Introduction
Greetings
Thank you very much for purchasing our unit.
We take all possible measures for quality control of the product. For long and safe use of the product,
handle the equipment properly according to this instruction manual.
We have carefully checked the contents of this instruction manual, but please contact our company if you
find errors or omissions.
Precautions for Handling
When system has high voltage power supply, equipment connected might receive
damage due to high voltage.
When operate with GPIB interface, connect only cables required for system operation.
The power supply has protection for intermittent short circuit, however operation with
repeatable short circuit with arc should be avoided.
The power supply has enough protection for noise, however if hung-up or voltage
output, which is not programmed, are observed,
⇒Turn off the power supply and reset the bus, then resend the command again
from controller.
・Be sure to turn off the power of all equipment that makes up the
system before you change anything in the system.
Ground the GROUND terminal.

Connect AC Input Cable
AC input connections should be performed by a trained electrician, or personnel with a similar level of
knowledge who understands how to use this unit correctly and who is familiar with the risks involved.
is GROUND. Be sure to ground.
Before connecting or modifying cables, be sure to cut off the AC input power.
After completing the work, check that all wiring is correct and there are no loose connections before
turning the AC input power on.
Connecting CO-G32/CO-G32m/CO-E32/CO-E32m/CO-U32m
Here, we take CO-G32m as an example.
Models except for -L(U) option)
Models with -L(U) option
Be sure to connect the GROUND terminal to the ground.
Plug the input cable of the product into a power outlet.
Plug into an outlet.
Brown: L
Blue: N
Green/Yellow:
Attach a crimped terminal or the like to the end of the input
cable of the product, and ground the green/yellow wire.
Connect the brown wire (L) and blue wire (N) to the power
supply line via a circuit breaker or other circuit breaker.

We take CO-OPT2-25 as an example.
Connect the output of the supplied
AC adapter to the DC input
terminal of the main unit.
Plug the input of the AC adapter to
the AC power outlet.

Setting GPIB Address and Delimiter
As for details about -LGob option with CO-G32 or -LGmb option with CO-G32m, refer to the Instruction
Manual of CO-32/CO-32m.
USB Setting
Download the USB driver from our website and install it.
To install the USB Driver, refer to “USB Driver Installation Guide”.
As for details about -LGob option with CO-U32 or -LGmb option with CO-E32m, refer to the Instruction
Manual of USB-OPT/CO-U32m.
LAN Setting
As for details about -LGob option with CO-E32 or -LGmb option with CO-G32m, refer to the Instruction
Manual of CO-E32/CO-E32m.
Cross/Straight Changeover Switch(-LRs Option: R4G Series)
The RS-232C cable to use for the digital communication of the R4G series -LRs option fits crossing cable
and a straight cable.
A cable type is matched by the cross/straight changeover switch in the rear panel.
The upper setting (CROSS) uses crossing cable and the lower setting (STRAIGHT) uses a straight cable.

Upper Connection
On the rear panel of R4G/R4GT Series with -LGob option there is an eight DIL switch labeled "SW1".
The S8 selects the upper connection, what unit connects to optical fiber cable connector (IN). The
selection is following.
・OFF ・・・・・・CO-G32 or CO-RG or CO-HV or USB-OPT or CO-E32 or -LGob option for each model
・ON・・・・・・・・・CO-OPT2-9 or CO-OPT2-25 or CO-OPT4-25
The factory setting of upper connection is “CO-G32 or CO-RG or CO-HV or USB-OPT or CO-E32 or
-LGob option”.
Be sure to turn off power before setting them as they are loaded when the unit starts up.
