Intended use
The heated jacket or vest is intended for warming up
the body in cold environments.
SAFETY WARNINGS
WARNING: Read all safety warnings and all
instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and instruc-
tionsmayresultinelectricshock,reand/orseriousinjury.
Save all warnings and instruc-
tions for future reference.
The term "jacket" in the warnings and precautions refers
to the jacket or vest.
General safety warnings
• Children, handicapped persons, or anyone
who are insensitive to heat, for example a per-
son with poor blood circulation, shall refrain
from using the jacket.
•
Do not use the jacket other than its intended use.
• Never use the jacket when inside of it is wet.
• Do not wear the jacket with bare skin.
•
If you sense anything unusual, switch off the
jacket and remove the battery holder immediately.
• Do not let the power cable be pinched.
Damaged cable may cause electric shock.
• If any abnormality is found, contact your local
service center for repair.
• Do not use pins or like. The electric wiring
inside may be damaged.
• Keep maintenance labels and nameplate. If
they become unreadable or missing, contact
our authorized service center for repair.
•
Choose appropriate temperature settings in accor-
dance with the usage environment for continuous use.
• The battery cartridge, battery holder and con-
nectors must not be allowed to get wet during
washing and drying.
• The appliance is not to be used by young chil-
dren unless the controls have been pre-set by
a parent or guardian, or unless the child has
been adequately instructed on how to operate
the controls safely.
• Be careful not to touch the same part of the
skin with the heating section for a long time. If
the heating section touches the same part of the
skin for a long time, there is a possibility of low
temperature burns even at a relatively low tem-
perature (40 to 60 °C).
• Stop using the jacket when you feel it is hot.
• Never use the jacket while you are sleeping.
•
In order to avoid the possibility of heatstroke,
disconnect the clothing when moving to an envi-
ronment having signicantly higher temperature.
• Check carefully on the marking in the inter-
nal part of the cloth. Do not insert pins on the
cloth from external or internal parts.
•
Remove the batteries from the jacket before charging.
• Remove exhausted batteries from the jacket
and dispose of them safely.
• Before storing the jacket for a long period,
remove the batteries.
• Do not short-circuit the supply terminals.
Washing
• When washing the jacket, follow the instruc-
tions in the caution tag on the jacket.
•
Before cleaning the jacket, remove the battery holder
and the battery cartridge and then place the power
cable in the battery pocket and close the fastener.
Work area safety
• Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or
dark areas increase accident risk.
Electrical safety
• Do not expose the jacket to rain or wet condi-
tions. Water entering the jacket may increase the
risk of electric shock.
• Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord
for carrying, pulling or unplugging the jacket.
Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges.
• Do not connect power source to USB port.
Otherwisethereisriskofre.TheUSBportisonly
intended for charging lower voltage device.
• Always place the cover onto the USB port
when not charging the lower voltage device.
• Do not insert a nail, wire, etc. into USB power
supply port. Otherwise a circuit short may cause
smokeandre.
• Do not handle the cord and battery with wet or
greasy hand.
•
Never use the jacket when the cord or plug is damaged.
• Always use the battery holder specied by Makita.
• Do not leave any cord disconnected while the
battery power is supplied. Young children may
put the live plug in their mouth and cause injury.
• Do not connect the plug of the battery holder
to appliances other than the jacket specied
by Makita.

