Before installation
• This product is designed for the purpose of harmonic suppression when the branch box is not used as
professional equipment.
• Even when the branch box is not used as professional equipment, the use of this product is not necessary
when a single-phase outdoor unit supplies power to the branch box.
• Before installation, prepare an electric screwdriver.
2 Preparation

• Carefully read this section ‘Safety Precautions’, and securely install the optional parts.
• Be sure to observe the cautions described here: They include critical contents for safety.
• The following indications show the classications for danger, and possible consequences following incorrect handling.
Incorrect handling could lead to death or serious injury.
Incorrect handling could lead to injury or damage to house and household articles.
• After installation, perform a test run and make sure that there is no abnormality, and ask your customer to keep this
installation sheet with the installation manual at all times.
Also ask the customer to transfer these manuals to a new user if the user changes.
• If installed incorrectly by user, water leak, electric shock,
re, etc. could result.
Ask the dealer or specialist for installation.
• Incorrect installation could cause water leak, electric
shock, re, etc.
Carefully install the optional parts according to this
installation sheet.
• Improper parts could cause electric shock, re, water
leak, and injury caused by fall of the unit.
Use the provided parts and the specied parts for
installation.

• Improper connections and fastening could cause re.
•Insufcient capacity of the power supply and improper
electrical work could cause electric shock, re, etc.
Use the specied electric wires. Connect and fasten
the electric wires securely to the terminals so
external force on the wires will not apply on the
terminals.
Follow the installation manual when performing the
electrical work. Use the breaker with suitable voltage
rating and set up the dedicated circuit with it.
• Incomplete installation may result in electric shock and
re caused by dust, water, etc.
Mount the service panel or the electrical cover on
the unit securely.
• Failure to install an earth leakage breaker may result in
electric shock.
Install an earth leakage breaker.
• If the ammable gas should leak and accumulate
around the unit, explosion may result from it.
Do not install the unit where ammable gas may
exist or leak.
CAUTION
CAUTION
• Do not connect the ground wire to a gas pipe, a water
pipe, a lightning rod, or a telephone ground wire.
Improper grounding may cause electric shock.
Ground the unit correctly.

aRemoving the Electrical cover from the Branch box
Remove 3 screws.
b Removing the Under panel from the Branch box
Remove 4 screws.
cAttaching the insulation
Attach the Insulation 3 to the inside of
the Under panel of the Branch box that
was removed in b.
Note: The Insulation 3 is attached to cover
the points of the Self-drilling screws 2
that will be used to mount the Reactor box 1.

Before installation, make sure all the following accessories are included in this package.
5 Electrical works
j Wiring
Connect the lead wires according to the wiring diagram on the right.
k Securing the lead wires
Fix the lead wires with the Cable clamps of the Reactor box 1.
Fasten the 4 screws removed in i.
lAttaching the Reactor cover
To attach the Reactor cover, fasten the 4 screws removed in h
at the positions h.
Follow the installation standard shown in the picture below.

Reactor cover
When attaching the Reactor cover, hold it
in the direction of the arrow.
h Removing the Reactor cover
Remove 4 screws.
i Removing the Cable clamps
Remove 4 screws.
3 Mounting the Reactor box
d Attaching the Under panel to the Branch box
To attach the Under panel to the Branch box,
fasten the 2 screws removed in b at the positions d.
e Mounting the Reactor box 1
To attach the Reactor box 1 to the Under panel and
the Branch box, fasten the other 2 screws removed
in b at the positions e.
To secure the Reactor box 1, fasten the 2 Self-drilling screws 2
at the positions f.
g Attaching the Electrical cover to the Branch box
To attach the Electrical cover, fasten the 3 screws removed
in a at the positions g.

4 Installation
A should be 270 mm or more to facilitate the
maintenance work.
Note: Perform installation by following the
Installation manual 4 for the Branch box.

• Tighten the screws with a torque of 1.5 N•m.
• Use an electric screwdriver to fasten the
Self-drilling screws 2.
