1 Verwendungsmöglichkeiten
Der Lautsprecher UWS-100 eignet sich speziell für
den Betrieb unter Wasser bis max. 5 m Tiefe, z. B.
in einem Schwimmbecken. Durch seine Impedanz
von 8 Ω lässt er sich direkt an einen niederohmigen
Lautsprecherausgang eines Verstärkers anschlie-
ßen. Der Lautsprecher ist resistent gegen Chemi-
kalien, die im Schwimmbecken üblicherweise ein-
gesetzt werden. Mit einer Belastbarkeit von 20 W
Sinus kann ein einzelner UWS-100 ein Wasservo-
lumen von ca. 25 m3ausreichend beschallen. Zur
Festinstallation sind vier Montagelöcher vorhan-
den und für den mobilen Einsatz vier Saugnäpfe.
2 Wichtige Hinweise für den Gebrauch
Der Lautsprecher entspricht allen erforderlichen
Richtlinien der EU und ist deshalb mit gekenn-
zeichnet.
GSchützen Sie den Lautsprecher vor Eis und Frost
(zulässiger Einsatztemperturbereich: 1 – 40 °C).
4 Elektrischer Anschluss
1) Der Verstärker zum Betrieb des UWS-100 sollte
möglichst 10 m vom Schwimmbecken entfernt
aufgestellt werden und muss unbedingt vor
Spritzwasser und Feuchtigkeit geschützt sein.
Vor dem Anschließen des Lautsprechers den
Verstärker ausschalten!
2) Den Lautsprecher mit dem Lautsprecheraus-
gang des Verstärkers verbinden. Beim An-
schluss von mehreren Lautsprechern darauf
achten, dass diese alle gleich gepolt werden
(z. B. blaue Ader = Minusanschluss) und dass
die Mindestlastimpedanz des Lautsprecheraus-
gangs am Verstärker nicht unterschritten wird.
Änderungen vorbehalten.
VORSICHT! Außerhalb des Wassers lässt sich der
abgestrahlte Schall schlecht wahrnehmen. Des-
halb kann der UWS-100 leicht durch eine zu hohe
am Verstärker eingestellte Lautstärke zerstört
werden. Es wird darum empfohlen, ein Lautspre-
cherschutzmodul (z. B. DSP-1 von MONACOR)
zwischenzuschalten, das auf die maximale Be-
lastbarkeit des UWS-100 eingestellt ist und vor
Überlastung schützt.
GWird der Lautsprecher zweckentfremdet, nicht
fachgerecht montiert, falsch angeschlossen
oder überlastet, kann keine Haftung für daraus
resultierende Sach- oder Personenschäden und
keine Garantie für den Lautsprecher übernom-
men werden.
3 Montage
Für einen Probebetrieb oder für den mobilen Ein-
satz den Lautsprecher mit den vier Saugnäpfen (d)
auf einer glatten Oberfläche ca. 30 – 80 cm unter-
halb der Wasseroberfläche festdrücken. Bei Was-
sertiefen bis 5 m kann der Lautsprecher auch am
Beckenboden befestigt werden.
Vor einer Festmontage zuerst einen Probe-
betrieb durchführen, um die optimale Abstrahlstelle
zu ermitteln. Dann den Lautsprecher auseinander
schrauben (siehe Abb.), den Tragegriff (b) ggf.
abnehmen, das Gehäuse (a) über die vier Monta-
gelöcher (c) an geeigneter Stelle festschrauben
und den Lautsprecher wieder zusammenschrau-
ben.
Soll der Lautsprecher endgültig aus dem
Betrieb genommen werden, übergeben
Sie ihn zur umweltgerechten Entsorgung
einem örtlichen Recyclingbetrieb.

Underwater Speaker
Please read these operating instructions carefully
prior to installation and keep them for later refer-
ence.
1 Applications
The underwater speaker UWS-100 is ideally suited
for operation in the water up to a maximum depth
of 5 m, e. g. in swimming pools. Due to its 8 Ω
impedance, it allows direct connection to the low-
impedance speaker output of an amplifier. The
speaker is resistant to the usual chemicals used in
swimming pools. With a power capability of 20 W
RMS, an individual UWS-100 speaker will provide
a sufficient sound for a water volume of approx.
25 m3. For fixed installation, four mounting holes
are provided; for mobile applications, four suction
cups are supplied with the speaker.
2 Important Notes
The speaker corresponds to all required directives
of the EU and is therefore marked with .