Personal safety
•
Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common
sense when using the jacket. Do not use the jacket
while you are tired or under the inuence of drugs,
alcohol or medication. A moment of inattention while
using the jacket may result in serious personal injury.
Jacket use and care
•
Do not use the jacket if the switch does not turn
it on and off. Any jacket that cannot be controlled
with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
• Maintain the jacket. Check for breakage of
parts and any other condition that may affect
the jacket’s operation. If damaged, have the
jacket repaired before use.
• Use the jacket in accordance with these
instructions, taking into account the working
conditions and the work to be performed. Use
of the jacket for operations different from those
intended could result in a hazardous situation.
• If the fuse link has ruptured, return the jacket
to our authorized service center for repair.
Battery tool use and care
1. Recharge only with the charger specied by
the manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for
onetypeofbatterypackmaycreateariskofre
when used with another battery pack.
2. Use power tools only with specically desig-
nated battery packs. Use of any other battery
packsmaycreateariskofinjuryandre.
3. When battery pack is not in use, keep it away
from other metal objects, like paper clips,
coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metal
objects, that can make a connection from one
terminal to another. Shorting the battery termi-
nalstogethermaycauseburnsorare.
4.
Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected
from the battery; avoid contact. If contact acci-
dentally occurs, ush with water. If liquid con-
tacts eyes, additionally seek medical help. Liquid
ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns.
5. Do not use a battery pack or tool that is dam-
aged or modied.Damagedormodiedbatteries
may exhibit unpredictable behaviour resulting in
re,explosionorriskofinjury.
6. Do not expose a battery pack or tool to re or
excessive temperature.Exposuretoreortem-
perature above 130 °C may cause explosion.
7.
Follow all charging instructions and do not charge
the battery pack or tool outside the temperature
range specied in the instructions. Charging improp-
erlyorattemperaturesoutsidethespeciedrangemay
damagethebatteryandincreasetheriskofre.
Important safety instructions for
battery cartridge
1. Before using battery cartridge, read all instruc-
tions and cautionary markings on (1) battery char-
ger, (2) battery, and (3) product using battery.
2. Do not disassemble battery cartridge.
3. If operating time has become excessively
shorter, stop operating immediately. It may
result in a risk of overheating, possible burns
and even an explosion.
4.
If electrolyte gets into your eyes, rinse them out
with clear water and seek medical attention right
away. It may result in loss of your eyesight.
5. Do not short the battery cartridge:
(1) Do not touch the terminals with any con-
ductive material.
(2) Avoid storing battery cartridge in a con-
tainer with other metal objects such as
nails, coins, etc.
(3) Do not expose battery cartridge to water
or rain.
A battery short can cause a large current
ow, overheating, possible burns and even a
breakdown.
6. Do not store the tool and battery cartridge in
locations where the temperature may reach or
exceed 50 °C (122 °F).
7. Do not incinerate the battery cartridge even if
it is severely damaged or is completely worn
out. The battery cartridge can explode in a re.
8. Be careful not to drop or strike battery.
9. Do not use a damaged battery.
10. The contained lithium-ion batteries are subject
to the Dangerous Goods Legislation require-
ments.
For commercial transports e.g. by third parties,
forwarding agents, special requirement on pack-
aging and labeling must be observed.
For preparation of the item being shipped, consult-
ing an expert for hazardous material is required.
Please also observe possibly more detailed
national regulations.
Tape or mask off open contacts and pack up the
battery in such a manner that it cannot move
around in the packaging.
11. Follow your local regulations relating to dis-
posal of battery.
12. Use the batteries only with the products
specied by Makita. Installing the batteries to
non-compliantproductsmayresultinare,exces-
sive heat, explosion, or leak of electrolyte.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS.
CAUTION: Only use genuine Makita batteries.
Use of non-genuine Makita batteries, or batteries that
have been altered, may result in the battery bursting
causingres,personalinjuryanddamage.Itwill
also void the Makita warranty for the Makita tool and
charger.
Tips for maintaining maximum
battery life
1. Charge the battery cartridge before completely
discharged. Always stop tool operation and
charge the battery cartridge when you notice
less tool power.
2.
Never recharge a fully charged battery cartridge.
Overcharging shortens the battery service life.
3. Charge the battery cartridge with room tempera-
ture at 10 °C - 40 °C (50 °F - 104 °F). Let a hot bat-
tery cartridge cool down before charging it.
4. Charge the battery cartridge if you do not use
it for a long period (more than six months).

INSTALLATION
Installing or removing the battery
cartridge
CAUTION: Always switch off the device
before installing or removing the battery
cartridge.
CAUTION: Hold the battery holder and the
battery cartridge rmly when installing or remov-
ing the battery cartridge. Failure to hold the battery
holderandthebatterycartridgermlymaycause
them to slip out of your hands and result in damage
to the battery holder and battery cartridge and/or a
personal injury.

To install the battery cartridge, align the tongue on the
battery cartridge with the groove in the housing and slip
it into place. Insert the battery cartridge all the way until
it locks in place with a small click. If you can see the red
indicator on the upper side of the button, it is not locked
completely.
To remove the battery cartridge, slide it from the battery
holder while pressing the button on the front of the
cartridge.
CAUTION: Always install the battery car-
tridge fully until the red indicator cannot be seen.
Otherwise the battery cartridge may accidentally
fall out of the battery holder, causing injury to you or
someone around you.
CAUTION: Do not forcibly install the battery
cartridge. If the battery cartridge does not slide in
easily, it is not being inserted correctly.
Battery pocket
The battery holder (with battery cartridge) can be stored
in the battery pocket. Connect the power cable jack
pulled out of the battery pocket to the battery holder
plug. Then put the battery holder into the battery pocket
and fasten the fastener.

