1 Safety instructions
1.1 General safety
azDo not operate the device if it is visibly damaged.
zEnsure that the ventilation slots are not covered.
zThis device may only be repaired by qualified personnel.
Inadequate repairs can lead to considerable hazards.
zDo not use electrical devices inside the cooler unless they are
recommended by the manufacturer for the purpose.
zPersons (including children) whose physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge prevents them
from using the appliance safely should not use this appliance
without initial supervision or instruction by a responsible person.
zElectronic devices are not toys.
Always keep and use the device out of the reach of children.
zChildren must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with
the device.
zFood may only be stored in its original packaging or in suitable
containers.

zThe cooling device is not suitable for transporting caustic
materials or materials containing solvents.
ezOnly connect the device as follows:
– With the 220-240 V connection cable supplied to a 220-
240 V mains power supply
– With the 12 V cable supplied to a 12 V socket
zDo not pull the plug out of the cigarette lighter or the socket by
the cable.
zIf the connection cable is damaged, it must be replaced with
the cable of the same type and specifications.
zPull out the connection cable:
– Before cleaning and maintenance
– After use
zOn boats: if the device is powered by the mains, ensure that the
power supply has a ground fault interrupter circuit. Danger of
fatal injuries!
zDisconnect the cooling device and other power consuming de-
vices from the battery before connecting the quick charging de-
vice.
zCheck that the voltage specification on the type plate corre-
sponds to that of the energy supply.
1.2 Operating the device safely
azBefore starting the device, ensure that the power supply cable
and the plug are dry.
zDo not place the device near naked flames or other heat sourc-
es (heaters, direct sunlight, gas ovens etc.)
zCaution! Danger of overheating!
Ensure at all times that there is sufficient ventilation so that the
heat that arises during operation does not build up. Make sure
that the device is sufficiently far away from walls and other ob-
jects so that the air can circulate.
zDo not fill the inner container with ice or fluid.
zNever immerse the device in water.
zProtect the device and the cable against heat and moisture.
zDo not touch exposed cables with your bare hands. This
especially applies when operating the device with an AC mains
power supply. Danger of fatal injuries!

zThe manufacturer cannot be held liable for damage resulting
from improper usage or incorrect operation.
2 Intended use
The cooler is suitable for cooling foodstuffs.
If your device has the additional equipment for warming, you can heat up
foodstuffs or keep them warm. There is a switch to change between heat-
ing and cooling modes.
The device has been designed for use with a 12 V DC on-board power supply
socket of a car (cigarette lighter), boat or caravan as well as a 220-240 V AC
mains supply.
The appliance may also be used for camping use. The appliance shall not to
be exposed to rain. It can be used as a box or cupboard.
aCaution!
If you wish to cool medicines, please check if the cooling capacity
of the device is suitable for the medicine in question.

4 Technical description
The cooler is suitable for mobile use. If can cool goods to max. 16 °C (S25)
or 20 °C (X25/X30) under the ambient temperature or keep them cool.
Its cooling system is a non-wearing and CFC-free Peltier cooling, the heat is
discharged by a fan.
S25
Pockets on the outside provide additional storage space. Note that objects
stored in them are not cooled.
4.1 Optional accessories
The device is available in different versions. The version you bought may
have the following additional features:
zHeating
The contents of your cooler can be warmed or kept warm to max. 65 °C.
zABS (activatable battery protection)
An integrated battery monitor can be switched on to protect your vehicle
battery from discharging to dangerously low levels (see “Using the bat-
tery monitor” chapter on page 11).
zInsulating lid
Insulating lid as an alternative to the unit lid for transporting (not for cool-
ing)

5Operation
INote
Before starting your new cooling device for the first time, you
should clean it inside and outside with a damp cloth for hygienic
reasons (please also refer to the “Cleaning and maintenance”
chapter on page 12).
5.1 Energy saving tips
zChoose a well ventilated installation location which is protected against di-
rect sunlight.
zAllow warm food to cool down first before placing it in the device to keep
cool.
zDo not open the cooling device more often than necessary.
zDo not leave the lid open for longer than necessary.
zClean the lid seal regularly.
5.2 Using the cooler
aCaution!
S25: Lift the cooler by the handle, not by the shoulder strap.
Otherwise you risk spillage.
aCaution!
The lid of the cooler must always be secured with the lock when
loading and unloading. If the lid is fully open without being secured,
the box could tip over.

If the handle is folded back of if the cooler is being carried, the lid
is locked. You can only open the lid when the handle is folded for-
wards.
INote
Like every cooling device, your cooler must be properly ventilated
so that any heat created can dissipate. Otherwise proper function-
ing cannot be ensured.
➤Place the cooler on a firm base.
➤Connect the 12 V connection cable (21, page 4) into the cigarette light-
er socket or a 12 V socket in the vehicle
or
➤Plug the 220-240 V connection cable (22, page 4) into the AC voltage
socket and connect it to the 220-240 V AC mains supply.
Switch off the battery monitor (32, page 4, ABS accessory) (OFF
position).
➤Only on versions with the additional heating feature: Push the switch
(33, page 4) on the control panel to "COLD" or "HOT" to switch on the
cooler.

