wiches bestimmt.
■Das Gerät ist ausschließlich für den
privaten Gebrauch geeignet, nicht für
eine gewerbliche oder haushaltsähnli-
che Nutzung z.B. in Hotels, Frühstück-
spensionen, Büros, Mitarbeiterküchen
o.Ä.
■Das Gerät nur für den angegebenen
Zweck und nur wie in der Gebrauchs-
anleitung beschrieben nutzen. Jede
weitere Verwendung gilt als bestim-
mungswidrig.
■Von der Gewährleistung ausge-

fenem Käse auch im XXL-Format! Durch die spezielle „Muschelform“ der Sandwich-
Einsätze bleibt der Käse im Sandwich und läuft nicht mehr daneben. Ohne Teilung
der Sandwich-Einsätze – so können die Sandwiches besonders üppig befüllt werden.
Dank der antihaftbeschichteten Druckgussplatten, lässt sich das Gerät zudem leicht

SICHERHEITSHINWEISE
WARNUNG: Alle Sicherheitshinweise, Anweisungen,
Bebilderungen und technischen Daten, mit denen dieses
Gerät versehen ist, beachten. Versäumnisse bei der Einhal-
tung der Sicherheitshinweise und Anweisungen können elek-
trischen Schlag, Brand und/oder Verletzungen verursachen.
■Dieses Gerät kann von Kindern ab 8 Jahren sowie von Perso-
nen mit reduzierten physischen, sensorischen oder mentalen
Fähigkeiten oder Mangel an Erfahrung und / oder Wissen
benutzt werden, wenn sie beaufsichtigt oder bezüglich des
sicheren Gebrauchs des Gerätes unterwiesen wurden und die
daraus resultierenden Gefahren verstanden haben.
■Kinder dürfen nicht mit dem Gerät spielen.
■Reinigung und Benutzer-Wartung dürfen nicht durch Kinder

VORSICHT: Heiße Oberfläche! Das Gerät wird während
des Gebrauchs sehr heiß. Unbedingt darauf achten, dass
während und nach der Benutzung des Gerätes keine
aufgeheizten Teile berührt werden. Ausschließlich den
Griff berühren, während das Gerät in Betrieb ist oder
unmittelbar nach dem Ausschalten. Das Gerät nur trans-
portieren bzw. verstauen, wenn es vollständig abgekühlt
ist. Geeignete Küchenhandschuhe verwenden.
■Das Gerät ist nicht dazu bestimmt, mit einer externen Zeitschalt-
uhr oder einem separaten Fernwirksystem betrieben zu werden.
■Wenn das Gerät oder die Anschlussleitung beschädigt sind,
müssen diese durch den Hersteller, den Kundenservice oder
eine ähnlich qualifizierte Person (z.B. Fachwerkstatt) ersetzt
werden, um Gefährdungen zu vermeiden.
■Unbedingt die Reinigungshinweise im Kapitel „Reinigung und
Aufbewahrung“ beachten!

