Sehr geehrter Kunde,
Vielen Dank, dass Sie sich für den Kauf des DEEP BLUE 420 RACE Bootes entschieden haben.
Das DEEP BLUE 420 Race Boot ist ein fertig vormontiertes ARR Rennboot und für den Einsatz in ruhigen, stehenden Gewässern vorgesehen.
Sie benötigen für die Inbetriebnahme lediglich einen LiPo-Akku mit 11.1V (3S) und einem US-Style Anschluss, sowie ein passendes Ladegerät. Bitte lesen Sie
vor der Erstinbetriebnahme die Anleitung sorgfältig durch. Diese enthält Hinweise für den sicheren Betrieb.

LRP electronic thanks you for choosing the LRP DEEP BLUE 420 RACE boat.
The LRP DEEP BLUE 420 Race is a completely pre-assembled ARR racing boat, which is suited for the use in calm and stagnant water.
You will only need a 11.1V (3S) LiPo-battery with US-Style power-connectors and an appropriate charger. Please read this instruction carefully before the first-
time operation. It contains important notes for the safe use of this boat.

SCHNELLSTART QUICK START DÉPART RAPIDE INICIO RÁPIDO
1. Einsetzen der Senderbatterien
Setzen Sie 4xAA Batterien in den Sender ein
2. Laden des Boot-Akkus
Laden Sie einen 11.1V 3S LiPo mit maximalen Abmessungen von
105x34x25 mm mit einem entsprechenden Ladegerät
3. Öffnen der Kabinenhaube
Zum Öffnen der Kabinenhaube drehen Sie den Verschluss bitte 90° nach
links oder rechts.
4. Überprüfen Sie, ob die Anschlusskabel des Servos und des Fahrtenregler
korrekt mit dem Empfänger verbunden sind (1=Servo, 2= ESC)
5. Schalten Sie die Fernsteuerung an
6. Setzen Sie den 11.1V Akku in das Boot ein und verbinden Sie diesen mit
dem Anschlusskabel des Fahrtenreglers
7. Sie sollten nun eine Folge von 3 Pieptönen hören -> Ihre Deep Blue 420
Race ist einsatzbereit
8. Schließen Sie die Kabinenhaube wieder und achten Sie darauf, dass Sie
sauber aufsitzt.
9. Setzen Sie das Boot ins Wasser und fahren Sie.
10. Sobald sich die Akkuladung ihrem Ende neigt, schaltet die Schutzschal-
tung den Motor kurzfristig aus um Ihnen zu signalisieren, das Boot ans
Ufer zurück zu steuern.
ACHTUNG: Bitte bedenken Sie, dass wenn Sie den Gashebel betätigen, sich
die Schiffsschraube auch dann bewegt, wenn das Boot NICHT im Wasser
ist. Achten Sie also unbedingt darauf, sich nicht an der Schiffsschraube zu
verletzen!
Details zu einzelnen Schritten und die genauere Funktion einzelner Kom-
ponenten entnehmen Sie bitte den entsprechenden Abschnitten dieser
Anleitung.
1. Insertion of transmitter batteries
Insert 4xAA batteries into the transmitter
2. Charge the boat-battery
Charge a 11.1V 3S LiPo with the maximum dimensions of 105x34x25 mm
with your appropriate charger.
3. Open the boat cover
To open the boat cover, please tilt the fastener 90° towards left or right.
4. Please check whether the servo- and esc-connection cables are properly
attached to the receiver (1=Servo, 2= ESC)
5. Turn on the transmitter
6. Insert the 11.1V battery into the boat and connect the power-connector to
the speed controller.
7. You should hear a sequence of 3 peep-tones -> Your Deep Blue 420 Race
boat is now ready to go
8. Close the boat’s top cover again and make sure the cover is sitting firmly
in place.
9. Place the boat into the water and drive it.
10. As soon as the battery charge is almost depleted, the cut-off kicks in and
shortly cuts off the motor to give you a signal to return the boat to the
shore.
WARNING: Please keep in mind that when moving the throttle lever the
propeller will also turn if then boat is NOT in the water. Make sure not to touch
the spinning propeller!

1. Insérer les batteries dans la radiocommande.
Placer 4 piles AA dans la radiocommande.
2. Charger la batterie du bateau.
Charger une batterie LiPo de 11.1V 3S avec des dimensions maximales de
105x34x25mm avec votre chargeur approprié.
3. Ouvrir la coque du bateau.
Pour ouvrir, incliner les fermetures de 90° vers la gauche ou la droite.
4. Vérifier que le servo et le variateur sont correctement connectés au récep-
teur (1=Servo, 2= ESC).
5. Allumer la radiocommande.
6. Insérer la batterie de 11.1V dans le bateau et la connecter au variateur.
7. Vous devriez entendre une série de 3 bips->votre Deep Blue 420 Race est
prêt.
8. Refermer la coque et assurez-vous qu’elle est correctement mise en place.
9. Mettre le bateau à l’eau et le piloter.
10. Lorsque la batterie est quasiment déchargée, la coupure LiPo s’enclenche
et coupe brièvement l’alimentation du moteur pour vous signifier qu’il faut
ramener votre bateau vers le rivage.
ATTENTION: Déplacer la gachette fera également tourner l’hélice si le bateau
est hors de l’eau. Attention à ne pas toucher l’hélice lorsqu’elle tourne !
1. Introducción de las baterías de la emisora.
Intruduzca 4 baterías AA en la emisora.
2. Cargue la batería de la lancha.
Cargue una LiPo 11,1V 3S con unas dimensiones máximas de 105x34x25
con un cargador apropiado.
3. Abra la cubierta del barco.
Para abrir la cubierta, gire el cierre 90º dirección derecha o izquierda.
4. Compuebe que los cables de servo y variador están correctamente conec-
tados al receptor (1=Servo, 2= ESC).
5. Encienda la emisora.
6. Introduzca la batería 11,1V en la lancha y conéctela al variador.
7. Debería escuchar una consecución de tres pitidos -> Ahora su Deep Blue
420 está listo para su uso.
8. Cierre la cubierta de nuevo y asegúrese de que la cubierta está correcta-
mente emplazada en la lancha.
9. Coloque la lancha en el agua y empiece a disfrutarla.
10. Tan pronto como la carga de la batería está completamente descargada,
se activa el corte de motor brevemente para indicarle que debe volver a la
orilla con su lancha.
PRECAUCIÓN: Tenga en cuenta que si aprieta el gatillo de aceleración la
hélice girará incluso si NO está en el agua. Asegúrese de no tocar la hélice en
funcionamiento!

