AbbreviatedDialinggivesyouquickaccesstonumbersyoucallfrequently.Thissavestime,forexample,
whencallingaclientwithwhomyoudealoften.Insteadofdialingalongtelephonenumber,youjustuse
AbbreviatedDialing.
TherearethreetypesofAbbreviatedDialing:Common,GroupandPersonal.Allco-workerscansharethe
CommonAbbreviatedDialingnumbers.Allco-workersinyourDepartmentCallingGroupcansharethe

AccountCodesarecodesyouenterthathelpkeeptrackofoutsidecalls.TherearetwotypesofAccount
Codes:OptionalandForced.Withoptionalcodes,theAccountCodesyouenteraresolelyforcategorizing
yourcalls.Forexample,ifyouworkinanaccountingfirmthatmustbillbackcustomersfortimeontheter-
minal,OptionalAccountCodesareforyou.ForcedAccountCodesalsoletyoucategorizecalls,butyou
mustenteronebeforeplacingoutgoingcalls.Ifyoudon'tenterthecode,youcan'tplacethecall.This
ensuresthatcallsdon'tgooutuntracked.WhenforcedandverifiedAccountCodesareenabledfortoll
callsonly,localandtollfreenumbershaveoptionalaccountcodes.
CheckwithyourCommunicationsManagertofindoutifyourUX5000usesAccountCodes-andwhich
codesyoushouldenter.AccountCodescanbefrom1-16digitslong,using0-9and#.
To enter an Account Code any time while on an outside call:
1. *+AccountCode(1-16digits)+*.
To enter an Account Code while placing an outside call:
1. Accesstrunkforoutsidecall.
Youcanaccessatrunkbypressingalinekeyorbydialingacode.Refertopage105formore

Yourterminalhastwotypesofalarms:
•Alarm1-whichsoundsonlyonceatthepresettime.
•Alarm2-whichsoundseverydayatthepresettime.
To set the alarm:
1. CALL1+827+Alarmtype(1or2).
2. Dialthealarmtime(24-hourclock).
Forexample,for1:15PMdial1315.
3. SPKtohangup.
To silence an alarm:
1. CLEAR.
To check the programmed alarm time:
1. CHECK+827+Alarmtype1or2+CLEAR.
To cancel an alarm:

Automated Attendant (VRS)
ThisfeaturerequirestheIntraMaildaughterboardforVoiceResponseSystem(VRS)prompts.
AutomatedAttendantautomaticallyanswerstheUX5000'soutsidecalls,playsaprerecordedgreetingand
thenletscallersdirectlydialyouoryourco-workers.ThisgivestheUX5000immediateansweringand
routingofcallswithoutanoperatorordispatcher.TheAutomatedAttendantcan:
• Simultaneouslyansweruptosixcalls.
• Routecallstoanextension,DepartmentGrouporVoiceMailandprovideadditionaloptionsif
theextensionorgroupisunavailable.
• GiveyoutheoptionofrecordingormodifyingtheAutomatedAttendantgreetings(seebelow).
To record, listen to or erase an Automated Attendant greeting:
1. CALL1+116.
2. Torecord,dial7.
OR
Tolisten,dial5.
OR
Toerase,dial3.
3. DialtheVRSmessagenumber(001-100)fortheAutomatedAttendantgreetingyouwanttorecord,lis-