GEFAHR – Stromschlaggefahr
■Das Gerät nur in geschlossenen Räu-
men verwenden.
■Das Gerät nicht in Räumen mit hoher
Luftfeuchtigkeit verwenden.
■Das Gerät und die Anschlussleitung
niemals in Wasser oder andere Flüs-
sigkeiten eintauchen und sicherstel-
len, dass diese Komponenten nicht
ins Wasser fallen oder nass werden
können.
■Sollte das Gerät ins Wasser fallen,
sofort die Stromzufuhr unterbrechen.
Nicht versuchen, das Gerät aus dem
Wasser zu ziehen, während es an das
Stromnetz angeschlossen ist!
■Das Gerät und die Anschlussleitung
niemals mit feuchten Händen berüh-
ren, wenn das Gerät an das Strom-
netz angeschlossen ist.
WARNUNG – Brandgefahr
■Das Gerät nicht zusammen mit ande-
ren Verbrauchern (mit hoher Watt-
leistung) an eine Mehrfachsteckdose
anschließen, um eine Überlastung
und ggf. einen Kurzschluss (Brand) zu
vermeiden.
■Das Gerät nicht in Verbindung mit
Verlängerungskabeln nutzen.
■Das Gerät nicht in der Nähe von
brennbarem Material betreiben.
Keine brennbaren oder leicht schmel-
zenden Materialien (z.B. Pappe,
Papier, Holz, Kunststoff) in oder auf
das Gerät legen.
■Das Gerät während des Betriebes
nicht abdecken, um einen Geräte-
brand zu vermeiden. Für ausreichen-
de Belüftung sorgen, während das
Gerät in Betrieb ist.
■Das Gerät nicht als Heizung ver-
wenden.
■Im Brandfall: Nicht mit Wasser
löschen! Flammen mit einer feuer-
festen Decke oder einem geeigneten
Feuerlöscher ersticken.
WARNUNG – Verletzungs-
gefahr
■Kinder und Tiere vom Verpackungs-
material fernhalten. Es besteht Ersti-
ckungsgefahr.
■Sicherstellen, dass die Anschluss-
leitung stets außer Reichweite von
Kleinkindern und Tieren ist. Es be-
steht Strangulationsgefahr.
■Während des Betriebes kann heißer
Dampf aus dem Gerät austreten.
Kopf und Hände daher aus der
Gefahrenzone fernhalten. Es besteht
Verbrühungsgefahr durch Hitze und
heißen Dampf.
■Die Grillplatte des Gerätes wird sehr
heiß. Beim Auflegen und Entnehmen
der Lebensmittel vorsichtig sein!
Gegebenenfalls eine Küchenzange
aus Kunststoff oder Holz verwenden.
Es besteht Verbrennungsgefahr.
■Das Gerät darf während des Betrie-
bes nicht bewegt werden. Es besteht
Verbrennungsgefahr.
■Darauf achten, dass die Anschluss-
leitung keine Stolpergefahr darstellt.
Sie darf nicht von der Aufstellfläche
herabhängen, um ein Herunterreißen
des Gerätes zu verhindern.
HINWEIS – Risiko von Material- und
Sachschäden
■Das Gerät nur an eine vorschrifts-
mäßig installierte Steckdose, die mit
den technischen Daten des Gerätes
übereinstimmt, anschließen. Die
Steckdose muss auch nach dem An-
schließen gut zugänglich sein, damit
die Netzverbindung schnell getrennt
werden kann.

■Darauf achten, dass die Anschlusslei-
tung nicht gequetscht, geknickt oder
über scharfe Kanten gelegt wird und
nicht mit heißen Flächen in Berüh-
rung kommt (dies gilt auch für die
heißen Flächen des Gerätes!).
■Ausschließlich hitzebeständige
Utensilien zum Auflegen und Entneh-
men der Lebensmittel verwenden.
Metallgegenstände oder sonstige
scharfkantige Gegenstände vom
Gerät fernhalten. Diese könnten die
Antihaftbeschichtung der Grillplatten
beschädigen. Wir empfehlen hitzebe-
ständige Küchenutensilien aus Holz
oder Kunststoff zu verwenden.
■Das Gerät ausschalten und den Netz-
stecker aus der Steckdose ziehen,
wenn während des Betriebes ein
Fehler auftritt, bei einem Stromausfall
oder vor einem Gewitter.
■Das Gerät niemals an der Anschluss-
leitung ziehen oder tragen.
■Beim Herausziehen aus der Steckdo-
se immer am Netzstecker und nie am
Netzkabel ziehen!
■Das Gerät vor anderen Wärmequel-
len, offenem Feuer, Minustempera-
turen, lang anhaltender Feuchtigkeit,
Nässe und Stößen schützen.
■Nur Original-Zubehörteile des Her-
stellers verwenden, um die Funkti-
onsweise des Gerätes nicht zu beein-
trächtigen und eventuelle Schäden zu
verhindern.
VOR DEM ERSTEN
GEBRAUCH
Das Gerät kann mit möglichen Produk-
tionsrückständen behaftet sein. Um
gesundheitliche Beeinträchtigungen zu
vermeiden, das Gerät vor dem ersten
Gebrauch gründlich reinigen und an-
schließend für einige Minuten aufheizen.
Dafür den Anweisungen in den Kapiteln
„Reinigung und Aufbewahrung“, „Gerät
aufstellen“ und „Benutzung“ befolgen.
 Bei der ersten Inbetriebnahme
kann es durch produktionsbe-
dingte Zusätze (z.B. Fett) zu leich-
ter Rauch- und/oder Geruchsent-
wicklung kommen. Dies ist normal
und kein Defekt des Gerätes.
GERÄT AUFSTELLEN
Beachten!
■Das Gerät nicht unter Küchenober-
schränke o.Ä. stellen. Durch den
aufsteigenden Dampf könnten diese
Schaden nehmen!
■Das Gerät darf nur in waagerechter
Stellung in Betrieb genommen wer-
den, niemals auf der Seite oder schief
stehend.
Das geschlossene Gerät mit einem
Freiraum zu den Seiten (mind. 20cm)
und nach oben (mind. 30cm) auf einen
ebenen, festen sowie wärmebeständigen
Untergrund aufstellen.

