1. INLEIDING
Geachte eigenaar/gebruiker,
Wij bedanken u voor de aanschaf van deze machine. In deze handleiding worden de
belangrijkste voorschriften m.b.t. bediening en onderhoud beschreven.
Vóór het in gebruik nemen van de machine, verzoeken wij u de handleiding geheel
door te lezen en de aanwijzingen stipt op te volgen.
Wanneer er onverhoopt nog vragen zijn of moeilijkheden optreden kunt u zich het
beste direct tot onze klantenservice (Tel. [phone]) wenden.
U zult er begrip voor hebben, dat wij geen enkele aansprakelijkheid aanvaarden voor
eventuele schade en gevolgschade die voortkomt uit oneigenlijk en/of ondeskundig
gebruik van de machine of het niet opvolgen van de aanwijzingen.
2. ALGEMENE INFORMATIE
2.1 Product beschrijving
De tractor gedragen opbouwblower bestaat uit een stalen frame, polyethyleen tank
met
geïntrigeerde handwastank, pomp met handbediende drukregelaar uitschakelbare
tandwielkast, axiaal (hoge capaciteit) ventilator en omkeerbare drukverstuivers.
Het ontsmettingsmiddel wordt onder druk verneveld in de luchtstroom van de axiale
ventilator. Deze luchtstroom transporteert de fijne (nevel) druppels naar en in de te
behandelen ruimte. De hoeveelheid vloeistof, druppelgrootte en luchtsnelheid zijn
instelbaar voor een goede behandeling onder verschillende omstandigheden.
De MS Tornades is ontwikkeld om tijdrovende ontsmetting van pluimveestallen te
vereenvoudigen.

3. GEBRUIKSVOORWAARDEN
De MS Tornades is ontworpen voor het vernevelen van vloeistof voor het ontsmetten van
stallen (in het bijzonder vleeskuikenstallen). Ieder ander gebruik kan gevaar opleveren;
gebruik daarom de nevelspuit nooit voor andere doeleinden.
4. VEILIGHEIDSVOORSCHRIFTEN
4.1Algemeen
Lees deze gebruikershandleiding nauwlettend door vóór het gebruik van de machine.
Volg alle aanwijzingen stipt op en let te allen tijde op de instructies hieronder.
Zorg er voor dat iedereen die de machine gebruikt, de instructies kent en toepast.
Kinderen en iedereen die niet in staat zijn veilig met deze machine te werken, is het
niet toegestaan de machine te gebruiken.
1. Stickers en markeringen in deze handleiding en op de machine aangebracht, geven
belangrijke aanwijzingen voor een gevaarloos gebruik; het opvolgen van deze
aanwijzingen dient uw eigen veiligheid! Verwijder deze nooit.
2. Draag als gebruiker nauwsluitende kleding/veiligheidsbril en gehoorbeschermers!
Vermijd loszittende kleding(stukken)!
3. Na uitschakeling loopt de machine nog na. Kom niet in de buurt van de draaiende
onderdelen voordat de machine helemaal stil staat.
4. Koppel accessoires aan volgens voorschrift en bevestig deze uitsluitend aan de daartoe
voor bestemde voorziening; zorg voor een goede borging.