GProtect the speaker against frost and ice (admis-
sible ambient temperature range: 1 – 40 °C).
GNo guarantee claims for the speaker and no lia-
bility for any resulting personal damage or mate-
rial damage will be accepted if the speaker is
used for other purposes than originally intended,
if it is not correctly installed or connected, or if it
is overloaded.
3 Installation
For a trial operation or for mobile applications,
attach the speaker via its four suction cups (d) to a
smooth surface approx. 30 – 80 cm below the
water surface. For water depths up to 5 m, the
speaker may also be fixed to the floor of the pool.
Prior to a fixed installation, perform a trial oper-
ation to find the position for optimum sound radia-
tion. Then disassemble the speaker (see figure
below): Remove the handle (b), if required. Screw
the housing (a) via the four mounting holes (c) to a
suitable surface. Finally reassemble the speaker.
If the speaker is to be put out of operation
definitively, take it to a local recycling plant
for a disposal which will not be harmful to
the environment.
4 Electrical Connection
1) The amplifier for operating the UWS-100 should
preferably be placed at a distance of 10 m to the
swimming pool. Always protect it against splash
water and humidity. Switch off the amplifier
before connecting the speaker!
2) Connect the speaker to the speaker output of
the amplifier. When connecting several speak-
ers, make sure that all speakers have the same
polarity (e. g. blue core = negative connection)
and that the load impedance of the speaker out-
put on the amplifier will not fall below the mini-
mum value.
Subject to technical modification.
CAUTION! The sound radiated from the speaker
is hard to hear when you are out of the water.
Therefore, the UWS-100 will be easily damaged if
the volume adjusted on the amplifier is too high.
To protect the speaker against overload, it is rec-
ommended to insert a speaker protection module
(e. g. DSP-1 from MONACOR) that has been
adjusted to the maximum power capability of the
UWS-100.

Haut-parleur sous-marin
Veuillez lire la présente notice avec attention avant
lʼinstallation et conservez-la pour pouvoir vous y
reporter ultérieurement.
1 Possibilités dʼutilisation
Le haut-parleur UWS-100 est spécialement adapté
pour une utilisation sous lʼeau à une profondeur
maximale de 5 mètres, par exemple dans une pis-
cine. Grâce à son impédance de 8 Ω, il peut être
relié directement à une sortie haut-parleur basse
impédance dʼun amplificateur. Le haut-parleur est
résistant aux produits chimiques utilisés habituelle-
ment dans une piscine. Avec une puissance de
20 WRMS, un seul UWS-100 peut suffire pour un
volume dʼeau de 25 m3environ. Quatre trous de
montage sont prévus pour une installation fixe et
quatre ventouses pour une utilisation mobile.
2 Conseils importants dʼutilisation
Le haut-parleur répond à toutes les directives
nécessaires de lʼUnion européenne et porte donc
le symbole .
GProtégez le haut-parleur de la glace et du gel
(température ambiante admissible 1 – 40 °C).
GNous déclinons toute responsabilité en cas de
dommages matériels ou corporels résultants si le
haut-parleur est utilisé dans un but autre que
celui pour lequel il a été conçu, sʼil nʼest pas cor-
rectement installé, branché ou sʼil y a surcharge ;
en outre, la garantie deviendrait caduque.
3 Montage
Pour un test de fonctionnement ou pour une utili-
sation mobile, fixez solidement le haut-parleur
avec les quatre ventouses (d) sur une surface
plane 30 à 80 cm environ sous la surface de lʼeau.
Pour des profondeurs de montage jusquʼà 5 m, le
haut-parleur peut être également fixé sur le sol de
la piscine.
Avant tout montage fixe, effectuez tout dʼabord
un test de fonctionnement pour déterminer le posi-
tionnement optimal de diffusion. Dévissez ensuite
le haut-parleur (voir schéma), retirez si besoin la
poignée (b), vissez le boîtier (a) via les quatre trous
de montage (c) à lʼendroit voulu puis remontez le
haut-parleur.
Lorsque le haut-parleur est définitivement
retiré du service, vous devez le déposer
dans une usine de recyclage adaptée pour
contribuer à son élimination non polluante.
4 Branchement électrique
1) Lʼamplificateur pour le fonctionnement du UWS-
100 devrait être, dans la mesure du possible,
éloigné de 10 m de la piscine et doit impérative-
ment être protégé contre les éclaboussures et
lʼhumidité. Eteignez lʼamplificateur avant de
brancher le haut-parleur !