EINEN PASSENDEN LIPO-AKKU WÄHLEN CHOSING A SUITABLE LIPO BATTERY
CHOISIR LA BONNE BATTERIE LIPO ELECCIÓN DE UNA BATERÍA LIPO
Um Ihre Deep Blue 420 Race zu betreiben, benötigen Sie einen LiPo-Akku mit
den folgenden Spezifikationen:
- 11.1V Spannung (3S)
- Mindestens 30C
- Ca. 1800 mAh Kapazität
- Maximale Abmessung: 105x35x25 mm
- Ausgestattet mit einem US-Style Anschluss (Gegenstück zum Stecker am
Fahrtenregler)
Bestens geeignet ist der LRP-LiPo mit der Bestellnummer #430450, zu bezie-
hen über Ihren LRP-Fachhändler. Dabei handelt es sich um einen Hochleis-
tungslipo mit US-Style Anschluss.
Als geeignetes Ladegerät empfehlen wir Ihnen den LRP Quadra Competiton
V1 (LRP #41420) oder den LRP Pulsar Touch (LRP #41556).
HINWEIS: Das Boot kann ebenfalls mit einem 7.4V 2S LiPo betrieben werden,
allerdings verringert sich dann die zur Verfügung stehende Leistung und Ge-
schwindigkeit stark. Betreiben Sie das Boot jedoch niemals mit einem 4S LiPo
mit 14.8V (oder höher), da dieses den Fahrtenregler zerstören würde!
To power your Deep Blue 420 Race, you will need a LiPo-battery according to
the following specifications:
- 11.1V voltage (3S)
- Min. 30C
- Around 1800 mAh capacity
- Maximum dimensions: 105x35x25 mm
- Equipped with a US-Style power connector (counterpart of the power
connector on the ESC)
Perfectly suited for the job are the LRP-LiPos with order number #430450,
please contact your local dealer. Those are high-performance lipos with US-
style plug.
To charge your LiPos, we recommend the LRP Quadra Competition V1 (LRP
#41420) or the LRP Pulsar Touch (LRP #41556).
PLEASE NOTE: You can also power you Deep Blue 420 Race with a 7.4V 2S
LiPo, but the boat will not unfold its full performance and speed. However,
NEVER run the boat with a 14.8V 4S or higher LiPo, since this will destroy the
speed controller.
Pour propulser votre Deep Blue 420 Race, vous aurez besoin d’une batterie
LiPo répondant aux specifications suivantes:

Les LiPos LRP correspondant sont les #430450, vous pouvez contacter votre
revendeur local. Ce sont des LiPos haute performance avec un connecteur
type US-style.
Pour charger votre accu, nous recommandons le LRP Quadra Competition V1
(#41420) ou le LRP Pulsar Touch (#41556).
NOTER: Vous pouvez propulser votre Deep Blue 420 Race avec un LiPo 7.4V
2S, mais il ne délivrera pas toute sa puissance et sa vitesse. Cependant, ne
JAMAIS utiliser un accu 14.8V 4S ou plus, cela détruirait le variateur.
Como alimentación para su Deep Blue 420, necesitará una batería LiPo que
cumpla con las siguientes especificaciones:
- Voltaje 11.1V (3S)
- Min. 30C
- Capacidad 1800 mAh aprox

- Equipada con un conector T (en el variador está la otra parte)
Las baterías idóneas para esta lancha son las LiPos de LRP con código
#430450. Son unas LiPos de altas prestaciones y un conector T.
Para cargar tus LiPos recomendamos que utilice el Quadra Competition V1
(LRP #41420) o el Pulsar Touch (LRP #41556).
TENGA EN CUENTA: también puede utilizar si Deep Blue 420 con una LiPo
7,4V 2S, pero la lancha no funcionará al máximo de sus prestaciones. De
todos modos, NUNCA utilice la lancha con una LiPo 14,8V o superior, ya que
esto romperá el variador.

