Safety Warnings
• Read all the instructions carefully before
using the unit and keep them for future
reference.
• Retain the manual. If you pass the unit
onto a third party make sure to include this
manual.
• Check that the voltage marked on the
rating label matches your mains voltage.
Damage
• Please inspect the unit for damage after
unpacking.
• Do not continue to operate the unit if you
are in any doubt about it working normally,
or if it is damaged in any way - switch o,
withdraw the mains adapter and consult
your dealer.
Location of Unit
• The unit must be placed on a at stable
surface and not subjected to vibrations.
• Do not place the unit on sloped or unstable
surfaces as the unit may fall o or tip over.
• The mains socket must be located near the
unit and should be easily accessible.
Temperature
• Avoid extreme degrees of temperature,
either hot or cold. Place the unit well away
from heat sources such as radiators or gas /
electric res.
• Avoid exposure to direct sunlight and other
sources of heat.
• Attention should be drawn to the use of
apparatus in moderate climates.
Naked Flames
• Never place any type of candle or naked
ame on the top of or near the unit.
Moisture
• To reduce the risk of re, electric shock or
product damage, do not expose this unit
to rain, moisture, dripping or splashing.
No objects lled with liquids, such as
vases, should be placed on the unit. Do
not operate the unit with wet hands, near
water or other liquid.
• If you spill any liquid into the unit, it can
cause serious damage. Switch it o at the
mains immediately. Withdraw the mains
plug and consult your dealer.
Ventilation
• To prevent the risk of electric shock or
re hazard due to overheating, ensure
that curtains and other materials do not
obstruct the ventilation vents.
• A minimum distance of 5cm around the
unit should be maintained to allow for
sucient ventilation.
• Do not install or place this unit in a
bookcase, built-in cabinet or in another
conned space. Ensure the unit is well
ventilated.
Safety
• Always disconnect the unit from the mains
supply before connecting / disconnecting
other devices or moving the unit.
• Unplug the unit from the mains socket
during a lightning storm.
• In the interests of safety and to avoid
unnecessary energy consumption,
never leave the unit switched on while
unattended for long periods of time, e.g.
overnight, while on holiday or while out of
the house. Switch it o and disconnect the
mains plug from the mains socket.
Mains Adapter Cable
• Make sure the unit or unit stand is not
resting on top of the mains adapter cable,
as the weight of the unit may damage the
cable and create a safety hazard.
Mains Adapter
• The mains adapter will continue to
draw electricity from the mains supply
when plugged in the mains socket.
In the interests of safety and to avoid
unnecessary energy consumption, never
leave the adaptor plugged in the mains
socket while unattended for long periods
of time. Disconnect the adapter from the
power supply.
Use only power supplies listed in the
user instructions.
Interference
• Do not place the unit on or near appliances
which may cause electromagnetic
interference. If you do, it may adversely
aect the working of the unit, and cause a
distorted sound.

Earphones
• Listening to loud sounds for
prolonged periods of time may
permanently damage your hearing.
• Before putting on earphones, turn the
volume down then put the earphones on
and slowly increase the volume until you
reach a comfortable listening level.
Built-in Battery Care
• Your product is powered by a built-in
rechargeable battery.
• The battery can be charged and discharged
hundreds of times, but will eventually wear
out.
• Unplug the charger from the electrical plug
and the product when not in use.
• Do not leave a fully charged battery
connected to a charger, since overcharging
may shorten its lifetime.
• If left unused, a fully charged battery will
lose its charge over time.
• Leaving the product in hot or cold places,
such as in a closed car in the summer and
winter conditions, will reduce the capacity
and lifetime of the battery.
• Always try to keep your device in a cool,
moisture-free environment that’s less
than 32°C. A product with a hot or cold
battery may not work temporarily, even
when the battery is fully charged. Battery
performance is particularly limited in
temperatures well below freezing.
• If you plan to store your device for longer
than six months, charge the battery for an
hour every six months to keep it fresh.
• The unit should be fully recharged after
using the device each time. This will keep
the health of the battery.
Batteries
• Batteries used in the unit are easily
swallowed by young children and this is
dangerous.
• Keep loose batteries away from young
children and make sure that the battery
holder tray is secure in the unit. Seek
medical advice if you believe
a cell has been swallowed.
• Please dispose of batteries correctly by
following the guidance in this manual.
• Do not expose the battery to direct
sunlight or sources of excessive heat.
• Attention should be drawn to the
environmental aspects of battery disposal.
Supervision
• Children should be supervised to ensure
that they do not play with the unit.
• Never let anyone especially children push
anything into the holes, slots or any other
openings in the case - this could result in a
fatal electric shock.