2) Reliez le haut-parleur à la sortie haut-parleur de
lʼamplificateur. Si vous branchez plusieurs haut-
parleurs, veillez à ce quʼils aient tous la même
polarité (par exemple conducteur bleu = bran-
chement moins) et à ce que lʼimpédance mini-
male de charge de la sortie haut-parleur sur
lʼamplificateur ne soit pas inférieure.

ATTENTION ! Hors de lʼeau, lʼaudibilité du son dif-
fusé peut être mauvaise. Cʼest pourquoi le UWS-
100 peut être facilement endommagé par un
volume réglé trop fort sur lʼamplificateur. Il est
recommandé dʼinsérer un module de protection de
haut-parleur (par exemple DSP-1 de MONACOR)
réglé sur la puissance maximale du UWS-100 et
qui protège de toute surcharge.

Diffusore subacqueo
Vi preghiamo di leggere attentamente le presenti
istruzioni prima dellʼinstallazione e di conservarle
per un uso futuro.
1 Possibilità dʼimpiego
Il diffusore UWS-100 è adatto in modo particolare
per lʼimpiego sottʼacqua fino ad una profondità di
5 m max., per esempio in una piscina. Grazie alla
sua impedenza di 8 Ω può essere collegato diretta-
mente allʼuscita a bassa impedenza di un amplifi-
catore. Il diffusore è resistente ai prodotti chimici
che di solito si usano nelle piscine. Con una
potenza di 20 Weff., un singolo UWS-100 è in
grado di sonorizzare sufficientemente un volume
dʼacqua di 25 m3. Per lʼinstallazione fissa esistono
quattro fori di montaggio, e per lʼimpiego mobile
quattro ventose.
2 Avvertenze importanti per lʼuso
Il diffusore è conforme a tutte le direttive richieste
dellʼUE e pertanto porta la sigla .
GProteggere il diffusore dal ghiaccio e dal gelo
(temperatura ammessa: 1 – 40 °C).
GNel caso dʼuso improprio, di montaggio scor-
retto, di collegamenti sbagliati o di sovraccarico
del diffusore, non si assume nessuna responsa-
bilità per eventuali danni consequenziali a per-
sone o a cose e non si assume nessuna garan-
zia per il diffusore.
3 Montaggio
Per una prova di funzionamento oppure per impie-
ghi mobili, fissare il diffusore per mezzo delle quat-
tro ventose (d) contro una superficie liscia a
30 – 80 cm ca. sotto la superficie dellʼacqua. Nel
caso di profondità fino a 5 m è possibile fissare il
diffusore anche sul pavimento della piscina.
Prima di un montaggio fisso conviene effettuare
una prova per individuare il punto ottimale dʼirra-
diazione. Quindi aprire il diffusore (vedi fig.), stac-
care eventualmente la maniglia (b) e avvitare il
contenitore (a) in un punto adatto per mezzo dei
quattro fori di montaggio (c). Successivamente
riassemblare il diffusore.
Se si desidera eliminare il diffusore defini-
tivamente, consegnarlo per lo smalti-
mento ad unʼistituzione locale per il rici-
claggio.
4 Collegamenti elettrici
1) Lʼamplificatore per il funzionamento dellʼ UWS-
100 dovrebbe essere collocato, se possibile, a
10 m dalla piscina e deve essere protetto asso-
lutamente dagli spruzzi dʼacqua e dallʼumidità.
Prima di collegare il diffusore, spegnere lʼampli-
ficatore!
2) Collegare il diffusore con lʼuscita per altoparlanti
dellʼamplificatore. Collegando più diffusori, fare
attenzione a una loro polarità identica (p. es.
conduttore blu = contatto negativo) e di non
rimanere sotto lʼimpedenza di carico minima
dellʼuscita per altoparlanti dellʼamplificatore.
Con riserva di modifiche tecniche.
ATTENZIONE! Fuori dallʼacqua è difficile perce-
pire correttamente il suono irradiato. Perciò è facile
che lʼ UWS-100 venga danneggiato da un volume
impostato troppo alto sullʼamplificatore. È quindi
consigliabile inserire un modulo di protezione per
altoparlanti (p. es. DSP-1 di MONACOR), impo-
stato secondo la potenza massima dellʻUWS-100
proteggendolo così dal sovraccarico.