DEN EMPFÄNGER VOR WASSER SCHÜTZEN PROTECTING THE RECEIVER FROM WATER
PROTECTION DU RÉCEPTEUR CONTRE L’EAU PROTEGIENDO EL RECEPTOR DEL AGUA
Unter normalen Umständen wird kaum Wasser in das Innere Ihrer Deep Blue
420 Race dringen können, da die abnehmbare Bootshaube sehr gut gegen
eindringendes Wasser abgedichtet ist.
Der Fahrtenregler Ihres Bootes ist ohnehin wasserdicht.
Sie haben jedoch die Möglichkeit, den Empfänger zusätzlich vor Feuchtigkeit
zu schützen.
Im Zubehörbeutel Ihrer Verpackung finden Sie einen Luftballon, ein Gummi-
band und Kabelbinder.
Damit können Sie den Empfänger in den Luftballon stecken, den Luftballon
verschließen und ihn anschließend wieder am Rumpf befestigen.
Bitte beachten Sie jedoch, dass diese Lösung den Empfänger nicht 100%
wasserdicht macht. Sie schützt ihn jedoch wirkungsvoll gegen Feuchtigkeit
und kleinere Mengen Wasser.
When running your boat under normal conditions, only very little water will
intrude, because the boat cover is sealed very well against water intrusion.
Your speed controller is waterproof anyway.
But you can protect the receiver against humidity by using the included
balloon, rubber band and cable strap.
To do so, put the receiver into the balloon, seal the balloon and attach the
receiver to the ships’ hull again.
Please keep in mind that this solution does not provide 100% protection
against water, but effectively protects the receiver against humidity and
smaller amounts of water.
Lorsque vous pilotez votre bateau dans des conditions normales, très peu
d’eau s’introduira sous la coque, car elle est très étanche. Le variateur est de
toute façon étanche.
Mais vous pouvez protéger le récepteur contre l’humidité en utilisant le ballon,

nouveau dans la coque.
Cela ne procurera pas une protection 100% étanche, mais protègera de
l’humidité et des petites quantités d’eau.
Cuando esté utilizando su lancha en condiciones normales, solo entrará muy
poca agua en la lancha, ya que la cubierta de la lancha está muy bien sellada
contra el agua. Además, el variador de su lancha es estanco.
Puede proteger el receptor contra la humedad utilizando el globo, la goma y
la brida.

- AN/AUS-Schalter:
Damit schalten Sie die Fernsteuerung an und aus
- POWER-LED:
Wenn der Sender angeschaltet und die Batterien ok sind, leuchtet diese
LED rot.
- Lenkrad:
Sie können Ihr Boot mit dem Steuerrad nach rechts und links lenken. Je
weiter Sie das Lenkrad auslenken, desto enger wird das Boot in die Kurve
gehen.
- Gashebel:
Ziehen Sie am Gashebel, um das Boot zu beschleunigen. Je weiter Sie
den Gashebel auslenken, desto stärker gibt das Boot entsprechend Gas.
Bitte beachten Sie, dass die Deep Blue 420 Race NICHT rückwärts
fahren kann!
ACHTUNG: Bitte bedenken Sie, dass wenn Sie den Gashebel betätigen,
sich die Schiffsschraube auch dann bewegt, wenn das Boot NICHT im
Wasser ist. Achten Sie also unbedingt darauf, sich nicht an Schiffsschrau-
be zu verletzen!
- Lenkausschlag (EPA) links und rechts:
Mit diesen zwei Drehknöpfen können Sie den maximalen Servoausschlag
(=Ruderausschlag) nach links und rechts einstellen. Stellt man den
Drehknopf auf maximum, so kann sich das Ruder so weit wie möglich
in die entsprechende Richtung bewegen, was in einer sehr engen Kurve
resultieren kann. Dreht man den Drehknopf wiederum auf minimum, so
limitieren Sie den Ruderausschlag sehr stark und das Boot fährt kann nur
sehr weite Kurven fahren. Achten Sie darauf, den Lenkausschlag nur so
weit Richtung Maximum zu drehen, dass das Lenkrad seinen maximalen
Ausschlag VOR oder gleichzeitig mit dem Ruder-Servo erreicht. Ansonsten
könnte das Ruder-Servo auf Dauer Schaden nehmen.
- Gas-Trimmung:
Indem Sie entweder „F“ (=forward/vorwärts) oder „B“(=backward/
rückwärts) an der Fernsteuerung drücken, stellen Sie die Neutralstellung
des Fahrtenregler entsprechend ein. Sollte der Fahrtenregler Gas geben