Close the box tightly by pushing down the lid.
✓The indicators on the control panel show you the operating mode:

aCaution!
Ensure that the objects placed in the cooler are suitable for cooling
to the selected temperature.
➤If you wish to switch the cooler off:
– Slide the switch (43, page 4) to the “OFF” position (only with the
heating accessory)
– Pull out the connection cable

5.3 Using the battery monitor
(Only on versions with the additional ABS feature)
aCaution!
If you operate your cooler with the 220-240 V AC mains supply,
switch off the battery monitor.
➤Push the switch (32, page 4) on the operating panel to “ON” to switch
on the battery monitor.
✓The red LED (31, page 4) on the operating panel displays the status of
the battery monitor:
➤Push the switch (32, page 4) on the operating panel to “OFF” to switch
off the battery monitor.
5.4 Changing the lid
(Only on versions with the additional insulating lid feature)
As an alternative to the unit lid, you can use an insulating lid when transport-
ing the cooler.
➤Fold the handle of the cooler forwards.
➤Open the lid until it is vertical and then remove it by lifting it upwards.
➤Place the insulating lid with the guide lugs into the slots on the cooler.
INote
Remember that the lid is only suitable for keeping cool and not for
active cooling.
5.5 Connecting to a cigarette lighter
INote
If you connect the device to the cigarette lighter of your vehicle, re-
member that the ignition must be turned on to supply the device
with power.

LED flashes The switch-off voltage (11.7 V ± 0.2 V) has been
reached and the battery monitor has switched off
the cooler.

6 Cleaning and maintenance
eCaution!
Before cleaning the cooler, pull the cable out of the socket or the
cigarette lighter.
aCaution!
Do not clean the cooler under running water or in dishwater.
aCaution!
Do not use abrasive cleaning agents or hard objects during clean-
ing as these can damage the cooler.
➤Occasionally clean the device interior and exterior with a damp cloth.
7 Troubleshooting

➤Place the packaging material in the appropriate recycling waste bins
wherever possible.
If you wish to finally dispose of the device, ask your local recycling
centre or specialist dealer for details about how to do this in accord-
ance with the applicable disposal regulations.

zDas Kühlgerät ist nicht geeignet für den Transport ätzender
oder lösungsmittelhaltiger Stoffe!
ezSchließen Sie das Gerät nur wie folgt an:
– mit dem im Lieferumfang enthaltenen 220–240-V-An-
schlusskabel an das 220-240-V-Wechselstromnetz
– mit dem im Lieferumfang enthaltenen 12-V-Anschlusskabel
an eine 12-V-Steckdose
zZiehen Sie den Stecker nie am Anschlusskabel aus dem
Zigarettenanzünder oder der Steckdose.
zWenn das Anschlusskabel dieses Gerätes beschädigt wird,
muss es durch den Hersteller, seinen Kundendienst oder eine
ähnlich qualifizierte Person ersetzt werden, um Gefährdungen
zu vermeiden.
zZiehen Sie das Anschlusskabel
– vor jeder Reinigung und Pflege
– nach jedem Gebrauch
zBei Booten: Sorgen Sie bei Netzbetrieb unbedingt dafür, daß
Ihre Stromversorgung über einen FI-Schalter abgesichert ist!

1.2 Sicherheit beim Betrieb des Gerätes
azAchten Sie vor der Inbetriebnahme darauf, dass Zuleitung und
Stecker trocken sind.
zStellen Sie das Gerät nicht in der Nähe von offenen Flammen
oder anderen Wärmequellen (Heizung, starke Sonneneinstrah-
lung, Gasöfen usw.) ab.

zAchtung Überhitzungsgefahr!
Achten Sie stets darauf, dass beim Betrieb entstehende Wärme
ausreichend abgeführt werden kann. Sorgen Sie dafür, dass
das Gerät in ausreichendem Abstand zu Wänden oder Gegen-
ständen steht, sodass die Luft zirkulieren kann.
zFüllen Sie keine Flüssigkeiten oder Eis in den Innenbehälter.
zTauchen Sie das Gerät nie in Wasser.
zSchützen Sie das Gerät und die Kabel vor Hitze und Nässe.
zFassen Sie nie mit bloßen Händen an blanke Leitungen. Dies
gilt vor allem beim Betrieb am Wechselstromnetz: Lebens-
gefahr!
zDer Hersteller haftet nicht für Schäden, die durch nicht
bestimmungsgemäßen Gebrauch oder falsche Bedienung
verursacht werden.
2 Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch
Das Kühlgerät eignet sich zum Kühlen von Lebensmitteln.
Wenn Ihr Gerät mit der Zusatzausstattung „Wärmen“ versehen ist, lassen
sich Lebensmittel auch wärmen bzw. warmhalten. Mit einem Schalter
kann zwischen dem Heizbetrieb und dem Kühlbetrieb gewechselt werden.
Das Gerät ist für den Betrieb an einer 12-V-DC-Bordnetzsteckdose eines
Autos (Zigarettenanzünder), Boots oder Wohnmobils sowie an einem 220–
240-V-Wechselstromnetz ausgelegt.
Das Gerät ist auch für Camping-Zwecke geeignet. Das Gerät darf keinem
Regen ausgesetzt werden.
aAchtung!
Falls Sie Medikamente kühlen wollen, überprüfen Sie bitte, ob die
Kühlleistung des Gerätes den Anforderungen der jeweiligen Arz-
neimittel entspricht.