BENUTZUNG
Beachten!
■Das Gerät darf während des Betrie-
bes nicht unbeaufsichtigt gelassen
werden!
■Das Gerät sollte sich immer ohne
große Kraftaufwendung schließen
lassen. Nicht mit Gewalt öffnen oder
schließen!
■Im Interesse der eigenen Sicherheit
das Gerät und die Anschlussleitung
vor jeder Inbetriebnahme auf Beschä-
digungen überprüfen. Das Gerät nur
benutzen, wenn es funktionsfähig ist.
 Die Grillplatten (3, 4) haben zwar
eine Antihaftbeschichtung, wir
empfehlen jedoch, sie leicht ein-
zufetten. Kein Kochspray verwen-
den, da es die Antihaftbeschich-
tung angreifen kann!
1. Die Anschlussleitung vollständig
auseinanderwickeln und das Gerät an
eine Steckdose anschließen. Sicher-
stellen, dass die Anschlussleitung
nicht zwischen den Grillplatten ein-
geklemmt ist. Sowohl die Betriebs-
leuchte (5) als auch die Heizleuch-
te(7) leuchten. Wenn die Heizleuchte
erlischt, hat das Gerät die Betriebs-
temperatur erreicht.
2. Die Sandwiches auf die untere
Grillplatte in die dafür vorgesehenen
Formen legen.
3. Das Gerät zuklappen und den Ver-
schlussriegel (6) schließen.
4. Das Gerät für einige Minuten ge-
schlossen halten.
 Wenn die Heizleuchte erlischt
und wieder aufleuchtet, bedeutet
dies, dass das Gerät den Heiz-
vorgang unterbricht. So wird eine
konstante Temperatur gehalten.
5. Die Speisen entnehmen, wenn sie
den gewünschten Gar- und Bräu-
nungsgrad erreicht haben.
Beachten: Zur Entnahme der Speisen
nur hitzebeständige Küchenhelfer aus
Holz oder Kunststoff verwenden.
6. Das Gerät nach der Benutzung
vom Stromnetz trennen und abkühlen
lassen, bevor es gereinigt wird.
TIPPS UND TRICKS
• Für die Füllung sind der Fantasie
keine Grenzen gesetzt: von Schin-
ken und Käse oder Pizzasauce und
Mozzarella bis hin zu Füllungen mit
Früchten ist alles möglich.
• Für ein geschmacksintensiveres
Resultat die Außenseiten der Toast-
scheiben mit etwas Butter oder
Margarine bestreichen.
• Für süße Sandwiches, z.B. mit Frucht-
füllung, kann für ein extra knuspriges
Endergebnis, etwas Zucker auf die
Außenseiten der Toastscheiben ge-
streut werden.
REINIGUNG UND
AUFBEWAHRUNG
Beachten!
■Das Gerät ist nicht spülmaschinen-
geeignet.
■Niemals kaltes Wasser während oder
direkt nach dem Gebrauch auf die
Grillplatten spritzen. Dies könnte die
Antihaftbeschichtung beschädigen!
■Zum Reinigen keine scharfen oder
scheuernden Reinigungsmittel oder
Reinigungspads verwenden. Diese
können die Oberflächen beschädigen.
Das Gerät sofort nach jedem Gebrauch
reinigen, um Keimbildung vorzubeugen.
Keine Lebensmittelreste antrocknen
lassen.