für Ihr Empfinden zu früh auf das Gas reagieren, trimmen Sie dies durch
Drücken von „R“. Sollte hingegen das Boot zu spät auf das Gas reagieren,
so kontern Sie dieses Verhalten durch drücken der „F“ Taste.
- Lenkungs-Trimmung:
Sollte Ihre Deep Blue 420 Race trotz Steuerrad in der Neutralposition
nach rechts oder links fahren, so können Sie dieses Verhalten mit den
Trimmknöpfen „L“ (=links) und „R“ (=rechts) entsprechend kontern. Fährt
das Boot ungewollt nach links, so drücken Sie „R“ und umgekehrt.
- Steuerungsumkehr:
Sollte Ihr Boot entgegengesetzt der Auslenkung des Steuerrades lenken,
so können Sie dies korrigieren, indem Sie den Schalter in die andere
Position drücken.
- ON/OFF-switch:
This turns on and off the transmitter
- POWER-LED:
The LED glows red if the transmitter is turned on and the batteries are ok
- Steering wheel:
You can steer your boat to the left and right. The more you deflect the
steering wheel, the tighter the boat will turn.
- Throttle control:
Pull the throttle control to accelerate the boat. The more the lever is
moved, the faster the movement. Please note that the Deep Blue 420
Race is NOT capable of accelerating backwards!
WARNING: Please keep in mind that when moving the throttle lever the
propeller will also turn if then boat is NOT in the water. Make sure not to
touch the spinning propeller!
- Steering travel (EPA) left and right:
With those two knobs the maximum servo travel (=rudder travel) to the
left and right can be adjusted. If adjusted to the maximum, the rudder
may travel as far as possible, resulting in very tight curve steering. If ad-
justed to a minimum, the rudder’s travel is very limited and you will only
be able to steer a very large curve radius. Please adjust those settings
to a steering level you find adequate for your likings. Make sure to turn
the EPA-knob only so far towards the maximum setting, that the steering
wheel reaches its travel end-point BEFORE or at the same time as the
rudder-servo does. Otherwise you may damage the servo over time.
- Throttle trim:
By pressing either “F” (=forward) or “B”(=backward) you adjust the
neutral setting of the esc’s throttle control. If the esc gives throttle wit-
hout the throttle lever being pulled or gives throttle too early for your liking,
trim the throttle using the B-button. If the esc should give throttle too late,
trim the throttle using the F-button.
- Steering trim:
In case your Deep Blue 420 Race does NOT steer straight forwards when
leave the steering wheel to neutral position, you can adjust this behaviour
by countering this movement either with the “R”(right) or “L”(Left) button.
If the boat steers right, counter with the “L” button and vice versa.
- Steering reverse:
In case you should experience a steering behaviour opposite to the
deflection of your steering wheel, you can reverse the steering function by
sliding the switch to the other position.

- Bouton-ON/OFF
Allume et éteint la radiocommande.

Vous pouvez faire tourner votre bateau à gauche et à droite. Plus vous
tournez le volant plus les virages seront sérrés.

Tirer la gâchette pour faire accélérer votre bateau. Plus vous tirez la
gâchette, plus votre bateau ira vite. Attention, le Deep Blue 420 Race
ne peut pas accélérer en marche arrière.
ATTENTION : Si vous actionnez la gachette, l’hélice se mettra à tourner
même hors de l’eau. Ne pas toucher l’hélice !
- Débattement (EPA) gauche et droite:
Avec ces deux boutons la course maximale du servo à gauche et à
droite peut être réglée (=course du gouvernail). Si elle est ajustée au
maximum, votre bateau ferra des virages très sérrés. Au contraire, si elle
est minimale, les courbes seront plus larges. Ajustez ce paramètre à votre
guise. Assurez-vous de régler correctement le bouton d‘EPA, de façon à
ce que la butée du volant soit atteinte avant ou au même moment que
la butée du servo de gouvernail. Dans le cas contraire, vous risqueriez
d‘endommager le servo au fil du temps.
- Trim de gaz:
En pressant soit « F » (=forward/marche avant) soit « B » (=backward/
marche arrière) vous ajustez le neutre de votre variateur. Si votre bateau
avance sans que vous ne touchiez à la gâchette, ou qu’il accélère trop
rapidement pour vous, utilisez le bouton de trim « B ». Si votre bateau
accélère trop tard, utilisez le bouton « F ».
- Trim de direction:
Si votre Deep Blue 420 Race ne va pas droit lorsque vous n’actionnez pas
le volant, corrigez ce comportement en utilisant les boutons « R » (right)
et L (left). Si le bateau va vers la droite, utilisez le bouton « L » et vice
versa.
- Inversion direction:
Si le bateau tourne dans la direction opposée à celle du volant, vous
pouvez inverser le sens de rotation de votre servo en plaçant l’interrupteur
sur l’autre position.

ón la hélice se moverá aunque la lancha NO esté en el agua. Asegúrese de
no tocar la hélice en movimiento.
- Recorrido de la dirección (EPA) a derecha e izquierda:
Con estos dos botones puede ajustar el recorrido máximo del servo
(=recorrido del timón) a derecha e izquierda. Si está ajustado al máximo,
el timón se desplazará al máximo y la lancha hará curvas muy cerradas.
Si está ajustado al mínimo, el recorrido del timón está muy limitado y solo
podrá realizar curvas con un radio muy alto. Ajuste estos valores al nivel
de dirección que crea apropiado a su conducción. Asegúrese de que el
botón de ajuste de punto final solo es girado en dirección al máximo hasta
el punto en el que el volante de dirección alcanza su punto final ANTES o
al mismo tiempo que el timón lo hace. De lo contrario, el servo del timón
podría resultar dañado.
- Trim de aceleración:
Pulsando ya sea „F“ (=forward/adelante) o „B“ (=backward/atrás) en la
emisora, ajusta el neutro del variador. Si el variador proporciona aceler-

volante de dirección esté en posición neutra, puede ajustar este compor-

la lancha gira a la derecha, pulse el botón „L“ y viceversa.
- Inversión Dirección:
En el caso de que note un comportamiento en su dirección contrario al
deseado al mover el volante de dirección, puede invertir la función de