laser. Use of controls,
adjustments or
performance of
procedures other than those specied
herein may result in hazardous radiation
exposure.
• Before moving the unit, ensure the disc
tray is empty.
• Always remove the disc when the unit is
not in use.
• Failure to do so will risk severely damaging
the disc and the unit.
• Do not stack devices; heat from other
devices may aect the performance of the
unit.

Service
• To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not
remove screws. The unit does not contain
any user-serviceable parts. Please leave all

Maintenance
• Ensure to unplug the unit from the power
supply before cleaning.
• Do not use any type of abrasive pad or
abrasive cleaning solutions as these may
damage the unit’s surface.

Battery Installation for the Remote Control
The remote control requires a CR2025, 3V Lithium battery.
1. Slide and hold the battery release tab in the
direction of the arrow.
2. Pull out the battery holder and remove the old
battery.
3. Replace with a new one battery.
4. Insert the battery holder back into the remote
control.
Handling the Battery
• Improper or incorrect use of batteries may cause corrosion or battery leakage, which
could cause re, personal injury or damage to property.
• Install the battery correctly by following the polarity (+ and –) indications in the battery
compartment.
• When the battery is exhausted, the remote control will not function.
• Only use the battery type indicated in this manual.
Removing the Insulating Strip from
the Remote Control
Remove the plastic strip from the battery if the
battery is being used for the rst time. It is located
at the bottom back side of the remote control.

How to Swivel the Display
Swivel Mode
This product has a swivel display. The display can swivel
180° clockwise.
Handheld Mode
Swivel the display 180° clockwise and then fold it down with the display facing out.

• Do not dispose of the used battery as domestic waste. Dispose of it in accordance with
the local regulations.
• Small button cell batteries such as the one used in the remote control are easily
swallowed by young children and this is dangerous. Keep loose button cells away from
young children and make sure that the battery holder tray is secure in the remote
control. Seek medical advice if you believe a cell has been swallowed.

• Take care of your ngernails when you press and hold the battery release tab.
• Do not drop or cause impact to the remote control.
• Do not spill water or any liquid on the remote control.
• Do not place the remote control on a wet object.

as it could cause corrosion or battery leakage and may result in physical injury and/or

Power Supply
Mains Power
• This unit operates with a DC 9V 1.0A mains adapter (included).
• Connecting the unit to any other power source may cause damage to the unit. Unwind
the mains adapter to its full length. Connect the mains adapter to the DC IN Socket on
the right side of the unit and then to a mains socket. Make sure the mains adapter is fully
inserted into the mains socket. The unit is now connected and ready to use.
• To switch the unit o completely, withdraw the mains adapter from the mains socket.

Remote Control Operation Range
Point the remote control at the unit no more than 2 metres
from the remote control sensor and within 40° of the front of
the unit. The operating distance may vary depending on the

• Turn o the unit before unplugging the mains adapter from the unit to avoid
damaging the unit.
• When the unit is not going to be used for a long period of time, disconnect the
mains adapter from the mains socket.
• The mains socket must be located near the unit and should be easily
accessible. If a malfunction occurs, disconnect the plug from the mains socket
at once.
• When the mains adapter is plugged in, the unit is not completely disconnected
from the mains power source, even when the unit is turned o.

Charging the Battery
1. Connect the mains adapter (included) to the DC IN socket at the right side of the unit
and then connect the mains adapter to a mains socket.
a) The Battery Charging Indicator ashes to indicate that the battery is charging.
When the battery is charged to full capacity, the Battery Charging Indicator lights
up green.
2. Remove the mains adapter. The battery is now fully charged and the unit is ready to use.

