General Instructions
BEFORE YOU START PLEASE READ INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY
- Check the pack and make sure you have all the parts listed.
- When you are ready to start, make sure you have the right tools at hand (not supplied)
including a Phillips screwdriver, Stanley knife, wood saw, step ladder and drill with 2mm
bit.
- Ensure there is plenty of space and a clean dry area for assembly.
TIMBER
As with all natural materials, timber can be aected during various weather conditions.
For the duration of heavy or extended periods of rain, swelling of the wood panels may
occur. Warping of the wood may also occur during excessive dry spells due to an interior
moisture loss. Unfortunately, these processes cannot be avoided but can be helped. It is
suggested that the outdoor building is sprayed with water during extended periods of
warm sunshine and sheltered as much as possible during rain or snow.
Our buildings are pre treated with a water based treatment**; this only helps to protect
the product during transit and for upto 3 months against mould. To validate your
guarantee and ensure longevity of the product, it is ESSENTIAL the building is treated
with a wood preserver within the rst three months of assembly and thereafter in
accordance with the manufactures recommendations. Care must be taken to ensure
the product is placed on a suitable base.
BUILDING A BASE
When thinking about where the building and base is going to be constructed:
Ensure that there will be access to all sides for maintenance work and annual
treatment.
Ensure the base is level and is built on rm ground, to prevent distortion. Refer to
diagrams for the base dimensions, The base should be slightly smaller than the external
measurement of the building, i.e. The cladding should overlap the base, creating a run
o for water. It is also recommended that the oor be at least 25mm above the
surrounding ground level to avoid ooding.
TYPES OF BASE
- Concrete 75mm laid on top of 75mm hard-core.
- Slabs laid on 50mm of sharp sand.
Whilst all products manufactured are made to the highest standards of Safety and in
the case of childrens products independently tested to EN71 level, we cannot accept
responsibility for your safety whilst erecting or using this product.

Pressure Treated Timber
Pressure treating is a chemical process which helps to protect wood against adverse weather which could
lead to rot or insect damage.
The most common chemicals used to pressure treat wood are Alkaline Copper Quaternary (ACQ),
Copper Azole (CA), and Micronized Copper Quaternary (MCQ).
Safety: Always wear gloves, eye protection and a dust mask when handling wood. Due to chemicals in
pressure treated wood, never burn its sawdust or scraps; instead dispose in a landll.

Step 1
Place the oor on a rm and level base,
ensure the base has suitable drainage free
from areas where standing water can collect.
See the front page for base requirments.
Fix the two oor panels together using
10x50mm screws alternating sides as shown
in the diagram.

Do not secure the building to the
oor until the roof is tted.

Place one of the back panels and
plain gables on the oor and x the
corners with 3x50mm screws as
shown in diagram.
Position the panels so there is equal
spacing between the oor and
cladding on all 4 sides

Step 5
Position the two parts of the ridge bar
within the U channel and secure from
either side with 3 x 30mm screws and 4 x
30mm screws from underneath.
Place the constructed ridge bar in
between the two gables. Ensure the top
corners of the ridge bar sit ush with the
top points of the gable. Fix the ridge bar
to the gable using one L bracket for each
end. Fix with 4x20mm screws each.

Step 6
Position a truss frame to the ridge bar
sloping down towards the building front,
ensure it is central to the middle upright
of the panel. Fix with 1x50mm screw
through the ridge bar into the truss
frame.
Align the second truss frame with the
rst on the opposite side of the ridge bar
and x with 1x50mm screw at an angle
as illustrated.

Step 7
Fix the support block to the side panel
framing with 2 x 50mm screws. Position
the block at the top of the framing with
the angle pointing upwards into the
building, aligning the block centrally
along the join between the side panels
with one screw in each panel.
Fix the support bar to the block using
1x50mm screw.

Fix a Truss support between the two truss
frames and x in place using 40mm
screws, ensure you pre-drill holes before
xing together.

Repeat steps 5,6 and 7 for the two
remaining truss, supports and
blocks. Ensure they are evenly
spaced between the centre truss
and plain gables.

Place a roof sheets ontop of the plain
gable and truss making sure the roof
sheet sits ush to the outside edge of
the plain gable and x using 30mm
screws. Before xing the roof sheet to
the truss frame make sure the edge of
the roof sheet sits in the middle of
the truss frame then x.

Step 11
Repeat step 10 for the four
remaining roof panels. Ensure they
sit ush to the centre truss and plain
gables.

Once the roof os attached the
panels can be xed to the oor
panel using 4x50mm screws per
panel.

Cut out three strips of 3128mm felt and
place onto the roof.
Place the felt at onto the roof in the
order that is stated on the diagram
below.
Once the sheets are laid out x them
onto the roof with tacks aprox
100mm apart.

Fit the cover trims to the front back
and sides of the building using
3x30mm screws per cover trim.
Ensure the front and back cover
trims are tted centrally in order to
cover the joint between panels.

Attach the facias to the roof leaving a
slight overhang at the top.
Fit the facias to the roof over the felt
and secure in place with 40mm
screws as shown.

Use 4x30mm screws to x each
beading strip onto the door panel.
Ensure that the screw is parallel with
the door frame when xing the strip
to the door panel as shown in the
diagram.
Line up the door block as shown. Fix
with 2x30mm screws by screwing
through the outside of the door and
into the door block.

Step 18
Fix the pad bolt with 6x30mm screws
to the horizontal brace of the door.
Then x the pad bolt retainer to the
door panel framing using 4x30mm
screws.
Fix each tunr button using 1x30mm
black screw. These turn buttons
help to keep your doors straight
during high and low levels of
moisture conten in the air.