The belt hook on the battery holder can be detached by
removing the screws.

Attaching the battery holder
You can hang the battery holder on your waist belt.
To prevent the battery holder from dropping acciden-
tally, attach a strap using the strap hole and secure it.
1. Pull the power cable out of the upper hole in the
battery pocket and feed the jack through the lower hole
in the battery pocket and pull it through to the inside of
the jacket or vest.

2. Attach the belt hook of the battery holder to your
waist belt, and connect the jack to the battery holder
plug.

The battery holder has an anti-drop function. When
removing the battery holder from the belt, pull up the
battery holder while pressing the unlock button.

FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION
Power button
To turn on the jacket or vest, press and hold the power
button (about 1.5 seconds). To turn off, press and hold
the power button again.
Temperature adjustment
There are three temperature settings (high, medium,
low). When you switch on the jacket or vest, the tem-
perature is set to “high”. Each time you press the power
button, the temperature setting changes as shown in
thegure.Thecolorofthepowerbuttonshowsthe
current setting.

Indicating the remaining battery
capacity
Only for battery cartridges with the indicator

Press the check button on the battery cartridge to indi-
cate the remaining battery capacity. The indicator lamps
light up for a few seconds.

NOTE: Depending on the conditions of use and the
ambient temperature, the indication may differ slightly
from the actual capacity.
Battery protection system
The device is equipped with a battery protection sys-
tem. This system automatically cuts off power to the
heating parts to extend battery life. If the remaining
battery capacity is too low, the device will not operate.
When you turn the device on, the power is supplied to
the heating parts again, but stops soon. In this situation,
remove and recharge the battery cartridge.
Connecting USB devices
CAUTION: Connect only devices that are
compatible with the USB power supply port. Not
doing so may cause a malfunction of the battery
holder.
NOTICE: Before connecting a USB device to
the battery holder (with the battery), always back
up the data on the USB device. Not doing so may
cause a loss of your data.
The battery holder (with the battery cartridge) can work
as an external power supply for USB devices.
Open the cover and connect a USB cable (not included)
to the power supply port of the battery holder. Then con-
nect the other end of the cable to the device and turn on
the switch next to the USB port.
The battery holder (with the battery cartridge) supplies
DC 5 V, 2.4 A (maximum).

The USB cable can be placed inside the jacket or vest
for convenience using the hole in the pocket and the
cable holder.

NOTE: The battery holder may not supply power to
some USB devices.
NOTE: When not in use or after charging, remove the
USB cable and close the cover.
NOTE: Battery power is consumed while the switch is
turned on. Always turn off the switch when not in use.
NOTE: When charging multiple USB devices in suc-
cession, wait about 10 seconds after charging of the
previous device has completed before beginning to
charge the next device.
MAINTENANCE
CAUTION: Always be sure that the jacket is
switched off and the battery cartridge is removed
before attempting to perform inspections or
maintenance.
CAUTION: If the jacket does not switch on
or any fault is found with a fully charged battery
cartridge, clean the terminals of the battery holder
and the battery cartridge. If the jacket still does
not work properly, stop using the jacket and con-
tact our authorized service center.
NOTICE: Never use gasoline, benzine, thinner,
alcohol or the like. Discoloration, deformation or
cracks may result.
To maintain product SAFETY and RELIABILITY,
repairs, any other maintenance or adjustment should
be performed by Makita Authorized or Factory Service
Centers, always using Makita replacement parts.

Cleaning the jacket or vest
For all models

weakened by washing.
• Machinewashingentlecycle(Thenumberof
times for washing is up to 25 times.)
• Thenumberoftimesforwashingisnottheonly
the factor to decide the lifetime of the jacket.
• Thelifeofthejacketchangesbyhowtouse,how
to care and store state.
• Ifthelightreectorpartsorclotheshavebeen
deteriorated, replace to a new jacket.