Bei Geräte-Ausführungen mit der Zusatzausstattung „Isolierdeckel“
zusätzlich:
4 Technische Beschreibung
Die Kühlbox ist für den mobilen Einsatz geeignet. Sie kann Waren bis max.
16 °C (S25) bzw. 20 °C (X25/X30) unter Umgebungstemperatur abkühlen
bzw. kühl halten.
Die Kühlung ist eine verschleiß- und FCKW-freie Peltierkühlung mit Wärme-
abfuhr durch einen Lüfter.

Zusätzliche Taschen außen dienen als weitere Staumöglichkeit. Beachten
Sie, dass hierin aufbewahrte Gegenstände nicht gekühlt werden.

4.1 Mögliche Zusatzausstattung
Dieses Gerät ist in verschiedenen Ausführungen erhältlich. Die von Ihnen
erworbene Ausführung kann daher folgende Zusatzausstattungen haben:
zWärmen
Der Inhalt Ihrer Kühlbox kann auf max. 65 °C erwärmt bzw. warm
gehalten werden.
zABS (aktivierbarer Batterieschutz)
Ein im Gerät integrierter zuschaltbarer Batteriewächter schützt Ihre Fahr-
zeugbatterie vor zu tiefer Entladung (siehe Kapitel „Batteriewächter ver-
wenden“ auf Seite 21).
zIsolierdeckel
Isolierdeckel als Transportalternative zum Aggregatdeckel (nicht zur
Kühlung)

5 Bedienung
IHinweis
Bevor Sie das neue Kühlgerät in Betrieb nehmen, sollten Sie es
aus hygienischen Gründen innen und außen mit einem feuchten
Tuch reinigen (siehe auch Kapitel „Reinigung und Pflege“ auf
Seite 22).
5.1 Tipps zum Energiesparen
zWählen Sie einen gut belüfteten und vor Sonnenstrahlen geschützten
Einsatzort.
zLassen Sie warme Speisen erst abkühlen, bevor Sie sie im Gerät kühl
halten.
zÖffnen Sie das Kühlgerät nicht häufiger als nötig!
zLassen Sie den Deckel nicht länger offen stehen als nötig!
zReinigen Sie regelmäßig die Deckeldichtung.
5.2 Kühlbox verwenden

S25: Heben Sie Kühlbox nur mit Hilfe des Griffs und nicht mit dem
Schultergurt an. Kippgefahr!

Der Deckel der Kühlbox muss beim Be- und Entladen immer mit
der Arretierung gesichert werden. Wird der Deckel ohne Sicherung
komplett geöffnet, so kann die Box umstürzen.
IHinweis
Wenn der Griff nach hinten umgelegt ist oder die Kühlbox getragen
wird, ist der Deckel verschlossen. Sie können den Deckel nur öff-
nen, wenn der Griff nach vorne umgelegt ist.
IHinweis
Wie jedes Kühlgerät muss Ihre Kühlbox einwandfrei belüftet sein,
damit die entzogene Wärme abgeführt werden kann, andernfalls ist
eine ordnungsgemäße Funktion nicht gewährleistet.
➤Stellen Sie die Kühlbox auf eine feste Unterlage.

➤Schließen Sie das 12-V-Anschlusskabel (21, Seite 4) an den
Zigarettenanzünder oder eine 12-V-Steckdose im Fahrzeug an.

➤Stecken Sie das 220–240-V-Anschlusskabel (22, Seite 4) in die
Wechselspannungs-Buchse und schließen Sie es an das 220–240-V-
Wechselstromnetz an.
Schalten Sie den Batteriewächter (32, Seite 4, Zusatzausstattung
„ABS“) aus (Position „OFF“).
➤Nur bei Geräte-Ausführungen mit Zusatzausstattung „Wärmen“:
Schieben Sie den Schalter (43, Seite 4) am Bedienpanel in die Position
„COLD“ (Kühlen) oder auf „HOT“ (Wärmen), um die Kühlbox einzu-
schalten.
IHinweis
Verschließen Sie die Box fest, indem Sie den Deckel wieder zu-
klappen.
✓Die Betriebsanzeigen auf dem Bedienpanel zeigen Ihnen den Betriebs-
modus an:
✓Die Kühlbox startet mit dem Kühlen bzw. Aufwärmen des Innenraums.
aAchtung!
Achten Sie darauf, dass sich nur Gegenstände bzw. Waren in der
Kühlbox befinden, die auf die gewählte Temperatur gekühlt werden
dürfen.
➤Wenn Sie die Kühlbox außer Betrieb nehmen,
– bringen Sie den Schalter (43, Seite 4) in die Position „OFF“ (nur
Zusatzausstattung „Wärmen“),
– ziehen Sie das Anschlusskabel ab.