Normalerweise sind Sender und Empfänger ab Werk korrekt aufeinander
abgestimmt und gebunden.
Sie erkennen eine korrekte Bindung daran, dass die Empfänger LED grün
leuchtet und das Boot Gas- und Lenkbefehle Ihrer Fernsteuerung entge-
gennimmt. Sollte dies nicht so sein, so müssen Sie den Empfänger und die
Fernsteuerung erneut binden. Dazu gehen Sie wie folgt vor:
- Schalten Sie den Sender ein
- Schalten Sie den Empfänger ein, indem Sie einen geladenen LiPo anschlie-
ßen
- Drücken Sie den „BIND“ Knopf auf Oberseite des Empfängers.
Die LED des Empfängers sollte von ROT auf GRÜN blinkend wechseln und
schließlich dauerhaft GRÜN leuchten. FERTIG!
The transmitter and the receiver are already bound ex factory. You can check
for a correct binding on the receiver’s LED (which should be green) and you
will notice that the receiver accept throttle and steering commands issued by
your transmitter.
In case this should not be so, you will have to bind the receiver and transmit-
ter again. To do so, please proceed as follows:
- Switch on the transmitter
- Switch on the receiver by connecting a charged LiPo to it
- Press the “BIND” button on the upper side of the receiver
The LED of the receiver should change from RED to GREEN blinking and
finally flash continuously GREEN. DONE!
La radiocommande et le récepteur sont appairés en usine. Vous pouvez

Puede comprobar que están correctamente emparejados consultando el LED
del receptor (el cual debe estar verde) y notará que el receptor recibe indicaci-
ones de aceleración y dirección desde su emisora. En el caso de que esto
no pasara, tendrá que emparejar receptor y emisora de nuevo. Para hacerlo,
proceda de la siguiente manera:
- Encienda la emisora
- Encienda el receptor conectándole una LiPo cargada

Sie darauf, dass Sie nach dem Einsetzen der Schutzschaltung das Boot

In order to protect your battery from deep discharge, your Deep Blue 420
Race is equipped with a LiPo-cut-off. As soon as the battery charge is almost
depleted, the cut-off kicks in and shortly cuts off the motor to give you a
signal to return the boat to the shore. Please make sure to return the boat to
the shore as soon as possible after the cut-off has kicked in.

Turn fins – trim tabs

Beide beeinflussen das Fahrverhalten des Bootes besonders bei hohen Ge-
schwindigkeiten und bei Kurvenfahrten. Während die trim tabs fest montiert
sind, können Sie die turn fins Ihrer Deep Blue 420 im Winkel verstellen. Ab
Werk sind die turn fins im 45° Winkel zur Heckseite des Bootsrumpfes
montiert. Die Werkseinstellungen gewährleisten ein ausgeglichenes und
gut kontrollierbares Fahrverhalten. Sie können jedoch jeder Zeit mit dem
Anstellwinkel der turn fins experimentieren. Je nachdem, wie steil oder flach
Sie den Winkel wählen, ändern sich Kurvenverhalten und das Verhalten bei
hohen Geschwindigkeiten mehr oder minder stark. Experimentieren Sie hier
einfach ein wenig und stellen Sie die turn fins so ein, wie es Ihrem Fahrstil am
ehesten entspricht.
Your Deep Blue 420 Race is equipped with so-called „trim tabs“ as well
as „turn fins“ (see picture). Both take influence on the driving and steering
behaviour of the boat, especially when driving with high speed and when
cornering. While the trim tabs are statically attached, the turn fins can be
changed at their angle. Ex factory, the turn fins are attached with a 45° angle
towards the stern side of the boat hull. Those settings guarantee a balanced
and well controllable driving behaviour. But please feel free to experiment any
time with the turn fins’ angle of approach. Depending on how steep or flat
you choose their angle, cornering and high-speed-behaviour will be influenced
more or less strongly. Just feel free to try out different settings and adjust the
turn fins so they suit your personal preferences best.

WASSERKÜHLUNG WATER COOLING REFROIDISSEMENT À EAU REFRIGERACIÓN POR AGUA
Ihre Deep Blue 420 Race ist mit einem Wasserkühlungs-System für den
Motor und den Fahrtenregler ausgestattet. Die Wasserkühlung saugt Wasser
durch die Öffnung an der Unterseite des Boots an, leitet das Wasser über die
Silikonschläuche durch den Motorhalter und den Fahrtenregler und entlässt
das Wasser durch den Silikonschlauch an der linke Seite des Bootsrumpfes.
Um eine einwandfreie Funktion der Wasserkühlung zu gewährleisten, achten
Sie bitte auf folgendes:
- Überprüfen Sie regelmäßig den Sitz der Silikonschläuche auf ihren Adap-
tern und schieben Sie die Schläuche falls notwendig wieder vollständig
auf die Adapter
- Kontrollieren Sie vor jeder Fahrt, ob die Wassereintritts- und Wasseraus-
trittsöffnung frei sind und das Wasser ungehindert zu- und abfließen kann.
- Überprüfen Sie die Silikonschläuche regelmäßig auf Risse oder Brüche.
Sollte einer der Schläuche nicht mehr dicht sein, ersetzen Sie diesen bitte.
Den passenden Ersatzschlauch (LRP #311047) bekommen Sie bei Ihrem
LRP Händler.
- Achten Sie darauf, dass sie nichts in den Silikonschläuchen festsetzten,
da dies den Wasserfluss und somit die Kühlleistung beeinträchtigen
könnte. Am besten entnehmen Sie die Schläuche gelegentlich und spülen
Sie mit heißem Wasser durch. Sie können zur Reinigung auch einen
weichen Pfeifenreiniger oder ähnliches benutzen, um das Innere der
Schläuche zu reinigen.
Your Deep Blue 420 Race is equipped with a water cooling system for motor
and speed controller. The water cooling sucks in water through the small
hole at the bottom side of the ship hull, lets the water flow through the motor
mount and the esc and releases the water through the silicon tube at the left
side of the ship hull. In order to ensure a correct function of the water cooling,
please pay attention to the following topics:
- Check the silicone tubes for the proper and tight fight on their adapters
regularly and push the tubes back onto their adapters completely if neces-
sary.
- Before every ride, check the water inlet and outlet ports for any kind of
blockage and make sure water can freely pass the inlet and outlet.
- Check the silicone tubes for cracks regularly. In case a tube should not be
leak-proof anymore, please replace it. You will get the appropriate spare
tube (LRP #311047) from your local LRP dealer.
- Please make sure, that nothing deposits inside the tube, as this could
negatively affect the water flow and thus lower the cooling efficiency. To
avoid this, take out the silicone tubes from time to time and rinse them
with clear, hot water. You may also take a soft pipe-cleaner to clean the
inside of the silicone tubes.
Votre Deep Blue 420 Race est équipé d’un système de refroidissement à eau
pour le moteur et le variateur. Le système de refroidissement prélève de l’eau
au niveau du petit trou sous la coque du bateau, et fait passer le flux d’eau
dans le support moteur et le variateur avant de le laissé s’échapper par le tu-