5. Controleer de gehele machine voor elk gebruik. Gebruik de machine uitsluitend indien
alle functies goed werken en met onbeschadigde onderdelen.
6. Repareer beschadigingen onmiddellijk, zeker voordat er weer met de machine wordt
gewerkt.
7. Overschrijdt nooit het maximum opgegeven toerental van de aftakas.
8. Zorg voor goed onderhoud volgens de gebruiksvoorschriften in dit boek en de algemeen
gelden de normen voor agrarische machines.
9. Beperk het gebruik van de machine alleen tot het doel zoals beschreven onder
gebruiksvoorwaarden (hoofdstuk 3).
10. Wanneer men werkt met desinfectiemiddelen, dient u de leverancier om instructies te
vragen en deze altijd te respecteren. Overschrijdt nooit de voorgeschreven concentraties.
Zorg dat tijdens het gereedmaken en sproeien met deze producten niemand daarmee in
contact kan komen. Draag beschermende kleding.
4.2 Gebruik van de kruiskoppelingsas (aftakas)
1. Houdt u aan de voorschriften zoals vermeld in het bijgeleverde instructieboekje van de
kruiskoppelingsas.
2. Aan en afkoppelen van de kruiskoppelingsas mag uitsluitend, indien de tractormotor stil
staat en de contactsleutel verwijderd is.
3. Werk uitsluitend met een volledig beschermde aandrijving.
4. Let op het overdraagbare vermogen voor toelaatbaar toerental van maximaal 540
omw./min.
5. Let op de maximum van de helft van de pijplengte en dat er altijd genoeg vrije-
telescopische-ruimte is om te voorkomen dat de kruiskoppelingsas foutief belast wordt bij
het nemen van bochten. Onderhoud de vrije-telescopische-werking door regelmatig te
smeren.
6. Let op de maximale hoeken van de kruiskoppeling. Uitschakelen bij grote en ongelijke
hoeken.
7. Volg het opgegeven smeerplan. Na alle 8 werkuren smeren met kwaliteitsvet.
8. Gebruik de kruiskoppelingsas met onbeschadigde beschermhulzen en borg de
bescherming van de kruiskoppelingsas tegen meedraaien door de kettingen aan een punt
te bevestigen.
9. Gebruik nooit de kruiskoppelingsas zonder de vaste beschermkappen aan de tractor en
machinezijde. Overtuigt u dat beide einden van de cardan-as na opschuiven geborgd
zijn.
10. Wanneer een kruiskoppelingsas vervangen wordt, houdt rekening met het minimum
benodigde vermogen van de machine.
4.3Het aankoppelen aan de tractor
1. De tractor moet zijn uitgerust met een PTO 1.3/8”ASE DIN 9611/A voor 540 en
de 3-punts hefinrichting moet geschikt zijn voor het gewicht van de machine.
2. De werktuigpennen zijn omkeerbaar en daardoor kan de machine zowel aan de
hefinrichting van Categorie 1 als aan Categorie 2 trekkers worden bevestigd.
Selecteer de juiste positie en bevestig de machine, erop lettend dat de pennen
nauwsluitend in de hefinrichting opgesloten zijn.

3. Breng de hefinrichting omhoog zodanig dat de PTO-as aangebracht kan worden
met beide zijden op gelijke hoogte (horizontale stand).
4. Breng met de topstang van de driepunts-hefinrichting de blower in verticale positie.
VERANTWOORDELIJKHEID, GARANTIE EN SYMBOLEN
5.1 Verantwoordelijkheid
MS Schippers aanvaardt geen enkele verantwoordelijkheid indien de volgende
aanwijzingen niet gerespecteerd worden.
1. De machine dient alleen te worden gebruikt en onderhouden als omschreven in
deze handleiding en in geldende errata en supplementen.
2. Vervangende onderdelen dienen origineel of gelijkwaardig te zijn.
3. Ter plaatse geldende voorschriften m.b.t. veiligheid, gebruik van de machine,
wegtransport, etc. en de veiligheidsinstructies in deze handleiding, dienen altijd in
acht genomen te worden vóór, tijdens en na het gebruik van de machine.
N.B.: MS Schippers is nimmer verantwoordelijk voor gevolgschade.
5.2Garantie
MS SCHIPPERS garandeert reparatie en/of vervanging van ondeugdelijke onderdelen
gedurende een periode van 12 maanden na levering. De uiteindelijke conclusie of
onderdelen ondeugdelijk
zijn is voorbehouden aan MS Schippers. Als ondeugdelijk wordt niet gezien, het
defect raken van onderdelen door het niet opvolgen van de aanwijzingen in deze
handleiding.
Kosten van verzending en arbeidsloon voor vervanging van onderdelen, vallen niet
onder de garantie tenzij MS Schippers vóór de reparatie hier uitdrukkelijk mee in heeft
gestemd. Garantie dekt nimmer kosten voortvloeiend uit het niet juist functioneren van
de machine.

