About the Simulator

The Nasco Healthcare Life/form®Basic Child CRiSis™ Trainer

Torso with Advanced Airway Management is the most realistic

simulator available for the training of intubation and other

airway management skills.

Nasco Healthcare has taken great care to create an airway

management trainer that is anatomically correct in respect to

both size and detail. Landmarks include nostrils, teeth, tongue,

oral and nasal pharynx, larynx, epiglottis, arytenoids, false and

true vocal cords, trachea, esophagus, lungs, and stomach.

The Nasco Healthcare Life/form®Basic Child CRiSis™ Trainer

Torso with Advanced Airway Management allows you to practice

oral, digital, and nasal intubation, as well as suction techniques.

The simulatorwas designed to use an uncuffed endotracheal

tube measuring up to 5.0 mm I.D. With proper care, your Nasco

Healthcare Life/form®Basic Child CRiSis™ Trainer Torso with

Advanced Airway Management will provide years of valuable

service.

Simply remove from carton and

unwrap packaging material.

LUBRICATION

Before intubating the Life/form®

Basic Child CRiSis™ Trainer Torso

with Advanced Airway Manage-

ment, lubricate the simulator

with the Nasco lubricant

provided.

(See Figure 1)

CLEANING THE FACE

Normal soil can be removed from the face of the trainer with

mild soapy water. Nasco Cleaner (LF09919) will remove stubborn

stains. Simply apply Nasco Cleaner to soiled area and wipe clean

with a soft cloth or paper towel.

Note: Do not use Nasco Cleaner around the mouth and nostrils,

as the residue of cleaner could be toxic.

with the Nasco lubricant provided. (See figures 1 )

CAUTIONS

Nasco recommends the use of the enclosed aerosol lubricant or a similar vegetable-based lubricant for

use with our Life/form® Child CRiSis™ Airway Management Trainer.

DO NOT use a silicone or similar lubricant. This will cause your simulator to dry and crack, and will auto-

matically void Nasco’s warranty on the trainer.

Never place the trainer on any kind of printed paper or plastic. These materials will transfer indelible

stains. Ballpoint pens will also make indelible stains.
