RGBHV SWITCHER by Milestone is a device that hel s erson/s
to share com uters (or la to s) with single rojector and single
monitor, roviding simultaneous dis lays. Also it can be used as
com onent video or com osite video switcher.

OPERATION

A. MANUAL MODE
Kee slide-switch to manual osition
Local Keypad
Select the required channel from the front anel key ad.
Remote contact closure/ remote keypad
Rear anel has a D9 male connector, o erational at a
distance of 50 meters. Milestone’s remote key ad or any
other remote contact closure can be connected at this
connector.
The connector diagram for D9 male connector is as follows:

Note 1:To select any channel, short res ective in to
ground i.e. in no. 9 through contact switch or use
Milestone’s remote key ad.

Remote RS232 interface
D9 female connector from rear anel is used for selecting
the switcher through RS232C Interface.
The in configurations are

Communication arameters are 9600 baud, no arity, 8-bit and
1 sto bit.
Whenever any channel is selected there well be a feedback from
the switcher on RS232 ort i.e. when channel 1 is selected,
switcher will send 1! on the serial ort in no. 2. Similarly 2!
for channel 2 and so on.
B. SCAN MODE OPTIONAL)
For scanning mode, kee slide-switch in scan osition.
Scanning time for each channel is 5 seconds.
Scan mode o erates in two ways: -
Scanning for the activated PCs or laptops only : -
In this mode, scanning will be done for activated PCs
only.

Scanning of all the PCs or laptops regardless of the
activated PCs:-

Short all the ins of D9 in connector (using another D9
Female Connector i.e.1 to 9 ins) at the rear anel. In
this mode scanning of all PCs is done regardless of the
PCs are ON or OFF.
C. AUTO MODE
For Auto mode, kee slide-switch in Auto osition.
Auto mode works on riority basis. First riority is given to
Channel 1, 2nd riority to channel 2 and so on.
For exam le if Sync signal is detected on channel 2 and
channel 3 simultaneously, only channel 2 will get selected
on riority basis. Channel 3 can be selected only when
channel 1 and channel 2 are deactivated.