Belangrijke veiligheidsinstructies
• Wanneer het product niet in gebruik is, bergt u het als volgt op:
— Laat het afkoelen voordat u het opvouwt.
— Vouw het product niet scherp door er tijdens bewaring voor-
werpen op te plaatsen.
• Onderzoek het product veelvuldig op tekenen van slijtage of
beschadiging. Als er dergelijke tekenen zijn of als het product
verkeerd is gebruikt, brengt u het terug naar de leverancier zon-
der verder te gebruiken.
• Het product is niet bedoeld voor medisch gebruik in
ziekenhuizen.
• Het product mag niet worden gebruikt door personen die onge-
voelig zijn voor warmte en andere zeer kwetsbare personen die
niet in staat zijn te reageren op te hoge temperaturen.
• Kinderen jonger dan drie jaar mogen het product niet gebruiken
vanwege hun onvermogen te reageren op te hoge temperaturen.
• Het product mag niet worden gebruikt door jonge kinderen
ouder dan drie jaar, behalve indien de bedieningselementen
vooraf zijn ingesteld door een ouder of voogd, of indien het kind
afdoende instructies heeft gehad over het veilig gebruiken van
de bedieningselementen.
• De schakelaar of de bedieningseenheid mogen niet nat worden
tijdens wassen en tijdens het drogen moet het snoer zodanig
geplaatst worden dat geen water in de schakelaar of de bedie-
ningseenheid kan stromen.
• Voor gebruikers in Europa: Het product kan worden gebruikt
door kinderen van 8 jaar en ouder en door personen met een
verminderd lichamelijk, zintuiglijk of geestelijk vermogen, of
gebrek aan kennis en ervaring mits zij onder toezicht staan of
instructies hebben gehad over het veilig gebruiken van het pro-
duct en de gevaren ervan kennen. Kinderen mogen niet met het
product spelen. Reinigen en onderhoud door de gebruiker mag
niet worden uitgevoerd door kinderen zonder toezicht.

Geef elektrisch gereedschap en accu’s niet
met het huisvuil mee! Volgens de Europese
richtlijn inzake oude elektrische en elektro-
nische apparaten, en inzake batterijen en
accu’s en oude batterijen en accu’s, en de
toepassing daarvan binnen de nationale
wetgeving, dienen elektrisch gereedschap,
accu(’s) en batterijen die het einde van hun
levensduur hebben bereikt, gescheiden
te worden ingezameld en te worden afge-
voerd naar een recyclebedrijf dat voldoet
aan de geldende milieu-eisen.
Gebruiksdoeleinden
De verwarmde jas of bodywarmer is bedoeld om het
lichaam op te warmen in een koude omgeving.
VEILIGHEIDSWAAR-
SCHUWINGEN
WAARSCHUWING: Lees alle veiligheids-
waarschuwingen en alle instructies. Het niet vol-
gen van de waarschuwingen en instructies kan leiden
tot elektrische schokken, brand en/of ernstig letsel.
Bewaar alle waarschuwingen en
instructies om in de toekomst te
kunnen raadplegen.
De term “jas” in de waarschuwingen en voorzorgsmaat-
regelen verwijst naar zowel de jas als de bodywarmer.
Algemene veiligheidswaarschuwingen
• Kinderen, gehandicapte personen en iedereen
die ongevoelig is voor warmte, bijvoorbeeld
een persoon met een slechte bloedsomloop,
mogen de jas niet gebruiken.
• Gebruik de jas voor niets anders dan zijn
gebruiksdoeleinden.
• Gebruik de jas nooit wanneer deze nat is.
• Draag de jas niet op de blote huid.
• Als u iets ongebruikelijks opmerkt, schakelt
u de jas onmiddellijk uit en verwijdert u de
accuhouder.
• Zorg ervoor dat de voedingskabel niet bekneld
raakt. Een beschadigd kabel kan een elektri-
sche schok veroorzaken.
• Als een abnormaliteit wordt opgemerkt, neemt
u contact op met uw plaatselijk servicecen-
trum voor reparatie.
• Gebruik geen spelden en dergelijke. De
elektrische draden binnenin kunnen worden
beschadigd.
• Bewaar de onderhoudslabels en het typepla-
tje. Als deze onleesbaar worden of verloren
zijn gegaan, neemt u contact op met ons ser-
vicecentrum voor reparatie.
• Kies een geschikte temperatuurinstelling aan
de hand van de gebruiksomgeving voor con-
tinu gebruik.
• De accu, accuhouder en stekkers mogen niet
nat worden tijdens wassen en drogen.
• Het product mag niet worden gebruikt door
jonge kinderen, behalve indien de bedienings-
elementen vooraf zijn ingesteld door een
ouder of voogd, of indien het kind afdoende
instructies heeft gehad over het veilig gebrui-
ken van de bedieningselementen.
• Let erop dat niet hetzelfde deel van uw huid
gedurende een lange tijd in aanraking komt
met het verwarmde deel. Als het verwarmde deel
gedurende een lange tijd in aanraking komt met
hetzelfde deel van uw huid, bestaat de kans op
koude brandwonden, zelfs bij een lage tempera-
tuur (40 tot 60 °C).
• Stop het gebruik van de jas wanneer u voelt
dat deze heet is.
• Gebruik de jas nooit terwijl u slaapt.
• Om de mogelijkheid van een hitteberoerte te
voorkomen, koppelt u de kleding los wanneer
u naar een omgeving met een aanzienlijk
hogere temperatuur gaat.
• Let goed op het merkteken aan de binnen-
kant van de kleding. Prik geen spelden door de
stof vanaf de binnen- of buitenkant.
•
Verwijder de accu’s uit de jas voordat u ze oplaadt.
• Verwijder lege accu’s uit de jas en gooi ze
veilig weg.

