INTRODUCTION
lightweight tripod designed for digital cameras.
KEY FEATURES

SETUPO
Open the 3tripod legs.
To adjust the height of the tripod, each leg has telescopic extensions that can be
released by rotating lever "A" on the locking collar "B".
CENTER COLUMN HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT e
To release the center column "D", unlock knob "E" and adjust the height of the
column as required. Tighten knob "E"
to lock the column in position.
INVERTING THE CENTRAL COLUMN e
The centre column can be inverted.
Remove the rubber cap "S" (fig.
2), unlock lever "E" and remove the column "D"
pulling it upward out
of the shoulder of the tripod.
Invert the column "D" and insert it (fig.
3) into the shoulder from below. Tighten lever
"E" and replace the rubber cap "S".
LEG ANGLE ADJUSTMENT 0
Each leg can be set at 2angles of spread. To change the angle on aleg, close
the leg towards the centre column slightly and rotate the locking button "W" at
the top of the leg and then reposition the leg.
REMOVE QUICK RELEASE PLATE FROM HEAD 0
To remove plate "L" rotate lever "P" fully in the direction of the arrow.
ASSEMBLING CAMCORDER ON PLATE 0
If your camcorder doesn't have ahole for aVHS pin, or If you're using astills
camera, you will need to remove pin "X" (fig.
6) by pushing it out from underneath.
Keep the
VHS pin in asafe place in case you need it in the future.
Fix the camcorder onto plate "L" by screwing home camera screw
"M" into the
camera's threaded hole WITHOUT APPLYING FORCE, using the ring "Q".
Before fully locking, align the camcorder lens with the "LENS" marking on the
camera plate "L".
Please ensure you have securely locked the camcorder
on to the release plate
before use.
MOUNTING THE CAMERA ON THE HEAD 0 G &e
Push the ring "Q" (fig. 6) so that it is flat against the plate "L".
Next open the lever
"P" and keep it open whilst loading the camera. Insert the
camera plate "L"
as shown in figure 7on top of the head and then release the lever
"P"
to mount the camera. Please ensure that plate "L" (fig. 8) is fUlly locked by
pushing lever "P" and checking that the camera is fitted securely to the head.
REMOVE THE CAMERA FROM THE HEAD 0
Whenever the camera needs to be removed from the head, hold the camera securely
in one hand while operating locking lever "P" with the other.
HEAD USE O&~
The head features pan and vertical tilt which are controlled using the pan bar "F" (fig. 1).
The pan movement can be locked using knob "R".
The vertical tilt movement can be locked using the handle "F": rotate the handle anti
clockwise directions
to allow the head to be moved to the position required and then
lock
in position by rotating clockwise.
The head is also provided by a leveling movement that allows the vertical
photographic shot. Unscrew the knob "C" (fig. 10) to release the movement.

It
is important to read the full instructions before use in order
to take full advantage
of the system and prevent accidental
damage.
Do
not exceed the maximum specified load (see
specifications).
Always engage safety locks and devices where applicable
on the product.
Do not use product at temperatures less than -30°C or more
than +60°C (-22°F / +140°F).
Dry the product after use
in wet conditions.
Not recommended to use
in seawater.
Do
not leave the product in the sun for long periods and
avoid high temperatures e.g.
in a car or behind glass for
hours.

It is recommended that the equipment be removed from the
support for transportation.
Don't scrub the spirit-level: you could charge it
electrostatically and it could temporarily loose the precision.
Clean with mild detergent and asoft cloth.
Remove dust and sand from
all locking threads and sliding
segments.
The equipment
does not require regular lubrication but if
required, use standard lubricant oils or grease.
In the event on the product becoming defective, the unit
should be returned
to an authorized MANFROTTO service
agent.

workmanship. This guarantee does not cover the product against
subsequent damage or misuse. The period of validity of this standard
guarantee is defined by the law

the product is sold -for example, for retail sales in the EEC this standard
warranty is for two years from the date of sale to the original purchaser.
How to get an extra 3years' warranty coverage
Beyond the standard compulsory coverage outlined above, Manfrotto offers
an additional 3years' limited warranty extension in accordance with the
terms and conditions overleaf. The limited warranty extension does not
affect the standard compulsory coverage. To take advantage of the limited
warranty extension scheme, you must register your purchase with
us.
How to register your purchase and complete the questionnaire
a) You can register your purchase and answer the questionnaire online at
www.manfrotto.com/warrantv
b) you must keep your receipt as proof of purchase for the warranty to be
valid: you will need to present the receipt when you service or repair your
product under warranty.
Terms and
conditions of the 3year limited warranty extension
Manfrotto warrants, to the original purchaser only, that this product will be
free from defects
in materials and workmanship under normal and proper
usage for
an extra 3year period above and beyond the standard period
imposed by the law in the country where the product was sold. Manfrotto's
obligation in this 3year warranty extension is limited to replacing or
repairing, at Manfrotto's discretion, products or parts determined by
Manfrotto to be defective in materials or workmanship. If the original
product has been superseded, replacement may be made with acurrent
model of the same quality and equivalent function. Warranty of any
replacement parts is limited
to 90 days or the unexpired portion of the
warranty period of the product on which the parts are being used,
whichever is longer.
To obtain warranty service, the purchaser should return the product or the
defective part(s), carefully packed and with proof of purchase date to the
Manfrotto distributor
in the country of purchase (for up-to-date addresses,
see www.manfrotto.com/warranty/distributos/ )or to the shop/store where
the product was purchased. All shipping expenses are the purchaser's
responsibility.
This warranty does not cover any defects or costs caused
by:
-modification, alteration, repair or service of this product by anyone other than
Manfrotto;
-physical abuse to, overload of, or misuse of, the product or operation thereof
in amanner contrary to the instructions accompanying the product;
-any use of the product other than that for which it was designed;
-shipment ofthe product to Manfrotto for service.
-failure to comply with care and maintenance instructions accompanying the
product.
This warranty does not cover labour costs.
Unless local law in the country, state or region of purchase dictates otherwise,
Manfrotto will under
no circumstances be liable for any special incidental or
consequential damages, including, but not limited to, personal injury, property
damage, damage to
or loss of equipment, lost profits or revenue, costs of
renting replacements and other additional expenses, even if Manfrotto has been
advised ofthe possibility ofsuch damages.
In accepting this extended warranty you agree that the terms and conditions of
it
are the entire agreement between us relating to the extension of the liability of
us as the producer under the law of the country, state or region where the
product has been sold. In particular there is no other express or implied
warranty given by Manfrotto as the producer to you.
Storage, use and distribution
of the information you provide
By completing the registration form and questionnaire, and ticking the relevant
box on the form, you authorise Manfrotto and those companies directly involved
in the fulfilment of our limited warranty extension to use the information you give
for the following purposes:
-to fulfil our obligations under the limited warranty extension,
in order to offer
you abetter service
-to keep track of product sales, production batches and defects,
in order to
improve existing products
-
to perform statistical research and analysis of market trends in order to
improve new products
Your information will
be stored electronically by Manfrotto, and may be given to
Manfrotto distributors for service or repair of your product under the limited
warranty extension. You can write
to us at any time to see a copy of the
information from you that
we have stored, and you can also ask us at any time
to cancel all information held about you. Without your information and
registration details and without your positive consent (granted by ticking the
relevant box) to use your information for the above purposes,
we will not be
able to grant you the extended limited warranty.
You can also opt
in to receive occasional product information or offers from
Manfrotto and its distributors, or to take part in further market research carried
out by Manfrotto and its distributors by ticking the relevant box on the
