2 Safety instructions
2.1 General safety
DDANGER!
On boats: If the appliance is powered by the mains, ensure that
the power supply has a residual current circuit breaker.
!WARNING!
Do not operate the device if it is visibly damaged.
If this device's power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by
the manufacturer, customer service or a similarly qualified
person in order to prevent safety hazards.
This device may only be repaired by qualified personnel.
Improper repairs can lead to considerable hazards.
This device can be used by children aged 8 years or over, as
well as by persons with diminished physical, sensory or mental
capacities or a lack of experience and/or knowledge, providing
they are supervised or have been taught how to use the device
safely and are aware of the resulting risks.
Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by
children without supervision.
Children must not play with the device.
Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with
the device.
Always keep and use the device out of the reach of children
under the age of 8 years.
Do not store any explosive substances such as spray cans with
a flammable propellant in the device.

ANOTICE!
Check that the voltage specification on the type plate
corresponds to that of the energy supply.
Only connect the device as follows:
– With the DC cable to a DC plug socket in the vehicle (e. g.
cigarette lighter)
– Or with the 230 V connection cable to the 230 V AC mains
supply
Never pull the plug out of the socket by the cable.
If the cooler is connected to the DC socket: Disconnect the
cooler and other power consuming devices from the battery
before connecting the quick charging device.
If the cooler is connected to the DC socket: Disconnect the
cooler or switch it off when you turn off the engine. Otherwise
you may discharge the battery.
The cooling device is not suitable for transporting caustic
materials or materials containing solvents.
The cooling device contains inflammable cyclopentane in the
insulation. The gases in the insulation material require special
disposal procedures. Deliver the device at the end of its life-
cycle to an appropriate recycling.
2.2 Operating the device safely
DDANGER!
Do not touch exposed cables with your bare hands. This
especially applies when operating the device with an AC mains
power supply.
!CAUTION!
Before starting the device, ensure that the power supply line
and the plug are dry.
ANOTICE!
Do not use electrical devices inside the cooler unless they are
recommended by the manufacturer for the purpose.
Do not place the device near naked flames or other heat
sources (heaters, direct sunlight, gas ovens etc.).

Danger of overheating!
Ensure at all times that there is sufficient ventilation so that the
heat that arises during operation does not build up. Make sure
that the device is sufficiently far away from walls and other
objects so that the air can circulate.
Ensure that the ventilation openings are not covered.
Do not fill the inner container with ice or fluid.
Never immerse the device in water.
Protect the device and the cable against heat and moisture.
3 Intended use
The cooling device is suitable for cooling foodstuffs.
The cooling device is intended to be used in household and similar
applications such as
staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments
farm houses
clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments
bed and breakfast type environments
catering and similar non-retail applications
The device is also able to heat using the additional heating feature.
The device is designed for use with:
a DC vehicle electrics socket of a car (such as a cigarette lighter), boat or
caravan (see voltage specification on the type plate)
a 230 V AC mains supply
The appliance may also be used for camping use. The appliance must not to
be exposed to rain.
!CAUTION! Health hazard!
Please check if the cooling capacity of the device is suitable for
storing the food or medicine you wish to cool.

4 Accessories
Available as accessory (not included in scope of delivery):
5 Technical description
The cooler is portable. It can cool items and keep them cool or heat items and
keep them warm (with the additional heating feature) to max. 65 °C.
Its cooling system is a non-wearing Peltier cooling, the heat is discharged by
a fan.
When the cooler is connected to a 230 V AC mains supply, it can be used in
two different operating modes:
ECO mode: the cooler consumes less energy
MAX mode: the cooler reaches maximum cooling capacity
The desired cooling capacity is selected with the cooling capacity control:
➤To increase the cooling capacity, turn the cooling capacity control clock-
wise.
For the maximum cooling capacity turn the cooling capacity control
clockwise all the way to the stop (max position).
➤To decrease the cooling capacity, turn the cooling capacity control
counterclockwise.
To turn off the cooler, turn the cooling capacity control counterclockwise
all the way to the stop (off position).
When the cooler is connected to the DC socket, the cooling capacity cannot
be adjusted. In this case the cooler cools maximal.

5.1 Optional accessories
The device is available in different versions. The version you bought may
have the following additional features:
Heating
The contents of your cooler can be warmed or kept warm to max. 65 °C.
ABS (activatable battery protection)
An integrated battery monitor can be switched on to protect your vehicle
battery from discharging to dangerously low levels.
Insulating lid
The lightweight insulating lid can be used as an alternative to the unit lid
when transporting. Make sure that the insulating lid does not cool.
Bottle hatch
A single drinks bottle can be removed via the bottle hatch.
Additional pockets
Pockets on the outside provide additional storage space. Note that
objects stored in them are not cooled.