• Voordat u de jas gedurende een lange tijd
opbergt, verwijdert u de accu’s.
• Sluit de voedingsaansluitingen niet kort.
Wassen
• Als u de jas wast, volgt u de instructies op het
waarschuwingslabel in de jas.
• Voordat u de jas reinigt, verwijdert u de
accuhouder en de accu, en plaatst u de voe-
dingskabel in de accuzak en sluit u de sluiting.
Veiligheid op de werkplek
• Houd uw werkplek schoon en zorg voor goede
verlichting. Een rommelige of donkere werkplek
verhoogt de kans op ongevallen.
Elektrische veiligheid
•
Stel de jas niet bloot aan regen of natte omstan-
digheden. Als water binnendringt in de jas, kan de
kans op een elektrische schok toenemen.
• Behandel het snoer voorzichtig. Gebruik het
snoer nooit om de jas aan te dragen, eraan te
trekken, of de stekker ermee los te koppelen.
Houd het snoer uit de buurt van hitte, olie en
scherpe randen.
• Sluit de voedingsbron niet aan op de USB-
poort. Anders bestaat de kans op brand. De
USB-poort is uitsluitend bedoeld voor het opladen
van een laagspanningsapparaat.
• Plaats altijd de afdekking op de USB-poort
wanneer geen laagspanningsapparaat wordt
opgeladen.
• Steek geen spijker, draad, enz. in de USB-
voedingspoort. Anders kan door kortsluiting
rookontwikkeling en brand ontstaan.
• Raak het snoer en de accu niet met natte of
vette handen aan.
• Gebruik de jas nooit als het snoer of de plug
beschadigd is.
• Gebruik uitsluitend de accuhouder die door
Makita wordt gespeciceerd.
• Laat geen enkel snoer losgekoppeld terwijl
accuvoeding wordt geleverd. Jonge kinderen
kunnen de stroomvoerende plug in hun mond
stoppen en letsel oplopen.
• Sluit de plug van de accuhouder niet aan op
andere producten dan de jas die door Makita
wordt gespeciceerd.
Persoonlijke veiligheid
• Let altijd goed op, kijk naar wat u aan het doen
bent, en gebruik uw gezond verstand tijdens
gebruik van de jas. Gebruik de jas niet terwijl u
vermoeid of onder invloed van drugs, alcohol
of medicijnen bent. Een ogenblik van onoplet-
tendheid kan tijdens het gebruik van de jas leiden
tot ernstig persoonlijk letsel.
Gebruik en verzorging van de jas
• Gebruik de jas niet als deze niet kan worden in-
en uitgeschakeld met de schakelaar. Iedere jas
die niet met de schakelaar kan worden bediend is
gevaarlijk en moet eerst worden gerepareerd.
• Onderhoud de jas. Controleer op kapotte
onderdelen en elke andere situatie die van
invloed kan zijn op de werking van de jas. Als
de jas beschadigd is, laat u hem eerst repare-
ren voordat u hem gebruikt.
• Gebruik de jas overeenkomstig deze instruc-
ties, rekening houdend met de werkomstandig-
heden en de werkzaamheden die uitgevoerd
gaan worden. Het gebruik van de jas voor andere
werkzaamheden dan waarvoor hij is bedoeld, kan
leiden tot gevaarlijke situaties.
• Als de zekering is doorgebrand, laat u de jas
repareren door ons erkende servicecentrum.
Gebruik en verzorging van gereedschap dat op een
accu werkt
1.
Laad alleen op met de acculader aanbevolen
door de fabrikant. Een acculader die geschikt
is voor een bepaald type accu, kan brandgevaar
opleveren indien gebruikt met een ander type accu.
2. Gebruik elektrisch gereedschap uitsluitend
met de daarvoor bestemde accu. Gebruik van
andere accu’s kan gevaar voor letsel of brandge-
vaar opleveren.
3. Als de accu niet wordt gebruikt, houdt u deze
uit de buurt van metalen voorwerpen, zoals
paperclips, muntgeld, sleutels, spijkers,
schroeven en andere kleine metalen voorwer-
pen die een kortsluiting kunnen veroorzaken
tussen de accupolen. Kortsluiting tussen de
accupolen kan leiden tot brandwonden of brand.
4. Onder zware gebruiksomstandigheden kan
vloeistof uit de accu komen. Voorkom aanra-
king! Als u er per ongeluk mee in aanraking
komt, spoelt u het er met water af. Als de vloei-
stof in uw ogen komt, raadpleegt u tevens een
arts. Vloeistof uit de accu kan irritatie en brand-
wonden veroorzaken.
5.
Gebruik geen accu of gereedschap dat bescha-
digd of gewijzigd is. Beschadigde of gewijzigde
accu’s kunnen onvoorspelbaar gedrag vertonen dat
kan leiden tot brand, explosie of gevaar van letsel.
6. Stel een accu of gereedschap niet bloot
aan vuur of buitensporige temperaturen.
Blootstelling aan vuur of temperaturen hoger dan
130 °C kunnen een explosie veroorzaken.
7. Volg alle oplaadinstructies en laad de accu
of het gereedschap niet op buiten het tem-
peratuurbereik opgegeven in de instructies.
Verkeerd opladen of bij een temperatuur buiten
het opgegeven bereik kan de accu beschadigen
en de kans op brand vergroten.
Belangrijke veiligheidsinstructies
voor een accu
1. Lees alle voorschriften en waarschuwingen op
(1) de acculader, (2) de accu, en (3) het product
waarvoor de accu wordt gebruikt, alvorens de
accu in gebruik te nemen.
2. Neem de accu niet uit elkaar.
3. Als de gebruikstijd van een opgeladen accu
aanzienlijk korter is geworden, moet u het
gebruik ervan onmiddellijk stopzetten.
Voortgezet gebruik kan oververhitting, brand-
wonden en zelfs een ontplofng veroorzaken.
4. Als elektrolyt in uw ogen is terechtgeko-
men, spoelt u uw ogen met schoon water
en roept u onmiddellijk de hulp van een
dokter in. Elektrolyt in de ogen kan blindheid
veroorzaken.