6. HET GEBRUIK VAN DE MACHINE
Het gebruik van de opbouwblower bestaat uit de volgende stappen die gedetailleerd
beschreven worden in de onderdelen hierna.
6.1Aansluiten van de machine
Controleer de machine op beschadigingen en bevestig de opbouwblower achter de
tractor zoals beschreven in de veiligheidsinstructie (4.2 en 4.3). Het is raadzaam om
een test met schoon water uit te voeren om te kijken of alle onderdelen goed werken.
Deze test moet uitgevoerd worden als de machine enige tijd niet is gebruikt.
6.2Tank vullen en het mengen van het gewasbeschermingsmiddel
Om het waterleidingnetwerk te beschermen mag de tank enkel gevuld worden met vrij
uitstromend water en de vulslangen mogen niet in contact komen met chemicaliën.
Gebruik handschoenen en was regelmatig uw handen. Vullen vanuit een
waterreservoir of sloot m.b.v. onderdruk van de pomp en een aanzuigslang, kan bij
de meeste spuitmachines als optie. Waterhoeveelheden dienen zorgvuldig te worden
afgemeten en de tank mag slechts gevuld worden tot de nominale capaciteit (zie 2.2)
Vul de tank eerst met 50% van de te gebruiken hoeveelheid water. Hierna de correcte
hoeveelheid desinfectiemiddel toevoegen en de tank afvullen met de overgebleven
50% water. Na het sluiten van de tankdeksel wordt de vloeistof geroerd door de
afsluiters (5 & 6) van de drukverstuivers (2), de afsluiter menginjecteur (8) te openen,
de omloopafsluiter (9) te sluiten en de PTO-as te laten draaien, zie vloeistofcircuit Fig #
blz. 11. Zo wordt de pomp in werking gezet en stroomt het water gedeeltelijk door de
roerkop en gedeeltelijk door de retourleiding terug in de tank. Laat het geheel 3 tot 5
minuten roeren. Na deze 3 tot 5 minuten de afsluiter menginjecteur (8) sluiten en
omloopafsluiter (9) geheel openen.
6.3Aanvang van de bespuiting
Wanneer u aankomt op het punt waar de bespuiting moet beginnen:
Machine is uitgerust met een uitschakelbare tandwielkast voor de aandrijving van
de ventilator, zet de hendel in de stand waardoor de ventilator wordt
aangedreven
Schakel hierna de aftakas in tot max. 540 omw.min
Stel de drukregelaar in op de exacte druk die nodig is voor de berekende afgifte
per minuut voor de spuitdoppen die u hebt gekozen.
Open de sproeikleppen met de afstandsbediening en start u gelijktijdig het
spuiten door het accelereren naar die rijsnelheid, zoals gebruikt in uw berekening.
Controleer regelmatig de manometer voor de correcte druk en of het sproeipatroon
regelmatig blijft. Indien dit niet zo is stop met spuiten, controleer en maak de spuitdop
die niet goed spuit schoon. Gebruik handschoenen en was uw handen.

Pas op: laat de pomp niet draaien zonder voldoende vloeistof,
Hierdoor ontstaat blijvende schade aan de pomp.
6.4Schoonmaken van de machine
Na elk gebruik van de machine moet het vloeistofcircuit worden doorgespoeld met
schoon water om te zorgen dat er geen chemicaliënaanslag ontstaat. Alvorens de
machine weg te zetten tank vullen met 25 à 50 liter schoon water. Dit water kan in de
tank blijven voor de volgende bespuiting. Als de kans bestaat dat het gaat vriezen,
moet men al water uit de tanks en de pomp laten lopen. Laat tevens de pomp met een
laag toerental ± 10 sec draaien. Reinig ook de buitenzijde van de machine regelmatig
schoon met schoon water.
7. Onderhoud
Het onderhoudsplan volgens de onderstaande tabel (7.1), is een minimum voorwaarde
voor het zeker stellen van een veilig en langdurig optimaal gebruik van de machine.
Naast het regelmatig controleren van de olie in de pomp en in de schakelbare
tandwielkast, het doorsmeren en het controleren op zichtbare beschadigingen is het
erg belangrijk dat u zonder onderbreking zorgdraagt voor het volgende:
Maak de tank en het circuit na elk gebruik schoon met water
Controleer en maak de filters na elk gebruik schoon
Controleer en maak de spuitdoppen na elk gebruik schoon
Maak de machine geheel leeg wanneer er een kans op vorst bestaat. Zorg vooral
goed voor de pompunit; lucht veroorzaakt roest in de pomp. Daarom moet de
pomp gespoeld of gevuld worden met olie, antivries of koelvloeistof.
Controleer de gehele machine op het juist functioneren van alle onderdelen en
repareer alvorens de machine weer te gebruiken.
Wanneer de machine zeer intensief wordt gebruikt, adviseren wij u om een complete
technische controle uit te laten voeren aan het einde van elk seizoen.