• The battery is partially charged at shipment. We suggest that for rst time use
fully charge the battery. It may take up to 4 hours to fully charge the battery.
• Everytime you see the Low Battery indicator on the screen, you must connect
your mains adapter to the unit and the mains socket. The battery will now start
recharging.
• The battery will charge at a slower rate than normal when the DVD player is in
use.
• It is recommended that the unit is turned o while charging the battery.
Using the Car Power Adapter
The 12V car power adapter (included) allows the unit to be used with vehicles that have a
12V negative ground electrical system.

• Before plugging in this car adapter, please check the output rating of your car
cigarette lighter rst.
• Disconnect the car power adapter when not in use.
• Use the provided 12V car power adapter only. Using other car power adapters
could damage the unit.
• In the interest of trac safety, do not operate this unit or view videos while
driving.
• Make sure the unit is securely fastened to prevent it from falling or ying
through the air in the event of an accident.
• When the inside of the cigarette lighter socket is dirty with ash or dust, the
plug section may become hot due to poor contact. Be sure to clean the
cigarette lighter socket before use.
• After use, disconnect the 12V car power adapter from both the unit and the
cigarette lighter socket.

Connections
Connecting to a TV
If your TV has audio/video inputs, you can connect the unit to your TV with a 3.5mm to RCA
AV Converter (included) and a RCA AV Cable (not included).
Watching a DVD on your TV
1. Turn on the unit.
2. Turn on the TV and follow the instructions included with your TV to switch it to AV
mode.
Connecting to a Multi-channel Audio Receiver
Using Earphones
• Turn down the volume before connecting, and then adjust the level.
• When earphones are connected, no sound will be emitted from the unit’s speaker.

Basic Playback
Ensure that the screen protection lm is removed before use.
Some DVDs are produced in a manner that allows for specic or limited
operation during playback. Therefore, this unit may not respond to all operating
commands. This is not a defect.
This instruction manual explains the basic instructions for operating this unit. Some DVDs
are produced in a manner that allows for specic or limited operation during playback.

Please refer to the instructions accompanying the specic DVD in question for more
information about the options available on that DVD.
“ ” may appear on the screen during operation. “ ” means that the desired operation is not
permitted by the unit or disc.
Turning On the DVD Player
1. Slide the ON/OFF switch to ON position on the side
panel to turn the DVD player on.
2. The LOGIK DVD logo (start-up picture) will appear
on the screen and the unit will start loading the disc
automatically (if available).
3. After use, slide the ON/OFF switch to OFF position on
the side panel to turn the DVD player o.
Region Code
Both the DVD player and the discs are coded by
region. These regional codes must match in order
to play the disc. If the codes do not match, the disc
will not play.
The Region Number for this DVD player is
described at the bottom of the DVD player.

Basic DVD Playback
1. Make sure the unit is either plugged into the
power socket through the mains adapter or the
battery is fully charged.
2. Slide the ON/OFF switch to the ON position.
3. Press the OPEN button to open the disc cover.
4. Hold the disc by its sides and carefully place onto
the disc holder with the label side facing up.
Gently push the disc down until you hear a“click”
sound.
5. Close the disc cover. The unit starts playback if the
disc does not have any menus recorded on it. If
the disc has one or more titles recorded on it, a menu screen will appear on the screen.
6. To play a title, press the button on the unit or press the / 0-9 / 10+ buttons
on the remote control to highlight the title and then press the ENTER button on the unit
or the remote control to conrm.
• The screen saver will automatically activate after 5 minutes of no activity. Press
any button to exit the screen saver.
• If there is no-activity after 20 minutes, the unit will automatically enter standby
mode.
Pausing Playback
1. During playback, press the button on the unit or the remote control to pause
playback.
2. Press the button again on the unit or the remote control to resume normal playback.
Selecting Chapter / Title time / Chapter time (for DVD)
1. During Playback, press the SEARCH button repeatedly on the remote control to display
the disc information text line for Chapter / Title time / Chapter time.
2. Press the 0-9, 10+ buttons to enter valid Chapter / Title time / Chapter time number. The
playback skips to the selected Chapter / Title time / Chapter time.
Selecting Disc GOTO / Track GOTO / Select Track (for CD)
1. During Playback, press the SEARCH button on the remote control to display the disc
information text line for DISC GOTO / TRACK GOTO / SELECT TRACK.
2. Press the 0-9 buttons on the remote control to enter valid Disc time / Track time / Track
number. The playback skips to the selected Disc time / Track time / Select track.