5. Voorkom kortsluiting van de accu:
(1) Raak de accuklemmen nooit aan met een
geleidend materiaal.
(2) Bewaar de accu niet in een bak waarin
andere metalen voorwerpen zoals spij-
kers, munten e.d. worden bewaard.
(3) Stel de accu niet bloot aan water of regen.
Kortsluiting van de accu kan oorzaak zijn van
een grote stroomafgifte, oververhitting, brand-
wonden, en zelfs defecten.
6. Bewaar het gereedschap en de accu niet op
plaatsen waar de temperatuur kan oplopen tot
50°C of hoger.
7. Werp de accu nooit in het vuur, ook niet wan-
neer hij zwaar beschadigd of volledig versleten
is. De accu kan ontploffen in het vuur.
8. Wees voorzichtig dat u de accu niet laat vallen
en hem niet blootstelt aan schokken of stoten.
9. Gebruik nooit een beschadigde accu.
10. De bijgeleverde lithium-ionbatterijen zijn
onderhevig aan de vereisten in de wetgeving
omtrent gevaarlijke stoffen.
Voor commercieel transport en dergelijke door
derden en transporteurs moeten speciale vereis-
ten ten aanzien van verpakking en etikettering
worden nageleefd.
Als voorbereiding van het artikel dat wordt
getransporteerd is het noodzakelijk een expert op
het gebied van gevaarlijke stoffen te raadplegen.
Houd u tevens aan mogelijk strengere nationale
regelgeving.
Blootliggende contactpunten moeten worden
afgedekt met tape en de accu moet zodanig
worden verpakt dat deze niet kan bewegen in de
verpakking.
11. Volg bij het weggooien van de accu de plaatse-
lijke voorschriften.
12. Gebruik de accu’s uitsluitend met de gereed-
schappen die door Makita zijn aanbevolen. Als
de accu’s worden aangebracht in niet-compatibele
gereedschappen, kan dat leiden tot brand, bui-
tensporige warmteontwikkeling, een explosie of
lekkage van elektrolyt.
BEWAAR DEZE INSTRUCTIES.
LET OP: Gebruik uitsluitend originele Makita
accu’s. Het gebruik van niet-originele accu’s, of
accu’s die zijn gewijzigd, kan ertoe leiden dat de accu
ontploft en brand, persoonlijk letsel en schade veroor-
zaakt. Ook vervalt daarmee de garantie van Makita
op het gereedschap en de lader van Makita.
Tips voor een maximale levens-
duur van de accu
1. Laad de accu op voordat hij volledig ontladen
is. Stop het gebruik van het gereedschap en
laad de accu op telkens wanneer u vaststelt
dat het vermogen van het gereedschap is
afgenomen.
2. Laad een volledig opgeladen accu nooit
opnieuw op. Te lang opladen verkort de
levensduur van de accu.
3. Laad de accu op bij een omgevingstempe-
ratuur tussen 10°C en 40°C. Laat een warme
accu afkoelen alvorens hem op te laden.
4. Laad de accu op als u deze gedurende een
lange tijd (meer dan zes maanden) niet gaat
gebruiken.