Food may only be stored in its original packaging or in suitable
containers.
NOTICE! Risk of damage
Ensure that all objects placed in the cooler are suitable for
cooling or heating (with the additional heating feature) to the
selected temperature.
Ensure that food or liquids in glass containers are not
excessively refrigerated. Drinks or liquid foods expand when
they freeze and can therefore destroy the glass containers.
Ensure that your cooler is well ventilated so that any heat
created can dissipate. Otherwise proper functioning cannot be
ensured. It is especially important not to cover the air vents.

6.1 Energy saving tips
Choose a well ventilated installation location which is protected against
direct sunlight.
If you want to set an increased energy efficiency and a limited cooling
capacity for the cooler device, use the device’s ECO mode.
Allow warm food to cool down first before placing it in the cooling device
to keep cool.
Do not open the cooling device more often than necessary.
Do not leave the cooler device open for longer than necessary.
Remove individual drinks bottles through the bottle hatch, if present.
6.2 Using the cooler in DC mode
➤Place the cooler on a firm base.
➤Connect the DC cable to the cigarette lighter or the DC socket in the
vehicle.
NOTE
Before starting your new cooling device for the first time, you
should clean it inside and outside with a damp cloth for
hygienic reasons (please also refer to the chapter ).
A few water drops may form inside the cooler if it has been
cooling for a lengthy period. This is normal because the mois-
ture in the air condenses to water when the temperature in the
cooler falls. The cooler is not defective. Wipe it out with a dry
cloth if necessary.
NOTE For coolers with fold in handles
If the handle is folded back or if the cooler is being carried, the lid
is locked. You can only open the lid when the handle is folded
forwards.

Coolers without the additional heating feature
✓The cooler starts cooling the interior.
➤To switch off the cooler, disconnect the plug.
Coolers with the additional heating feature
➤Push the switch on the control panel to HOT or COLD to switch the cooler
on.
✓The indicators on the control panel show you the operating mode:
✓The cooler starts cooling/heating the interior.
➤To switch off the cooler,
– push the switch on the control panel from HOT or COLD to the OFF
position,
– disconnect the plug.
6.3 Using the cooler in AC mode
➤Place the cooler on a firm base.
➤Connect the 230 V connection cable to the AC mains.
➤Turn the cooling capacity control to the desired position.
➤For the additional ABS feature: Switch the battery monitor off (OFF
position).

✓The cooler starts cooling the interior.
➤To switch off the cooler, turn the cooling capacity control to the OFF
position.

➤Occasionally clean the device interior and exterior with a damp cloth.
➤Make sure that the air inlet and outlet vents on the device are free of any
dust and dirt, so that heat can be released and the device is not damaged.

the ignition must be turned on to supply it with power.
WARNING!
Always disconnect the device from the power supply before you
clean and service it.

Do not use abrasive cleaning agents or hard objects during
cleaning as these can damage the cooler.

➤Place the packaging material in the appropriate recycling waste bins
wherever possible.
MIf you wish to finally dispose of the product, ask your local recycling
centre or specialist dealer for details about how to do this in
accordance with the applicable disposal regulations.

2.1 Allgemeine Sicherheit

Bei Booten: Sorgen Sie bei Netzbetrieb unbedingt dafür, dass
Ihre Stromversorgung über einen FI-Schutzschalter abge-
sichert ist.
!WARNUNG!
Wenn das Kühlgerät sichtbare Beschädigungen aufweist,
dürfen Sie es nicht in Betrieb nehmen.
Wenn das Anschlusskabel dieses Kühlgerätes beschädigt wird,
muss es durch den Hersteller, seinen Kundendienst oder eine
ähnlich qualifizierte Person ersetzt werden, um Gefährdungen
zu vermeiden.
Reparaturen an diesem Kühlgerät dürfen nur von Fachkräften
durchgeführt werden. Durch unsachgemäße Reparaturen
können erhebliche Gefahren entstehen.
Dieses Kühlgerät kann von Kindern ab 8 Jahren und darüber

– oder mit dem Wechselstrom-Anschlusskabel an das
Wechselstromnetz
Ziehen Sie den Stecker nie am Anschlusskabel aus der Steck-
dose.
Wenn das Kühlgerät an der Gleichstrom-Steckdose ange-
schlossen ist: Klemmen Sie Ihr Kühlgerät und andere
Verbraucher von der Fahrzeugbatterie ab, bevor Sie ein
Schnellladegerät anschließen.
Wenn das Kühlgerät an der Gleichstrom-Steckdose ange-
schlossen ist: Trennen Sie die Verbindung oder schalten Sie
das Kühlgerät aus, wenn Sie den Motor ausschalten. Sonst
kann die Batterie entladen werden.
Das Kühlgerät ist nicht geeignet für den Transport ätzender
oder lösungsmittelhaltiger Stoffe.