- Assurez-vous que rien n’obstrue l’un des tuyaux, car cela gênerait le pas-
sage du flux d’eau et diminuerai ainsi l’efficacité du refroidissement. Pour
éviter cela, démontez les tuyaux incriminés et rincez les avec de l’eau
chaude. Vous pouvez également vous servir d’une brosse à tuyaux flexible
pour nettoyer l’intérieur des tubes de silicone.
Su Deep Blue 420 está equipada con un sistema de refrigeración para vari-
ador y motor. La refrigeración por agua succiona agua a través del pequeño
agujero situado en la parte inferior del casco de la lancha, ésta pasa a través
de la bancada del motor y el variador y expulsa el agua a través del tubo de
silicona por el lado izquierdo del casco de la lancha. Para que la refrigeración
con agua funcione correctamente, tenga en cuenta los puntos siguientes:
- Compruebe con regularidad los tubos de silicona y su correcta posición y
en caso necesario colóquelos de nuevo correctamente en sus adaptado-
res.
- Compruebe las entradas y salidas de agua antes de cada uso para evitar
cualquier bloqueo en éstas y asegurarse de que el agua puede circular sin

- Asegúrese de que no hay nada dentro del tubo, ya que podría afectar
negativamente a la circulación de agua y por lo tanto a la refrigeración de
la lancha. Para evitar esto, retire cada cierto tiempo los tubos de silicona

Dabei gehen Sie wie folgt vor:

halterung (siehe Bild) sollte
ebenfall regelmäßig gefettet oder
geölt werden, um es sowohl vor
Feuchtigkeit als auch Verschleiß
zu schützen.
In order to retain the fun and functionality of your Deep Blue 420 Race for as
long as possible, you should check and maintain certain parts of your boat on
a regular basis.
- The flexible drive shaft should be lubricated regularly to protect it from
corrosion and to prevent water intrusion. To grease the drive shaft, please
do as follows:
Remove the two rear 2 mm hex screws with the provided allen key
Pull the flexible drive shaft out of the stern tube form behind.
Lubricate the shaft thoroughly
Push the shaft back through the stern tube and secure it tightly with the
two hex screws.
- The ball bearing in the motor mount (see picture) should also be lubricated
regularly in order to protect it from corrosion and wear.
Pour maintenir votre Deep Blue 420 Race en état le plus longtemps possible,
vous devez vérifier et entretenir certaines pièces de votre bateau régulière-
ment.
- Le cardan flexible doit être lubrifié régulièrement pour le protéger de la

Pousser le cardan dans le tube d’étambot et le serrer avec les deux vis
hexagonales.
- Le roulement à bille dans le support moteur (voir photo) doit aussi être
lubrifié régulièrement pour le protéger de la corrosion et de l’usure.

nuevo con los dos tornillos allen.
- El rodamiento en la bancada del motor (consulte la fotografía) también

Nachdem Sie mit Ihrer Deep Blue 420 Race auf dem Wasser waren und fertig
sind mit Fahren sollten Sie ein paar Dinge beachten:
- Nehmen Sie die Hülle ab und ziehen Sie den Akku vom Fahrtenregler ab.
So verhindern Sie, dass das Boot auf „AN“ bleibt und sich der Akku tief
entlädt und somit beschädigt wird.
- Lassen Sie die die obere Hülle eine Weile vom Boot unten, sodass das
Innere des Bootes vollständig trocknen kann.
After you have finished your boat trip you should keep the following things in
mind:
- Take off the cover of your boat and disconnect the battery from the speed
controller. Only by doing so will you prevent the boat from staying “ON”
and deep discharging (thus damaging) the LiPo battery.
- Leave the cover of your boat off for some time in order to let the interior of
the boat completely dry.
Après avoir navigué, faîtes attention aux points suivants:

Después de terminar de utilizar su Deep Blue 420 y ya fuera del agua,
tenga en cuenta los puntos siguientes:

LiPo se descargue en exceso (pudiendo averiarla irremediablemente).

