MobileArc™Quick Start Guide
Follow the steps below to set up your MobileArc Augmented Reality Welding System.
1Applymatching coloreddotsto mobile device
and welding gun.
2Conrm that all other MobileArc welding guns
within 100 meters are powered off. Turn on
welding gun that is to be congured.
3Charge mobile device by plugging charger into
mobile device and then into 120-volt receptacle.
Turn onmobile device by pressing and holding
the power button for approximately 2–3 seconds.

4Launch MobileArc applicationby pressing icon.
After selecting language and unit/standards, review
the EULA agreement and press ACCEPT to accept. 6Enteryour email address to receive your PIN
code email.
5SelectWiFi network and connect.
For networks
with password
protection, enter
password and
press VALIDATE.
For networks
with two-factor
authentication,
select internet
button to view
login page.
Enter required
login info to
log in. Return to
MobileArc app
and press
VALIDATE.
You will receive an email with your PIN code
at the address you provided. Note: All devices
activated with the same email address will have
the same PIN code.

7Pairwelding gun. Wait for welding gun to connect
to the MobileArc application, then press ACCEPT.
8Use touchscreento navigate through tutorial.
Navigation header provides quick access to various
content, while selecting NEXT cycles through
tutorial and selecting EXIT leaves tutorial.

9Access the Owner’s Manual by pressing MORE,
and then selecting OWNER’S MANUAL.

Gun mount. Orient mobile device so camera
has a clear view of nozzle and buttons are
accessible. Alignment can be ne-tuned in
the simulation mode by loosening the
adjustment nut.

Orient workpieces with sides ush and no fully
visible magnets. For butt joint, ensure workpiece is
oriented so magnets are on side closest to user.

Helmetmount. Mount mobile device to helmet
with device oriented according to dominant
welding hand (right hand up for right-handed
welding, left hand up for left-handed welding).

Read Owner’s Manual carefully before operating unit.
Two interactive viewing OPTIONS are available for
this system. Helmetmount (view is welderexclusive)
and gun mount (view can be shared).