1. INTRODUCTION
Dear owner/user
We thank you your for purchasing this machine. This manual describes the most important
conditions regarding operation and maintenance.
Before using the machine, please read the manual completely and strictly follow the
instructions. If any unexpected problems or questions arise, the best solution is to contact your
dealer right away. Customer service [phone].
You will understand that we do not accept any liability for damages and consequential
damages resulting from improper and/or incompetent use of the machine or failure to follow
the instructions.
2. GENERAL INFORMATION
2.1 Product description
The tractor mounted blower set consists of a steel frame, a polyethylene tank with integrated
hand wash tank, a pump with manual pressure regulator, a gearbox that can be disengaged,
an axial (high capacity) fan and reversible pressure nozzles. The disinfectant product is misted
under pressure into the airflow through the axial fan. The airstream delivers the fine (mist)
droplets onto and into the space treated. The quantity of liquid, droplet size and airflow rate
area can all be calibrated for good treatment under different circumstances.
The MS Tornades has been specially developed to make time-consuming broiler house
disinfection easier.

3. CONDITIONS OF USE
The MS Tornades is designed for mist spraying liquids, for application of crop protection products on
trees and shrubs. Every other use could lead to danger – and therefore you should not use the mist
sprayer for other purposes.
4. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
4.1 General
Read through this user manual carefully before using the machine. Follow all the guidance
strictly and always keep the instruction below in mind.
Make sure that everybody using the machine knows and adheres to the instructions. Children
and any other persons that are not competent to use the machine are not permitted to do so.
1. Stickers and markings in this manual and on the machine provide important guidance for
danger-free use – following those instructions serves your personal safety! Never remove
them!
2. When using the machine, wear close-fitting clothing, safety glasses and ear protectors!
Avoid loose-fitting clothing (articles)!
3. The machine runs on for a moment after disengaging. Do not move into the vicinity of
rotating parts until the machine is fully stopped.
4. Mount accessories according to the instructions, and fit them exclusively to the designated
fittings – make sure that items are safely mounted.
5. Check the entire machine before each time you use it. Only use the machine when all its
functions are working correctly, and with no damaged parts.
6. Repair any damage immediately and definitely before using the machine again.
7. Never exceed the stipulated power take off RPM.
8. Ensure proper maintenance according to the user instructions in this book and the
currently valid standard for agricultural machines.
9. Limit use of the machine to the purpose described in the conditions of use (Section 3).
10. When working with crop protection products, you should ask the supplier for instructions
and always respect them. Never exceed the prescribed concentrations. Make sure that no
one comes into contact with the product during preparation or application. Wear
protective clothing.
4.2 Using the power take off shaft (PTO)
1. Keep strictly to the instructions as provided in the accompanying PTO instruction book.
2. You may only fit and remove the PTO shaft when the tractor engine is switched off and the
key is removed.
3. Only use a fully protected drive shaft.
4. Pay attention to the transferred power in respect to the maximum of PTO speed, 540 RPM.
5. Please pay attention to the maximum half pipe length, and that there is always enough
room for telescoping in and out to prevent the drive shaft coming under excess strain
when taking curves. Maintain the free telescoping action by regular lubrication.
6. Pay attention to the maximum PTO shaft angle. Disconnect it in the case of big or uneven
angles.
7. Follow the lubrication plan provided. Lubricate with high quality grease after every 8
hours of operation.

8. Use the PTO shaft with undamaged protective sleeves, and stop them rotating by
anchoring the chains to a fixed point.
9. Never use the PTO shaft without the fixed protection hoods on both the tractor and
machine ends. Ensure yourself that both ends of the drive shaft are locked in position after
sliding on.
10. If the PTO shaft needs replacement, always take account of the minimum power
requirements of the machine.
4.3 Mounting onto the tractor
1. The tractor must be equipped with a 1 3/8" PTO ASE DIN 9611/A for 540 RPM and the
three-point linkage must be suitable for the weight of the machine.
2. The machine's mounting pins are reversible, thus the machine can be mounted on both
category 1 and category 2 tractors. Select the correct position and fix the machine, make
sure that the pins are tightly locked in the linkage.
3. Raise the linkage to a position where you can mount the PTO with both ends at the same
height (horizontal position).
4. Use the upper arm of the three-point linkage to set the blower in a vertical position.

