3. CONDITIONS OF USE
The MS Tornades is designed for mist spraying liquids, for application of crop protection products on
trees and shrubs. Every other use could lead to danger – and therefore you should not use the mist
sprayer for other purposes.
4. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
4.1 General
Read through this user manual carefully before using the machine. Follow all the guidance
strictly and always keep the instruction below in mind.
Make sure that everybody using the machine knows and adheres to the instructions. Children
and any other persons that are not competent to use the machine are not permitted to do so.
1. Stickers and markings in this manual and on the machine provide important guidance for
danger-free use – following those instructions serves your personal safety! Never remove
them!
2. When using the machine, wear close-fitting clothing, safety glasses and ear protectors!
Avoid loose-fitting clothing (articles)!
3. The machine runs on for a moment after disengaging. Do not move into the vicinity of
rotating parts until the machine is fully stopped.
4. Mount accessories according to the instructions, and fit them exclusively to the designated
fittings – make sure that items are safely mounted.
5. Check the entire machine before each time you use it. Only use the machine when all its
functions are working correctly, and with no damaged parts.
6. Repair any damage immediately and definitely before using the machine again.
7. Never exceed the stipulated power take off RPM.
8. Ensure proper maintenance according to the user instructions in this book and the
currently valid standard for agricultural machines.
9. Limit use of the machine to the purpose described in the conditions of use (Section 3).
10. When working with crop protection products, you should ask the supplier for instructions
and always respect them. Never exceed the prescribed concentrations. Make sure that no
one comes into contact with the product during preparation or application. Wear
protective clothing.
4.2 Using the power take off shaft (PTO)
1. Keep strictly to the instructions as provided in the accompanying PTO instruction book.
2. You may only fit and remove the PTO shaft when the tractor engine is switched off and the
key is removed.
3. Only use a fully protected drive shaft.
4. Pay attention to the transferred power in respect to the maximum of PTO speed, 540 RPM.
5. Please pay attention to the maximum half pipe length, and that there is always enough
room for telescoping in and out to prevent the drive shaft coming under excess strain
when taking curves. Maintain the free telescoping action by regular lubrication.
6. Pay attention to the maximum PTO shaft angle. Disconnect it in the case of big or uneven
angles.
7. Follow the lubrication plan provided. Lubricate with high quality grease after every 8
hours of operation.