1. Vergewissern, dass das Gerät kom-
plett abgekühlt und vom Stromnetz
getrennt ist!
2. Speisereste von den Grillplatten (3, 4)
entfernen.
3. Die Grillplatten mit einem nassen
Schwamm und etwas mildem Spül-
mittel reinigen.
4. Das Gehäuse mit einem feuchten
Tuch abwischen.
5. Das Gerät anschließend mit einem
weichen Tuch abtrocknen.
6. Das Gerät schließen und mit der
Verschlussriegel (6) fixieren.
7. Das Gerät für Kinder und Tiere unzu-
gänglich an einem trockenen, saube-
ren, frostfreien Ort aufbewahren.
PROBLEMBEHEBUNG
Sollte das Gerät nicht ordnungsgemäß
funktionieren, überprüfen, ob ein Prob-
lem selbst behoben werden kann. Lässt
sich mit den nachfolgenden Schritten
das Problem nicht lösen, den Kunden-
service kontaktieren.
Nicht versuchen, ein elektrisches
Gerät selbst zu reparieren!
Das Gerät funktioniert nicht.
Die Betriebsleuchte (5) leuchtet
nicht.
Der Netzstecker steckt nicht richtig in
der Steckdose.
►Den Sitz des Netzsteckers korrigieren.
Die Steckdose ist defekt.
►Eine andere Steckdose ausprobieren.
Es ist keine Netzspannung vorhanden.
►Die Sicherung des Netzanschlusses
überprüfen.
Die Sicherung im Sicherungskasten
wird ausgelöst.
Zu viele Geräte am selben Stromkreis
angeschlossen.
►Anzahl der Geräte im Stromkreis
reduzieren.
Die Heizkontrollleuchte (7) leuchtet
nicht.
Das Gerät hat Betriebstemperatur er-
reicht.
►Mit der Zubereitung der Sandwiches
beginnen.
Während des Gebrauchs lässt sich ein
unangenehmer Geruch feststellen.
Das Gerät wird zum ersten Mal verwendet.
►Eine Geruchsentwicklung tritt bei
der ersten Benutzung neuer Ge-
räte häufig auf. Der Geruch sollte
verschwinden, nachdem das Gerät
mehrmals benutzt wurde.
Das Gerät ist verschmutzt.
►Das Gerät reinigen.
ENTSORGUNG
Das Verpackungsmaterial um-
weltgerecht entsorgen und der
Wertstoffsammlung zuführen.
Dieses Gerät unterliegt der euro-
päischen Richtlinie 2012/19/EU für
Elektro- und Elektronik-Altgeräte

the cheese stays in the sandwich and no longer spills out. Without splitting the sand-
wich inserts – so you can get plenty of filling in the sandwiches. The die-cast plates

tions and technical data provided with this device. Failure
to follow the safety notices and instructions may result in
electric shock, fire and / or injuries.
■This device may be used by children aged 8 and over and by
people with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or a
lack of experience and / or knowledge if they are supervised
or have received instruction on how to use the device safely
and have understood the dangers resulting from failure to
comply with the relevant safety precautions.
■Children must not play with the device.
■Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by
children, unless they are older than 8 years of age and are
supervised.
■Children younger than 8 years of age and animals must be
kept away from the device and the connecting cable.
CAUTION: Hot surface! The device will get very hot
during use. It is essential to make sure that no heated
parts are touched while using and after using the device.
Only ever touch the handle while the device is in opera-

transport or store away the device when it has cooled
down completely. Use appropriate oven gloves.
■The device is not designed to be operated with an external tim-

■It is essential to follow the cleaning instructions in the “Clean-
ing and Storage” chapter!

DANGER – Danger of Electric
Shock
■Use the device only in closed rooms.
■Do not use the device in rooms with
high humidity.
■Never immerse the device and the
connecting cable in water or other
liquids and ensure that these com-
ponents cannot fall into water or
become wet.
■If the device does fall into water, switch
off the power supply immediately. Do
not attempt to pull the device out of
the water while it is connected to the
mains power!
■Never touch the device and the con-
necting cable with wet hands when
the device is connected to the mains
power.
WARNING – Danger of Fire
■Do not connect the device along with
other consumers (with a high wattage)
to a multiple socket in order to pre-
vent overloading and a possible short
circuit (fire).
■Do not use the device in conjunction
with extension cables.
■Do not operate the device in the vi-
cinity of combustible material. Do not
place any combustible or easily melt-
able materials (e.g. cardboard, paper,
wood, plastic) in or on the device.
■Do not cover the device during
operation in order to prevent it from
catching fire. Ensure that there is
sufficient ventilation while the device
is in operation.
■Do not use the device for heating.
■In the event of a fire: Do not extin-
guish with water! Smother the flames
with a fireproof blanket or a suitable
fire extinguisher.
WARNING – Danger of Injury
■Keep children and animals away from
the packaging material. There is a
danger of suffocation.
■Make sure that the connecting cable
is always kept out of the reach of
small children and animals. There is a
danger of strangulation.
■Hot steam can escape from the device
during operation. You should there-
fore keep your head and hands out of
the danger zone. There is a danger of
scalding from heat and hot steam.
■The grill plate of the device will
become very hot. Be careful when
placing on and removing the food! If
necessary, use kitchen tongs made of
plastic or wood. There is a danger of
burns.
■The device must not be moved during
operation. There is a danger of burns.
■Make sure that the connecting cable
does not present a trip hazard. It may
not hang down from the surface on
which the device is placed in order to