Diese Kühlbox enthält in der Isolierung brennbares
Zyklopentan. Die Gase im Isolationsmaterial erfordern ein
besonderes Entsorgungsverfahren. Führen Sie das Kühlgerät
am Ende seiner Lebensdauer einer ordnungsgemäßen Entsor-
gung zu.
2.2 Sicherheit beim Betrieb des Kühlgerätes
DGEFAHR!
Fassen Sie nie mit bloßen Händen an blanke Leitungen. Dies
gilt vor allem beim Betrieb am Wechselstromnetz.
!VORSICHT!
Achten Sie vor der Inbetriebnahme darauf, dass Zuleitung und
Stecker trocken sind.
AACHTUNG!
Benutzen Sie keine elektrischen Kühlgeräte innerhalb des Kühl-
gerätes, außer wenn diese Kühlgeräte vom Hersteller dafür
empfohlen werden.
Stellen Sie das Kühlgerät nicht in der Nähe von offenen
Flammen oder anderen Wärmequellen (Heizung, starke
Sonneneinstrahlung, Gasöfen usw.) ab.
Überhitzungsgefahr!
Achten Sie stets darauf, dass beim Betrieb entstehende Wärme
ausreichend abgeführt werden kann. Sorgen Sie dafür, dass
das Kühlgerät in ausreichendem Abstand zu Wänden oder
Gegenständen steht, sodass die Luft zirkulieren kann.
Achten Sie darauf, dass die Lüftungsöffnungen nicht abgedeckt
werden.
Füllen Sie keine Flüssigkeiten oder Eis in den Innenbehälter.
Tauchen Sie das Kühlgerät nie in Wasser.
Schützen Sie das Kühlgerät und die Kabel vor Hitze und Nässe.

3 Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch
Das Kühlgerät eignet sich zum Kühlen von Lebensmitteln.
Das Kühlgerät ist für den Hausgebrauch und ähnliche Anwendungsbereiche
vorgesehen wie zum Beispiel
in Personalküchen von Läden, Büros und anderen Arbeitsbereichen
in der Landwirtschaft
von Gästen in Hotels, Motels oder anderen Unterkünften
in Frühstückspensionen
im Catering und ähnlichen Großhandelsanwendungen
Mit der Zusatzausstattung „Wärmen“ kann das Kühlgerät auch wärmen.
Das Kühlgerät ist ausgelegt für den Betrieb an:
einer Gleichstrom-Bordnetzsteckdose eines Autos (z. B. Zigarettenan-
zünder), Boots oder Wohnmobils (siehe Spannungsangabe auf dem
Typenschild)
an einem Wechselstromnetz
Das Kühlgerät ist auch für Camping-Zwecke geeignet. Das Kühlgerät darf
keinem Regen ausgesetzt werden.

5 Technische Beschreibung
Das Kühlgerät ist für den mobilen Einsatz geeignet. Es kann Waren abkühlen
bzw. kühl halten oder (bei Zusatzausstattung „Wärmen“) auf max. 65 °C
erwärmen bzw. warm halten.
Die Kühlung ist eine verschleißfreie Peltierkühlung mit Wärmeabfuhr durch
einen Lüfter.
Wenn das Kühlgerät an einem Wechselstromnetz angeschlossen ist, kann
es in zwei verschiedenen Betriebsarten verwendet werden:
ECO-Modus: das Kühlgerät verbraucht weniger Energie
MAX-Modus: das Kühlgerät erreicht die maximale Kühlleistung
Die gewünschte Kühlleistung wird mit dem Kühlleistungsregler eingestellt:
➤Um die Kühlleistung zu erhöhen, drehen Sie den Kühlleistungsregler im
Uhrzeigersinn.
Für die maximale Kühlleistung drehen Sie den Kühlleistungsregler bis

Wenn das Kühlgerät an der Gleichstrom-Steckdose angeschlossen ist, kann
die Kühlleistung nicht eingestellt werden. Das Kühlgerät kühlt dann maximal
herunter.

5.1 Mögliche Zusatzausstattung
Dieses Kühlgerät ist in verschiedenen Ausführungen erhältlich. Die von
Ihnen erworbene Ausführung kann daher folgende Zusatzausstattungen
haben:
Wärmen
Der Inhalt Ihres Kühlgerätes kann auf max. 65 °C erwärmt bzw. warm
gehalten werden.
ABS (aktivierbarer Batterieschutz)
Ein im Kühlgerät integrierter zuschaltbarer Batteriewächter schützt Ihre
Fahrzeugbatterie vor zu tiefer Entladung.
Isolierdeckel
Der leichtere Isolierdeckel kann als Transportalternative zum Aggregat-
deckel verwendet werden. Beachten Sie, dass der Isolierdeckel nicht
kühlt.
Flaschenluke
Eine einzelne Getränkeflasche kann über die Flaschenluke entnommen
werden.
Zusätzliche Taschen
Zusätzliche Taschen außen dienen als weitere Staumöglichkeit. Beach-
ten Sie, dass hierin aufbewahrte Gegenstände nicht gekühlt werden.
