
saw. All personnel working with of the floor saw must be assigned in writing by the employer first.
Specify responsibilities of the personnel for operating, preparing, maintaining and repairing.
Ensure that only assigned personnel will become active on the machine.
The operator must wear personal safety equipment such as safety shoes, safety gloves, hard hat a dust
mask and goggles, which correspond to the safety regulations.
Unnecessary stay in the work area of the floor saw is prohibited. Banish unnecessary personnel from
the work area. Shut off the work area if necessary.
At all times, the operator of the floor saw has to ensure not to endanger himself and other persons. All
obstacles, which obstruct the work process or the maneuvering of the machine, must be removed from
the work site.
Code-compliant work on electrical equipment of the machine may only be carried out by an examined
electrician or by instructed persons under guidance and supervision of an examined electrician.
The operator's responsibility must be defined with regard to traffic regulations and enable him to
refuse unsafe instructions from third parties.
Personnel to be trained, instructed or within the scope of a general training may only operate the
machine under constant supervision of an experienced operator!
2.4. Safety notes regarding the operating phases
2.4.1. Transport, assembly and installation
Transport, assembly and installations at/with the floor saw may only take place in transport position.
The floor saw must be secured against rolling away.
Transport, assembly and installations at/with the floor saw may only take place with dismantled saw blade
and switched off engine.
In consideration of the high operating weight, the machine should be transported exclusively by a crane.
Transport may only take place, if all parts at the machine are tightened and individual parts cannot fall off.

2.4.2. Commissioning
The running direction of the saw blade must be observed when using the saw blade. The cutting
process must always be up-cutting.
Protect the hands from sharp edges when inserting the saw blade.
Ensure that the underground on which one cuts fulfills the load capacity. All obstacles must be
removed from the cutting area and good lighting must be ensured.
Visual check of the entire floor saw for damages and defects. Special control of the protection device.
Smoking is absolutely prohibited during refueling.
Special caution is required when refueling. Engine parts, which have become hot through the
operation, present a fire hazard.
Gasoline may only be store in approved containers.
Rotary tools, whose maximum speed is lower than the nominal speed of the machine, may not be
used. Do NOT use defective or torn tools.
2.4.3. Operation
Refrain from any mode of operation that might compromise safety.
Take measures, so that the floor saw is only operated in a safe and functional state!
Check the floor saw for externally recognizable damages and defects at least once per shift. Report
occurred changes (including the operational behavior) immediately to the responsible place/person!
Switch off the machine immediately if necessary and secure it against restarting.
Immediately switch off and secure the floor saw with malfunctions. Have faults eliminated
immediately. Electrical work may only be carried out by trained electrical personnel.
Only use suitable and checked tools.
For protection against acceleration, the depth feed of the saw blade must be lowered slowly into the
ground. Any contact with the rotating tool must be avoided.
Cutting without blade guard or driving belt cover is prohibited.
The operator must be protected against rotating parts.

2.4.4. Maneuvering the floor saw
Maneuvering of the floor saw may only be carried out when the saw blade is standing still.
Before leaving the operating position at the floor saw, the engine must be stopped and the saw blade
must stand still.
Danger of injury exists through a rotating saw blade.
The operator may not leave the floor saw, as long as the parking brake has not been operated. Any
rolling away must be prevented.
2.4.5. Special work in the context of the use of the machine
Observe the setting, maintenance and inspection activities and - dates including specifications for the
exchange of parts/partial equipment prescribed in this operating manual. These activities may only be
carried out by authorized technical personnel.
Inform the operating personnel before starting the execution of special and maintenance work! Name a
supervisor!
If the floor saw is switched off during maintenance and repair work, it must be secured against
unexpected restarting.
Before cleaning, all openings must be covered and sealed, into which no cleaning agent may penetrate
for safety and functional reasons. Electric motors, switches and plug connections are especially
endangered. The covers/seals must be removed completely after cleaning.
Always tighten loose screw connections during maintenance and repair work.
Any safety devices removed during the preparation, maintenance and repair has to be reinstalled
immediately after conclusion of the maintenance and repair work.
Rotary tools, whose maximum speed is smaller than the nominal speed of the machine may not be
used.
2.5. Note on special types of danger
2.5.1. Dangers for the operator through the machine
Before leaving the operating position at the floor saw, the engine must be turned off and the saw blade
must stand still. There is a cut hazard form rotating saw blade.
Work on the floor saw as well as the maneuvering with rotating saw blade are prohibited.
The engine of the floor saw may only be operated for the intended use:
Drive of the floor saw / the saw blade.
The outlet opening of the exhaust pipe must always point away from the operator. Do not inhale
exhaust gases.
The exhaust system gest hot during operation. Avoid contact and wear protective equipment.

2.5.2. Electrical energy
Only use original fuses with prescribed rating. The floor saw must be switched off immediately with
malfunctions! Electrical work may only be carried out by examined and qualified technical personnel.
The electrical equipment of a machine is must be inspected/checked regularly. Defects, such as loose
connections or damaged cables, must be eliminated immediately. The machine must be labeled so
that the machine is not operated by other persons.
2.5.3. Dust
When working in confined spaces, observe existing national regulations if necessary.
In order to minimize dust formation during cutting, necessary suction power must be ensured.
2.5.4. Noise

2.5.5. Exhaust gases
Machines with internal combustion engines may not be operated indoors or in confined spaces.
2.6. Transport
When moving with a crane, attachment means with sufficient load capacity must be used. Check the
attachment means for damages beforehand.
Determine a competent instructor for the lifting process.
Lift floor saws only in accordance with the specifications of the operating manual professionally with
a hoist.
Only use a suitable transport vehicle with sufficient load capacity.
Secure the load reliably on the basis of the regulations. Use suitable attachment points
The motor of the joint cover must be switched off even with a slight location change. The saw blade
may not rotate any longer with direct restart.

2.7. Packing and storage
In order to ensure sufficient protection during dispatch and transport, the machine and its components
were packed carefully. When the machine has been received, it should be checked for damages. The
packing of the device consists of recyclable materials. Please place these into the collection containers
for recycling.
The machine may not be operated in case of damage. Damaged cables and plug connections also present
a danger and may not be used. Inform the manufacturing firm in this case.
If the machine is not operated directly after unpacking, it must be protected against humidity and dirt.
2.8. Environmental protection
Packing material, cleaning agents, used or remaining operating means as well as unpacked wear parts
such as drive belts or engine oils must be supplied to recycling for environmental protection according to
the regulations valid at the place of work.
2.9. Disposal
When the end of use of the device has been reached, in particular if malfunctions occur, please disable
the worn-out device.
Dispose of the device according to the environmental regulations valid in your country. Electrical waste
may not be disposed together with household waste. Hand the worn-out device to a central collection
point.