NOTICE – Risk of Damage to

■Only connect the device to a plug
socket that is properly installed and
matches the technical data of the
device. The plug socket must also be
readily accessible after connection so
that the connection to the mains can
quickly be isolated.

is not squashed, bent or laid over
sharp edges and does not come into
contact with hot surfaces (this also
applies to the hot surfaces of the

■Only use heat-resistant utensils to
place and remove the food. Keep
metal objects or other sharp objects
away from the device. These objects
could damage the non-stick coating
of the grill plates. We recommend the
use of heat-resistant kitchen utensils
made from wood or plastic.
■Switch off the device and pull the
mains plug out of the plug socket if an
error occurs during operation, when
there is a power cut or before
a thunderstorm.
■Never pull or carry the device by the
connecting cable.
■When you pull the mains plug out
of the plug socket, always pull on
the mains plug and never the mains
cable!
■Protect the device from other heat
sources, naked flames, sub-zero tem-
peratures, persistent moisture, wet
conditions and impacts.
■Use only original accessories from the
manufacturer in order to guarantee
that there is no interference that may
prevent the device from working and
to avoid possible damage.
BEFORE INITIAL USE
There may still be some production
residues on the device. To avoid harmful
effects to your health, clean the device
thoroughly before you first use it and then
heat it up for a few minutes. To do this,
follow the instructions in the “Cleaning
and Storage”, “Setting Up the Device”
and “Use” chapters.
 When the device is first used,
production-related additives (e.g.
grease) may cause a small amount
of smoke and/or an odour to be
produced. This is normal and not
a device defect.
SETTING UP THE DEVICE
Please Note!
■Do not place the device below kitchen
wall units or similar cupboards. The
rising steam could cause damage to
them!
■The device may only be operated in a
horizontal position, never on its side
or tilted.
Always set up the closed device with a
clear space at the sides (at least 20cm)
and clear space above it (at least 30cm)
on a flat, solid and heat-resistant surface.
USE
Please Note!
■The device must not be left unat-
tended during operation!
■It should always be possible to close
the device without applying much
force. Do not open or close it with
force!
■In the interest of your own safety,
inspect the device and the connecting
cable for damage each time before
you use it. Use the device only if it is
in working order.
 Although the grill plates (3, 4)
have a non-stick coating, we
still recommend that you lightly
grease them. Do not use any
cooking spray as it can attack the
non-stick coating!
1. Fully unwind the connecting cable
and connect the device to a plug
socket. Make sure that the connecting
cable is not jammed between the grill
plates. Both the operating lamp(5)
and the heating lamp(7) light up.
When the heating lamp goes out,
the device has reached operating
temperature.

