GETTING
STARTED
PRE-CONFIGURED?
If you received your gateway from your service provider
and they have provided you with their own instructions,
refer to those to complete the setup. In some cases, the
gateway has been pre-congured for you and is ready to use.
Otherwise, you will need to complete the setup yourself.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN
Ensure that you have the following information
from your service provider:
- How your Internet service will physically connect to your gateway
- The Settings specic to your type of service.
There are three primary ways to connect your
gateway to the Internet service:
Mobile Broadband
This uses the cellular network to connect to the Internet,
just like a smartphone does. Requires a valid carrier
SIM card be inserted in the gateway to work.
Ethernet WAN
This is the most common access type in Australia and New Zealand
and covers xed line technologies such as nbn™ FTTP, HFC, FTTC
as well as UFB Fixed Wireless and Sky Muster™ satellite services.
This type of Internet service uses the red WAN port on the
back of the gateway to connect to the dedicated connection
box installed by your access network provider.
ADSL or VDSL
These access types are provided by nbn™ FTTB, FTTN
or ADSL/VDSL over a traditional telephone line.
This connection uses the grey DSL port on the back of the gateway.

To use Mobile Broadband attach the two antennas in the sockets on
the back of your gateway by turning them in a clockwise direction
on the antenna sockets, as shown in the following diagram:

Mobile Broadband
If you intend to use a cellular connection you will
need to have a Mini SIM card issued by a service
provider and attach the two antennas.

INSERTING YOUR SIM CARD
Insert the SIM card into the SIM card slot on the side of the
gateway in the orientation shown in the following diagram:
Note - Your carrier may have inserted the SIM card prior to shipping.

WITH WI-FI
1. Turn on the CloudMesh Hybrid Gateway.
Wait a few minutes for it to start up.
2. Type the network name and password on the
Wi-Fi Security Card into your wireless device when
connecting or scan the QR code.

To complete the setup, you will need the following
information from your service provider:
- Internet service type (ADSL/VDSL/Ethernet WAN)
- Connection type (PPPoE/PPPoA/Dynamic IP/Static IP)
- Other specics depending on your connection
type including 802.1P priority, VLAN Tag, WAN
IP Address, Subnet Mask and DNS Servers
- VoIP settings from your service provider if
you intend to use a phone with your service.
When you have the necessary information, follow these steps:
1. Push the power button on the side of the
CloudMesh Hybrid Gateway to turn it on.
Wait a few minutes for it to complete starting up.
2. Open a web browser and type 192.168.20.1
into the address bar, then press Enter.
3. At the login screen, type admin into the Username eld. In the
Password eld, type the unique password printed on the label on
the bottom of the gateway, then click on the Login > button
4. Follow the Basic Setup to complete the conguration.