- Die Deep Blue 420 Race erreicht mit einem 3S LiPo etwa 45km/h+. Sollte
Ihnen diese Geschwindigkeit zu schnell sein und Sie noch üben wollen, so
können Sie anstelle des 3S LiPos einfach einen mit 7.4V (2S) einsetzen.
Die Geschwindigkeit verringert sich dadurch auf etwa 30 km/h und die
Beschleunigung des Bootes bleibt ebenfalls kontrollierbarer.
- WICHTIG! Achten Sie stets darauf, dass sich die Schiffsschraube bei fahr-
bereitem Boot auch außerhalb des Wassers drehen kann und vermeiden
Sie Verletzungen.
- Fahren Sie das Boot nicht zu weit vom Ufer weg. Bleiben Sie innerhalb
von ca. 100 m vom Ufer entfernt. Sollte das Boot die Verbindung zum
Sender verlieren, kann es möglicherweise weggetrieben werden und geht
Ihnen verloren.
- Öffnen Sie nach dem Fahren stets die Haube des Bootes und lassen Sie es
gut trocknen um zu vermeiden, dass sich Rost oder Schimmel im Inneren
des Bootes absetzen kann.
- Fahren Sie das Boot nur in Gewässern, in den Ihnen die Nutzung von Mo-
dellbooten gestattet ist und beachten Sie die gesetzlichen Bestimmungen.
- Fahren Sie keinesfalls in Gewässern während andere Menschen darin
schwimmen oder baden
- Fahren Sie umsichtig mit dem Boot und nehmen Sie Rücksicht auf an den
Gewässern lebende Tiere, wie z. B. Enten.
- With a 3S LiPo-battery equipped, the Deep Blue 420 Race reaches a top-
speed of approx. 45km/h+. In case this speed should be too fast for your
likings and you still want to practice, you can use a 7.4V (2S) LiPo-battery
instead. By doing so the top-speed is reduced to approx. 30 km/h and the
acceleration of the boat will also be more controllable.
- IMPORTANT! Please keep in mind that the propeller may spin on the
ready-to-drive boat even if the boat is outside the water. Avoid any
injuries.
- Do not steer the boat too far away from the shore. In case the boat is
loosing connection from the transmitter, it can drift away and become
lost. Therefore, stay within a range of approx. 100 m from the shore.
- After your boat trip, always open the cover of your boat and let it dry in
order to avoid oxidation.
- Only drive your boat in waters in which the usage of model boats is legal
and follow all legal regulations
- Don’t drive your boat while other people are swimming nearby.
- Drive thoughtful with your boat and take care of any animals living near
the waterside, like ducks for example
- Avec une batterie LiPo 3S, le Deep Blue 420 Race atteint une vitesse
maximale de 45km/h+. Si cette vitesse est trop importante pour vous,
vous pouvez utiliser une batterie 7.4V 2S. La vitesse maximale sera alors
réduite à 30 km/h, et les accélérations du bateau seront mieux contrôla-
bles.
- IMPORTANT! Garder à l’esprit que l’hélice du bateau peut tourner même
lorsqu’il se trouve hors de l’eau. Evitez toutes blessures.
- Ne pas piloter le bateau trop loin du rivage, si le signal de la radiocomman-
de est perdu le bateau peut être perdu. Restez dans un rayon d’environ
50m du rivage.
- Après avoir navigué, toujours ouvrir la coque pour laisser sécher l’intérieur
et éviter l’oxydation.
- Piloter votre bateau uniquement dans les plans d’eau ou cela est autorisé
et se conformer aux règles locales.
- Ne pas utiliser votre bateau lorsque des personnes sont en train de se
baigner ou de nager à proximité.
- Piloter intelligemment votre bateau et faîtes attention à tous les animaux
vivant dans l’eau, comme les canards par exemple.

de aprox. 45km/h+. En el caso de que velocidad sea demasiado para su
gusto y todavía quiera practicar con su lancha, en su lugar puede utilizar
una batería LiPo de 7.4V (2S). Haciendo esto la máxima velocidad queda
reducida a aprox. 30 km/h y la aceleración de la lancha será mucho más
controlable.
- IMPORTANTE! Tenga en cuenta que la hélice puede ponerse en funciona-
miento en la lancha incluso si está fuera del agua. Evite cualquier daño o
lesión.
- No conduzca la lancha a una distancia demasiado alejada de la orilla. En
el caso de que la lancha pierda conexión con la emisora, podría andar a la
deriva y perderla. Es por eso que recomendamos que se mantenga en un
radio de 50 metros desde su posición en la orilla.
- Después de utilizar su lancha, abra la cubierta de su lancha y séquela para
evitar la oxidación de los componentes.
- Solo utilice su lancha en aguas en las que el uso de lanchas rc sea legal y
cumpla con todas las normativas
- Nunca utilice su lancha cerca de personas que estén bañándose.
- Conduzca con precaución y tenga especial cuidado con animales que
vivan cerca de la orilla, como los patos por ejemplo.