OPSTELLEN
De accu aanbrengen of verwijderen
LET OP: Schakel het apparaat altijd uit voor-
dat u de accu aanbrengt of verwijdert.
LET OP: Houd de accuhouder en de accu stevig
vast tijdens het aanbrengen of verwijderen van de
accu. Als u de accuhouder en de accu niet stevig vast-
houdt, kunnen deze uit uw handen glippen en beschadigd
raken, en/of kan persoonlijk letsel worden veroorzaakt.

Om de accu aan te brengen, lijnt u de lip op de accu uit met
de groef in de behuizing en duwt u de accu op zijn plaats.
Duw de accu helemaal op zijn plaats tot hij wordt vergrendeld
met een klikgeluid. Als u het rode deel aan de bovenkant van
de knop kunt zien, is de accu niet goed aangebracht.
Om de accu te verwijderen drukt u de knop aan de voorkant van
de accu en schuift u tegelijkertijd de accu van de accuhouder af.
LET OP: Breng de accu altijd helemaal aan
totdat het rode deel niet meer zichtbaar is. Als u dit
niet doet, kan de accu per ongeluk uit de accuhouder
vallen en u of anderen in uw omgeving verwonden.
LET OP: Breng de accu niet met kracht aan.
Als de accu niet gemakkelijk op zijn plaats schuift,
wordt deze niet correct aangebracht.
Accuzak
De accuhouder (met de accu) kan worden opgeborgen in de
accuzak. Trek de stekker van de voedingskabel uit de accu-
zak en sluit hem aan op de plug van de accuhouder. Plaats
daarna de accuhouder in de accuzak en sluit de sluiting.

De riemhaak op de accuhouder kan eraf worden
gehaald door de schroeven te verwijderen.

De accuhouder aansluiten
U kunt de accuhouder aan uw broekriem hangen.
Om te voorkomen dat de accuhouder per ongeluk valt, rijgt u
een koord door het koordoog en knoopt u dit ergens aan vast.
1. Trek de voedingskabel uit de bovenste opening in
de accuzak en steek de stekker door de onderste ope-
ning in de accuzak, en trek hem erdoor naar de binnen-
kant van de jas of bodywarmer.

Bevestig de riemhaak van de accuhouder aan uw broek-
riem en sluit de stekker aan op de plug van de accuhouder.

De accuhouder heeft een valpreventiefunctie. Wanneer
u de accuhouder van de broekriem verwijdert, trekt u de
accuhouder omhoog terwijl u de ontgrendelknop indrukt.

BESCHRIJVING VAN DE
FUNCTIES
Aan-uitknop
Om de jas of bodywarmer in te schakelen, houdt u de
aan-uitknop ingedrukt (ongeveer 1,5 seconden). Om
uit te schakelen, houdt u de aan-uitknop nogmaals
ingedrukt.
Temperatuurinstelling
Er zijn drie temperatuurinstellingen (hoog, midden,
laag). Wanneer u de jas of bodywarmer inschakelt,
wordt de temperatuur ingesteld op “hoog”. Elke keer
wanneer u op de aan-uitknop drukt, verandert de tem-
peratuurinstelling zoals aangegeven in de afbeelding.
De kleur van de aan-uitknop geeft de huidige instelling
aan.

OPMERKING: Afhankelijk van de gebruiksomstan-
digheden en de omgevingstemperatuur, is het moge-
lijk dat de aangegeven acculading verschilt van de
werkelijke acculading.