5.1 Responsibility
MS SCHIPPERS does not take on any responsibility at all in cases where the following points
are not respected.
1. The machine must exclusively be used and maintained in the manner described in this manual
and in any valid errata notices and supplements.
2. Replacement parts must be original or an equivalent.

instructions in this manual must always be observed before, during and after using the machine.
N.B.: MS Schippers is never responsible for consequential damages.
5.2 Warranty
MS SCHIPPERS guarantees repair and/or replacement of defective parts during a period of
12 months following delivery. The final decision on whether parts are defective or not is
reserved by MS SCHIPPERS. Parts will not be determined defective if the defect is the result of
not following the instructions in this manual.
In case of purchased components, which are part of the machine, MS SCHIPPERS will invoke
the guarantee provisions of the relevant supplier.
Shipping and labour charges for replacement parts are not covered by the warranty unless MS
SCHIPPERS has given express consent in advance. The warranty never covers costs arising
from the machine failing to function correctly.

6. USING THE MACHINE
Using the mounted blower comprises the steps that are described in detail in the section that
follows.
6.1 Mounting the machine

Attention! Always use ear protection to prevent damage to your
hearing.

machine.

Attention: There is a risk of vapour formation from the tank.
Avoid breathing tank vapours, and ensure the proper
precautions are in place.

Avoid contact with the liquid.

Check the machine for damage and then mount the mounted blower onto the tractor, as
described in the safety instructions (4.2 and 4.3). It is advisable to run a test with clean water,
to see that all the machine's parts are operating properly. This test is obligatory when the
machine has not been used for some time.
6.2 Filling the tank and mixing the crop protection product
To protect water pipelines from contamination, you should only fill the tank with free running
water, and the filler hose should never come into contact with the chemicals. Use gloves and
wash your hands regularly. Filling from a water reservoir or ditch using the negative pressure
from the pump and a suction hose, is an option with most sprayers. Water Quantities must be
measured carefully and the tank must be filled to its nominal rated capacity (see 2.2). Always
fill the tank first with 50% of the quantity of water that will be used. Then add the correct
quantity of the crop protection product to the tank, followed by the remaining 50% of the
water. After closing the tank lid, you mix the liquid by opening the pressure nozzle (2) shut-off
valves (5 & 6) and the mixing injector shut-off (8), closing the bypass shut-off (9) and then
rotating the PTO shaft, see Fig fluid circuit # p. 11. Then the pump is engaged and the water
flows partly through the mixing head and partly through the return pipe back into the tank.
Leave it mixing for 3 to 5 minutes. After 3 to 5 minutes, close the mixing injector shut-off (8),
and fully open the bypass shut-off (9).
6.3 Starting spraying
When you reach the point when spraying should start:
Choose the spray nozzles you require
The machine is equipped with a fan drive gearbox that can be disengaged. Put the
handle in the fan driving position
Then set the PTO running at a maximum of 540 RPM
Set the pressure regulator to the precise level that is required for the calculated dosage
per minute for the spray nozzles you have chosen
Open the spray valves, using the remote control and start spraying gradually,
accelerating up to the driving speed you arrived at in your calculation

Regularly check the manometer for the correct pressure, and make sure the spray pattern
remains regular. If that is not the case, stop spraying and clean the spray nozzle that is not
working properly. Use gloves and wash your hands regularly.
Attention! Do not allow the pump to run without any liquid.
That will cause lasting damage to the pump.
6.4 Cleaning the machine
You must clean the machine after every time it is used, by flushing it through with clean water
to ensure that no chemical residue remains. Before putting the machine in storage, fill the tank
with 25 to 50 litres of clean water. That water may remain in the tank for the next spraying
operation. At the end of the season, and whenever there is chance of frost, you need to empty
all water out of the tanks and the pump. Let the pump run for +/- 10 seconds at low RPM for
this. In addition, you should regularly clean the outside of the machine with clean water.
7. Maintenance
The maintenance plan in the table below (7.1) is a minimum requirement for assuring safe,
long-lasting and optimal operation of the machine. Besides regularly checking the oil in the
pump and gearbox, greasing the machine and checking for any visible damage, it is very
important that you continuously implement the following:
Every time you use the machine, clean the tank and circuit with clean water afterwards.
Every time you use the machine, check and clean the filters afterwards.
Every time you use the machine, check and clean the spray nozzles afterwards.
Always empty the machine thoroughly whenever there is chance of frost. Take especial
care for the pump, air can cause rust in it. That is why the pump must be flushed or filled
with oil, antifreeze or coolant.
Check the whole machine for correct functionality of all parts, and repair any faults
before using it again.
When the machine is used intensively, we recommend a complete technical inspection at the
end of every season.