ALLGEMEINE GEWÄHRLEISTUNGS- UND REPARATURBESTIMMUNGEN
REPAIR PROCEDURES / LIMITED WARRANTY
Produkte der LRP electronic GmbH (nachfolgend „LRP” genannt) werden nach strengsten
Qualitätskriterien gefertigt. Wir gewähren die gesetzliche Gewährleistung auf Produk-
tions- und Materialfehler, die zum Zeitpunkt der Auslieferung des Produkts vorhanden
waren. Für gebrauchstypische Verschleißerscheinungen wird nicht gehaftet. Diese
Gewährleistung gilt nicht für Mängel, die auf eine unsachgemäße Benutzung, mangelnde
Wartung, Fremdeingriff oder mechanische Beschädigung zurückzuführen sind. Dies gilt
insbesondere bei bereits benutzten Akkus oder Akkus, die deutliche Gebrauchsspuren
aufweisen. Schäden oder Leistungseinbußen aufgrund von Fehlbehandlung und/oder
Überlastung sind kein Produktfehler. Abnutzungserscheinungen (Kapazitätsverlust) bei
intensivem Einsatz sind ebenfalls kein Produktfehler. Desweiteren beinhaltet dies folgende
Punkte:
- Unfallschäden
- Ausfall oder übermäßige Abnutzung einzelner Teile als Folge eines Unfallschadens
- Wasserschäden oder Probleme aufgrund von eingedrungenem Wasser/Feuchtigkeit
- Lackierte Kabinenhauben, sobald diese benutzt worden sind
LRP tauscht keine kompletten Produkte, wenn diese bereits benutzt wurden. Senden Sie
nicht das komplette Produkt ein, sondern nur die Teile, für die Sie einen Gewährleistungs-
anspruch geltend machen wollen. Wird das komplette Produkt eingesendet behält sich
LRP vor, die Arbeitszeit zur Demontage und Montage dem Kunden in Rechnung zu stellen.
Bevor Sie dieses Produkt zur Reparatur einsenden, prüfen Sie bitte zunächst alle anderen
Komponenten in ihrem Modell und schauen Sie ggf. in der Fehlerfibel des Produktes (so-
fern vorhanden) nach, um andere Störquellen und Bedienfehler auszuschließen. Sollte das
Produkt bei der Überprüfung durch unsere Serviceabteilung keine Fehlfunktion aufweisen,
müssen wir Ihnen hierfür die angefallenen Bearbeitungskosten laut Preisliste berechnen.
Mit der Einsendung des Produktes muss der Kunde mitteilen, ob das Produkt in jedem
Fall repariert werden soll. Sollte kein Gewährleistungs- oder Garantieanspruch bestehen,
erfolgt die Produktüberprüfung und ggf. Reparatur in jedem Falle kostenpflichtig gemäß
unserer Preisliste. Ein Gewährleistungs- oder Garantieanspruch kann nur anerkannt wer-
den, sofern eine Kopie des Kaufbelegs beigefügt ist. Auf Ihre ausdrückliche Anforderung
erstellen wir einen kostenpflichtigen Kostenvoranschlag. Wenn Sie nach Zusendung des
Kostenvoranschlags den Auftrag zur Reparatur erteilen, entfallen die Kostenvoranschlags-
kosten. An unseren Kostenvoranschlag sind wir zwei Wochen ab Ausstellungsdatum ge-
bunden. Für eine schnelle Abwicklung Ihres Servicefalls legen Sie bitte eine ausführliche
Fehlerbeschreibung und ihre Adressdaten der Einsendung bei.
Falls ein zurückgesandtes, defektes Produkt von LRP nicht mehr produziert wird, und wir
dieses nicht reparieren können, so erhalten Sie statt dessen ein mindestens gleichwer-
tiges Produkt aus einer der Nachfolgeserien.
Die von LRP angegebenen Werte über Gewicht, Größe oder Sonstiges sind als Richtwert
zu verstehen. LRP übernimmt keine formelle Verpflichtung für derartige spezifische
Angaben, da sich durch technische Veränderungen, die im Interesse des Produkts vorge-
nommen werden, andere Werte ergeben können.

All products from LRP electronic GmbH (hereinafter called ”LRP“) are manufactured
according to the highest quality standards. LRP guarantees this product to be free from
defects in materials or workmanship for 90 days (non-european countries only) from the
original date of purchase verified by sales receipt. This limited warranty doesn´t cover
defects, which are a result of misuse, improper maintenance, outside interference or
mechanical damage. This especially applies on already used batteries or batteries, which
show signs of heavy usage. Damages or output losses due to improper handling and/or
overload are not a product fault. Signs of wear (loss of capacity) after intensive usage are
also no product fault. Furthermore this includes the following points:
- Crash damage
- Component failure or premature wear as a result of crash damage
- Water damage or problems resulting from water/moisture intake
- Painted canopies, after they have been used
LRP does not do a warranty change of the whole product, once the product has been
used. Do not send in the whole product. Only send in the defective parts, on which you
want to claim warranty. If the whole product is send in, LRP will charge a service fee for
the Disassembly and Assembly of the product at our discretion.
To eliminate all other possibilities or improper handling, first check all other components
in your model and the trouble shooting guide, if available, before you send in this product
for repair. If products are sent in for repair, which do operate perfectly, we have to charge
a service fee according to our pricelist.
With sending in this product, the customer has to advise LRP if the product should be
repaired in either case. If there is neither a warranty nor guarantee claim, the inspection
of the product and the repairs, if necessary, in either case will be charged with a fee at
the customers expense according to our price list. A proof of purchase including date of
purchase needs to be included. Otherwise, no warranty can be granted. For quick repair-
and return service, add your address and detailed description of the malfunction.
If LRP no longer manufactures a returned defective product and we are unable to service
it, we shall provide you with a product that has at least the same value from one of the
successor series.
The specifications like weight, size and others should be seen as guide values. Due to
ongoing technical improvements, which are done in the interest of the product, LRP does
not take any responsibility for the accuracy of these specs.