Accubeveiligingssysteem
Het apparaat is voorzien van een accubeveiligingssys-
teem. Dit systeem schakelt automatisch de voeding
naar de verwarmde delen uit om de levensduur van
de accu te verlengen. Als de resterende acculading
onvoldoende is, zal het apparaat niet werken. Wanneer
u het apparaat inschakelt, worden de verwarmde delen
gevoed, maar dit stopt spoedig. In dat geval, verwijdert
u de accu en laadt u deze op.
USB-apparaten aansluiten
LET OP: Sluit alleen apparaten aan die com-
patibel zijn met de USB-voedingspoort. Als u dat
niet doet, kan een storing in de accuhouder worden
veroorzaakt.
KENNISGEVING: Voordat u een USB-apparaat
aansluit op de accuhouder (met accu), maakt u
altijd eerst een reservekopie van de gegevens op
het USB-apparaat. Als u dat niet doet, kunnen uw
gegevens verloren gaan.
De accuhouder (met de accu) kan werken als een
externe voeding voor USB-apparaten.
Open de afdekking en sluit een USB-kabel (niet bijgele-
verd) aan op de voedingspoort van de accuhouder. Sluit

apparaat en zet de schakelaar naast de USB-poort aan.
De accuhouder (met de accu) levert 5 V gelijkspanning
van (maximaal) 2,4 A.

De USB-kabel kan handig worden weggewerkt in de
jas of bodywarmer via de opening in de zak en de
kabelhouder.

OPMERKING: Het is mogelijk dat de accuhouder
sommige USB-apparaten niet kan voeden.
OPMERKING: Als u dit niet gebruikt, of na het
opladen, verwijdert u de USB-kabel en sluit u de
afdekking.
OPMERKING: Wanneer de schakelaar aan staat
wordt accuvoeding verbruikt. Zet de schakelaar altijd
uit wanneer dit niet in gebruik is.
OPMERKING: Als u meerdere USB-apparaten achter
elkaar oplaadt, wacht u ongeveer 10 seconden nadat
het opladen van een apparaat is voltooid voordat u
het volgende apparaat begint op te laden.
ONDERHOUD
LET OP: Zorg er altijd voor dat de jas is uitge-
schakeld en de accu is verwijderd, voordat u een
inspectie of onderhoud uitvoert.
LET OP: Als de jas niet kan worden inge-
schakeld of een defect wordt vastgesteld aan een
volledig opgeladen accu, reinigt u de aansluitin-
gen van de accuhouder en de accu. Als de jas nog
steeds niet goed werkt, stopt u met het gebruik
van de jas en neemt u contact op met ons erkende
servicecentrum.
KENNISGEVING: Gebruik nooit benzine, was-
benzine, thinner, alcohol en dergelijke. Hierdoor
kunnen verkleuring, vervormingen en barsten
worden veroorzaakt.
Om de VEILIGHEID en BETROUWBAARHEID van
het gereedschap te handhaven, dienen alle reparaties,
onderhoud of afstellingen te worden uitgevoerd bij een
erkend Makita-servicecentrum of de Makita-fabriek, en
altijd met gebruik van Makita-vervangingsonderdelen.
De jas of bodywarmer reinigen
Voor alle modellen
• Verwijderdeaccuhouderuitdejasofbodywarmer
alvorens deze te wassen.
• Volgdeinstructiesophetwasetiket.
• Wasdejasofbodywarmerniettezamenmet
andere kleding. Als u dat doet, kan de kleur verva-
gen of verkleuren.

chine wast.
• Gebruikgeenwasverzachter.
• Gebruikuitsluitendeenneutraalwasmiddel.
• Haalnahetwassendejasofbodywarmeronmid-
dellijk uit de wasmachine.
• Vergeetnietderitsdichttedoenvorenste
wassen.
Alleen voor CJ106D / DCJ206
• Deprestatiesvandereecterendestrepenkun-
nen achteruitgaan door het wassen.
• Wasineenwasmachinemeteenwasprogramma
voor gevoelige stoffen (het maximale aantal was-
beurten is 25 keer).
• Hetmaximaleaantalwasbeurtenisnietdeenige
factor die de levensduur van de jas bepaalt.
• Delevensduurvandejasverschiltafhankelijkvan
hoe deze wordt gebruikt, verzorgd en bewaard.
• Alsdereecterendestrepenofdestofzijnversle-
ten, vervangt u de jas door een nieuwe.
