The following steps will guide you through the
MagnePrint® demonstration connecting to the
MagneScore™ Scoring Module and accessing the
MagneSafe™ website.
To get started you will need the following items:
1. USB MagnePrint® Reader (P/N 21073006)
2. Log on card (P/N 96550094)
3. Authentic card (P/N 96550095)
4. Authentic card copy (P/N 96550097)

Open an internet browser and type in the following URL
in the address bar: www.magnesafe.com.
1. Connections
2. Web Site
Connect the USB MagnePrint® reader
to the USB port of the PC. The LED on
the card reader will turn a steady
green, 2 seconds after connection.
This indicates that the reader is
powered and ready to use.

To Log-On to the MagneSafe™ site you will need a Log-On
card and a password. This Log-On process is called
two-factor authentication method.
Note: These instructions use the HID reader to illustrate the functions of the MagneSafe™
site since the HID is the most common choice.
3. Log-On
Click on the MagnePrint® reader type
you have connected to your PC to begin
the process.
Click on Login at
the MagneSafe™
home page.

4. Log-On
We have provided a Log-On card with a password of 12345.
The MagnePrint® of this card has been pre-registered in
the database of the MagneSafe™ site.
First enter the password and then swipe the Log-On card through your
reader with the magnetic stripe toward the MagTek® logo on the reader.

5. Download OCX
You will then be prompted to download the HID OCX to activate the HID
MagnePrint® reader.
Click “Yes” to download and install the OCX, which will take up to 30 seconds to
load depending on your connection speed.
When finished, the Log-On page will re-appear.
Downloading the OCX is a one-time process, and if you have already downloaded
the OCX in the past, please bypass this step.

The Authentic Card Copy has the exact same information
encoded on its magnetic stripe as the Authentic version.
However, since the MagnePrint® is different, it is
identified as a fraudulent card.
