Cleaning and care
DANGER – ELECTRIC SHOCK!
► Always remove the plug of the charger 5
from the power socket before cleaning the
appliance! Risk of electric shock!
Never submerge the handle or the
charger 5in water or other liquids.
CAUTION – PROPERTY DAMAGE!
► Do not use detergents or solvents. These can
damage the plastic surfaces.
NOTE
Never open the housing of the charger 5or
the toothbrush! They cannot be resealed in a
water-tight manner.
1) ) Dismantle the charger 5for cleaning:
–Hold the lower part of the charger 5
firmly and tilt the top part, which contains
the brush holders 4, towards the rear.
2) Clean the upper part of the charger 5 under
running water. If the toothpaste residue in the
brush holders 4cannot be removed, soak
the upper part of the charger 5in warm
water and then rinse out the brush holders 4.
3) Clean the lower part of the charger 5 only
with a damp cloth.
4) Remove the brush head 1from the handset.
After use, clean the brush heads 1thoroughly
under running water.
We recommend cleaning the brush heads 1
in a standard commercial denture cleaning
fluid every 2 - 4 weeks. A new brush head 1
should be fitted after about 3 months, and the
brush head must always be replaced when
the bristles start to bend outwards.
5) To clean the drive shaft 2and the handset,
hold them under running water for a short
while. Hold the handset so that the drive shaft
2is pointing downwards at an angle.
Travel lock
This toothbrush is equipped with a travel lock.
You can lock the On/Off switch 0to prevent
accidental starting of the toothbrush:
Press and hold the On/Off button 0until the
charge indicator 6 flashes 5 x green.
The On/Off switch 0is now locked.
Press and hold the On/Off button 0until the
charge indicator 6 lights up once for a longer
period.
NOTE
If you try to switch on the toothbrush while the
travel lock is activated, the charge indicator 6
will flash 5 x. The toothbrush will not start.
