These instructions should be read carefully and retained after installation by the end user for future reference
and maintenance.
These instructions should be used to aid installation of the following product:

SAFETY
•This product must be installed in accordance with the latest edition of the IEE Wiring Regulations
(BS7671) and current Building Regulations. If in any doubt, consult a qualified electrician
•Check the total load on the circuit (including when this product is fitted) does not exceed the rating of
the circuit cable, fuse or circuit breaker
•If this product is wall-mounted, the guidance in BS7671 must be followed regarding cables concealed
in walls
•If the plug is removed then the overcurrent protection offered by the plug must be reinstated by
terminating into a fused connection unit or similar, with a 13A fuse
•Please note the IP (Ingress Protection) rating of this product when deciding the location for installation
•Do not overload this accessory or subject it to conditions outside its rating
•This product is Class I and must be earthed
•This product is IP20 rated
INSTALLATION
Desk / worktop mounting
•Locate a suitable place to mount the product. The mounting surface should be at least 15mm thickness
•Cut a 323 x 65mm hole in the surface ensuring not to infringe with any gas/water pipes or electrical
cables
•Fix the brackets into the end of the hole (see Fig. 1) using the woodscrews provided

•Remove the cover plates from the front face of the product using a small flat screwdriver (see Fig. 2)

•Place the unit into the hole and attach to the brackets using the M4 screws provided
•Refit the cover plates
•Connect to mains power supply via the pre-wired cable and plug
•Switch on and check for correct operation
Wall mounting
•If wall-mounting into plasterboard, it may be necessary to fit a timber stud or batten behind the cut-out
to support the product, since plasterboard alone does not have sufficient strength
•Cut a suitable hole in the wall ensuring not to infringe with any joists, gas / water pipes or electrical
cables; the hole should be 323 x 65mm