2. Place the sandwiches on the bottom
grill plate in the moulds which are
provided for them.
3. Flip the device shut and close the
locking catch (6).
4. Keep the device closed for a few
minutes.
 When the heating lamp goes out
and lights up again, this means
that the device is pausing the
heating process. This maintains a
constant temperature.
5. Remove the food when it has reached
the level of cooking and browning
that you want. Please Note: Use only
heat-resistant wooden or plastic uten-
sils to remove the food.
6. After the device has been used,
disconnect it from the mains power
and allow it to cool before it is
cleaned.
TIPS AND TRICKS
• There are no limits to your imagina-
tion on the filling: you can choose
what you want from ham and cheese
or pizza sauce and mozzarella to
fillings containing fruit.
• To obtain a result with more flavour,
spread a little butter or margarine on
the outsides of the slices of toast.
• For sweet sandwiches, e.g. with a fruit
filling, a little sugar can be sprinkled
on the outsides of the slices of toast
to obtain an extra-crispy final result.
CLEANING AND STORAGE
Please Note!
■The device is not dishwasher-safe.
■Never spray cold water onto the grill
plates during or immediately after
use. This could damage the non-stick
coating!
■Do not use any sharp or abrasive
cleaning agents or cleaning pads to
clean the device. These may damage
the surfaces.
Clean the device immediately after every
use to prevent the formation of germs.
Do not allow any food residues to dry on.
1. Make sure that the device has com-
pletely cooled down and has been
disconnected from the mains power!
2. Remove any food residues from the
grill plates (3, 4).
3. Clean the grill plates with a wet
sponge and a little mild detergent.
4. Wipe down the housing with a damp
cloth.
5. Then dry off the device with a soft
cloth.
6. Close the device and fix it with the
locking catch (6).
7. Store the device in a dry, clean, frost-
free place that cannot be accessed by
children or animals.

TROUBLESHOOTING
If the device does not work properly,
check whether you are able to rectify the
problem yourself. If the problem cannot
be solved with the steps below, contact
the customer service department.
Do not attempt to repair an elec-
trical device yourself!
The device does not work. The oper-
ating lamp(5) does not light up.
The mains plug is not inserted in the plug
socket correctly.
►Correct the fit of the mains plug.
The plug socket is defective.
►Try another plug socket.
There is no mains voltage.
►Check the fuse of the mains
connection.
The fuse in the fuse box is triggered.
Too many devices connected to the same
circuit.
►Reduce the number of devices in the
circuit.
The heat control lamp(7) does not
light up.
The device has reached operating
temperature.
►Start preparing the sandwiches.
During use, an unpleasant smell is
detected.
The device is being used for the first time.
►A smell often develops when new de-
vices are first used. The smell should
disappear once the device has been
used several times.
The device is dirty.
►Clean the device.

■L’appareil est destiné à faire griller des
sandwichs.
■Cet appareil est conçu uniquement
pour un usage domestique. Il n’est
pas approprié à un usage profession-
nel ou assimilé, comme par ex. dans
les hôtels, les pensions avec petit-dé-
jeuner, les bureaux, les cuisines desti-
nées aux collaborateurs, etc.
■Utiliser cet appareil uniquement dans
le but indiqué et tel que stipulé dans
le présent mode d’emploi. Toute autre
utilisation est considérée comme non
conforme.
■Tout défaut imputable à une utilisa-
tion non conforme, à une détériora-
tion ou à des tentatives de réparation

c’est au fabricant, au service après-vente ou à toute personne
aux qualifications similaires (par ex. un atelier spécialisé) qu’il
revient de les remplacer afin d’éviter tout danger.
■Il est essentiel d’observer les consignes de nettoyage données
au paragraphe «Nettoyage et rangement».
DANGER – Risque d’électro-
cution
■Utiliser l’appareil uniquement à
l’intérieur.
■Ne pas utiliser l’appareil dans des
pièces à fort taux d’humidité.
■Ne jamais plonger l’appareil et le
cordon de raccordement dans l’eau
ou tout autre liquide et s’assurer que
ces composants ne risquent pas de
tomber dans l’eau ou d’être mouillés.
■Si l’appareil devait tomber à l’eau,
couper immédiatement l’alimentation
électrique. Ne pas essayer d’extraire
l’appareil de l’eau tant qu’il est encore
raccordé au réseau électrique!
■Ne jamais saisir l’appareil ni le cordon
de raccordement avec les mains hu-
mides lorsque l’appareil est raccordé
au réseau électrique.
AVERTISSEMENT – Risque

■Ne pas brancher l’appareil avec
d’autres consommateurs (puissants)
sur une multiprise afin d’éviter toute
surcharge, voire un court-circuit
(incendie).
■Ne pas utiliser l’appareil avec une
rallonge électrique.
■Ne pas utiliser l’appareil à proximité
de matériaux inflammables. Ne pas
mettre de matières inflammables ou
fondant facilement (par ex. du carton,
du papier, du bois ou du plastique) à
l’intérieur de l’appareil, et ne pas non
plus en poser dessus.
■Afin d’éviter tout risque d’incendie
de l’appareil, ne pas le couvrir lors-
qu’il est en cours de fonctionnement.
Veiller à une ventilation suffisante du-
rant le fonctionnement de l’appareil.
■Ne pas utiliser l’appareil comme
moyen de chauffage.
■En cas d’incendie: ne pas éteindre
avec de l’eau! Étouffer les flammes
à l’aide d’une couverture ignifuge ou
d’un extincteur approprié.
AVERTISSEMENT – Risque de

