it. 2. Check the tail cap. Make sure it is fully tightened The metal surfaces contacting the
barrel, tail cap and spring assembly should be shiny metal without obstruction between
them. Any corrosion formed by a foreign substance should be carefully removed. 3. If all of

INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE:
Battery Pack – See Warnin s Section for more
information. Periodically (approximately every month) remove the battery pack
from the flashli ht and visually inspect for si ns of as or chemical leaka e.
Indications of leaka e are discoloration of the plastic sleeve or white fuzzy material
near the top (positive side button) of each cell. Another indication would be a
bul in deformation of the bottom (ne ative flat end) of the cell can. If these si ns
are observed the battery pack should be removed from service to prevent
chemical dama e to the inside of the flashli ht. See One Year Battery Pack
Warranty for more information concerning warranty coverage.
Fully Charged Battery Storage– If you do not use your flashli ht for lon periods of
time (four months or more) we su est you remove the battery pack from the
flashli ht to prevent chemical dama e (acid leaks). Electrical Contacts – The bare
(bri ht) metal surfaces between the tailcap and barrel must be cleaned periodically
to ensure a ood electrical contact. Also keep the tailcap sprin clean. O-ring Seals
and Screw Threads – To keep seals from dryin out and the threads operatin
smoothly, apply several drops of clean petroleum oil or jelly to these surfaces two
or three times a year. Anodized Exterior Finish – The protective finish on the flashli ht
is very durable; however, constant exposure to sunli ht, water, chemicals, ases,
etc., will dull, discolor and eventually destroy the protective finish. Care should be
taken to avoid any harsh environment.
