Please read this manual before operating the Slim Keychain DVR and
keep it handy.
The KCSlim is the perfect low profile recording device that you can
take with you almost anywhere. This look-alike keychain isn’t just for
drivers. Keep an eye on your family with this inconspicuous device.
Simply place this casual-looking device on the kitchen counter or
table with the lens pointed towards your purse and get ready to catch
them red-handed! The greedy culprit won’t be able to argue with
their image captured on 720*480 resolution video. All videos can be
stored on a MicroSD card ranging from 2GB –32GB. Good luck!

OPERATING THE SLIM KEYCHAIN DVR
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Allow the device to charge 4 –6 hours before
using.
HOW TO CHARGE THE DEVICE
1. Connect the keychain to your computer using the USB cable
The orange indicator light (might look yellow to some)
will continuously blink while charging
The indicator light will turn solid when fully charged
HOW TO TURN THE DEVICE ON AND OFF
1. Insert a MicroSD card
2. Press and hold the Power Button for 3 seconds
The orange (yellow) indicator light will turn on
oThe device is in standby mode
3. Press and hold the Power Button for 2 seconds
The indicator light will blink three times and then turn
off
oThe device is now turned off
HOW TO RECORD VIDEO
1. Insert a MicroSD card
2. Ensure the device is in standby mode
3. Press and hold the Camera Button for 2 seconds
The orange (yellow) indicator light will blink three
times and then turn off
oThe device is recording live video
4. Press and hold the Camera Button for 2 seconds
The indicator light will blink rapidly and then turn solid
oThe device is back in standby mode

HOW TO RECORD USING MOTION DETECTION
1. Insert a MicroSD card
2. Ensure the device is in standby mode
3. Press the Power Button once
The orange (yellow) indicator light will blink three
times and then turn off
oThe device is now in motion detection mode
When the camera detects motion, the indicator will
blink once and start recording
4. Press the Power Button once
The indicator light will turn solid
oThe device is back in standby mode
HOW TO TAKE PHOTOGRAPHS
1. Insert a MicroSD card
2. Ensure the device is in standby mode
3. Press the Camera Button once
The orange (yellow) indicator light will turn off for
about three seconds and then turn back on
oThe device has taken a photograph
HOW TO RESET THE TIME/DATE STAMP
1. Insert a MicroSD card
2. Connect the device to your computer using the USB cable
3. Open the “Removable Disk” drive
4. Open the text file “TAG”
5. Edit year-month-day to match the current date
6. Edit the time in military format to match the current time
7. Save the text file
8. Safely disconnect the device from your computer
RETRIEVE THE FILES TO YOUR PC
1. Plug the device into your PC using the USB cable
2. Locate “Removable Disk” inside the (My) Computer folder
AutoPlay Removable Disk > Open folder to view files
Or…
Go to Start > Computer > Removable Disk
3. Open the Removable Disk drive
4. Open the DCIM folder
5. Open the 100MEDIA folder to view videos
6. Open the PHOTO folder to view photos
7. Double click the file you want to view
VLC Player is recommended for watching videos
TROUBLESHOOTING
THE DEVICE WON’T TURN ON
Charge the device for at least 4 hours before the first use
Make sure the charging cable is securely inserted into the
device and into the power source
THE DEVICE ISN’T CHARGING
Replace the battery or charging cable
If you are charging via a wall power source, you may need to
charge via your PC. The AC adapter might be bad
THE INDICATOR LIGHT IS BLINKING AND THEN TURNING OFF
WHEN I TRY TO TURN ON THE KEYCHAIN
You need to insert a MicroSD card into the device
THE DEVICE HAS CRASHED
You need to reset the device
oPress the Power Button and Camera Button at the
same time
MY COMPUTER DOESN’T RECOGNIZE THE DEVICE
Unplug the device from your PC and reboot the device
Unplug the device from your PC and reboot your PC
Try using a different USB slot on your PC
Replace the USB cable
THE SOUND OR VIDEO IS UNCLEAR
The device needs charging