■Ne pas laisser les emballages à la
portée des enfants et des animaux.
Risque de suffocation!
■S’assurer de toujours tenir le cordon
de raccordement hors de portée des
jeunes enfants et des animaux. Risque
de strangulation!
■Pendant le fonctionnement de l’appa-
reil, de la vapeur brûlante est suscep-
tible de s’en échapper. Tenir de ce
fait la tête et les mains éloignées de
la zone de danger. Risque de brûlures
dues à la chaleur et la vapeur!

■La plaque de cuisson de l’appareil
devient très chaude. Observer la plus
grande prudence au moment du dé-
pôt ou du prélèvement des aliments.
Si nécessaire, utiliser une pince de
cuisine en matière plastique ou en
bois pour ces manipulations. Risque
de brûlure!
■Il est interdit de déplacer l’appareil
lorsqu’il est en cours de fonctionne-
ment. Risque de brûlure!
■Veiller à ce que le cordon de raccor-
dement ne se trouve pas sur le pas-
sage de personnes, celles-ci risquant
sinon de trébucher. Le cordon de
raccordement ne doit pas pendre de
la surface d’appui pour ne pas risquer
d’entraîner l’appareil et de le faire
tomber.
AVIS – Risque de dégâts matériels
■Brancher l’appareil uniquement sur
une prise de courant correctement
installée et mise à la terre, et dont les
caractéristiques techniques corres-
pondent à celles de l’appareil. La
prise doit rester facilement accessible
même après le branchement de sorte
à pouvoir couper rapidement l’alimen-
tation de l’appareil.
■Veiller à ce que le cordon de raccor-
dement ne soit ni pincé, ni coincé,
ni posé sur des bords saillants et
qu’il n’entre pas en contact avec des
surfaces chaudes (ceci vaut égale-
ment pour les surfaces chaudes de
l’appareil!).
■Pour poser et prélever les aliments,
exclusivement utiliser des ustensiles
résistant à la chaleur. Veiller à ce
qu’aucun objet métallique ni d’autre
objet aux arêtes vives ne se trouve à
proximité de l’appareil. De tels objets
risqueraient d’endommager le revê-
tement anti-adhésif des plaques de
cuisson du gril. Nous recommandons
d’utiliser des ustensiles de cuisine
en bois ou en plastique résistant à la
chaleur.
■Arrêter l’appareil et débrancher la
fiche du secteur si un dysfonctionne-
ment survient en cours d’utilisation,
en cas de panne de courant ou avant
un orage.
■Ne jamais tirer ni porter l’appareil par
son cordon de raccordement.
■Pour débrancher l’appareil, toujours
tirer sur la fiche, jamais sur le cordon
d’alimentation!
■Veiller à ce que l’appareil ne soit pas
soumis à des chocs; le maintenir
éloigné de toute source de chaleur ou
flamme, ne pas l’exposer à des tem-
pératures négatives ni trop longtemps
à l’humidité et ne pas le mouiller.
■Utiliser uniquement des accessoires
d’origine du fabricant pour ne pas
entraver le bon fonctionnement de
l’appareil et éviter tout éventuel
dommage.
AVANT LA PREMIÈRE
UTILISATION
Des résidus de production peuvent en-
core adhérer à l’appareil. Pour éviter tout
risque pour la santé, soigneusement net-
toyer l’appareil avant la première utilisa-
tion et le laisser ensuite préchauffer pen-
dant quelques minutes. Suivre à cet effet
les instructions figurant aux paragraphes
«Nettoyage et rangement», «Mise en
place de l’appareil» et «Utilisation».
 Lors de la première mise en
service, il peut se dégager une
légère fumée et/ou une odeur
dues à des additifs propres au
processus de fabrication (parex.
de la graisse). Ceci est normal et
ne signifie pas que l’appareil est
défectueux.
