1. BESCHRIJVING
Door de sms-modem te koppelen aan het Nikobus-systeem is het mogelijk een sms-koppeling (zenden en
ontvangen van sms’jes) te voorzien. U moet uw modem enkel nog van een SIM-kaart (abonnement of pre-pay)
voorzien. Het product werkt enkel in combinatie met een PC-Logic (05-201).
Omwille van de software aanpassingen is het noodzakelijk minstens volgende versies te gebruiken:
PC-logic: 4.3 en Nikobus-software: versie 3.1.1
De PC-logic kan worden ingeruild via Niko support.
De laatste nieuwe Nikobus-software kan bekomen worden via de Niko website.
2. INITIALISATIE VAN DE MODEM
Voor initialisatie van de sms-modem verbindt u de pc met de sms-modem via de kabel die voorzien is van 2
seriële poorten. Vervolgens volgt u de stappen zoals vermeld in de Nikobus-software. Zo moet u onder andere
de PIN-code van uw SIM-kaart invoeren. De nodige Nikobus-software voor programmering van de sms-interface
wordt bij de PC-Logic (05-201) meegeleverd.
3. AANSLUITINGEN
1.Steek de gsm-antenne in de SMB-connector van de modem.
2.Verbind de kabel met de RJ12-connector in de PC-Logic.
3.Verbind vervolgens de datakabel met zijn seriële poort op de modem en draai de schroeven goed vast.
4.Open het afdekplaatje aan de onderkant van de modem.
5.Draai het beveiligingsplaatje open met behulp van het afdekklepje.
6.Hef het SIM-kaart houdertje op en plaats de SIM-kaart erin met de contacten naar beneden.
7.Sluit nu alles terug af en plaats de modem in zijn houder.
8.Verbind ten slotte uw adapter met de modem en plaats de adapter in het stopcontact.

5. WETTELIJKE WAARSCHUWINGEN
- Lees de volledige handleiding vóór installatie en ingebruikname.
- De installatie dient te worden uitgevoerd door een erkend installateur en met inachtname van de geldende
voorschriften.
- Deze handleiding dient aan de gebruiker te worden overhandigd. Zij moet bij het dossier van de elektrische
installatie worden gevoegd en dient te worden overgedragen aan eventuele nieuwe eigenaars. Bijkomende
exemplaren zijn verkrijgbaar via de Niko-website of -supportdienst.
- Bij de installatie dient rekening gehouden te worden met (lijst is niet limitatief):
- de geldende wetten, normen en reglementen;
- de stand van de techniek op het ogenblik van de installatie;
- het feit dat een handleiding alleen algemene bepalingen vermeldt en dient gelezen te worden binnen het
kader van elke specifieke installatie;
- de regels van goed vakmanschap.
- Bij twijfel kan u de supportdienst van Niko raadplegen of contact opnemen met een erkend controleorganisme.

In geval van defect kan u uw product terugbezorgen aan een erkende Niko-groothandel samen met een duidelijke
omschrijving van uw klacht (manier van gebruik, vastgestelde afwijking…).
6. GARANTIEBEPALINGEN
- Garantietermijn:tweejaarvanafleveringsdatum.Alsleveringsdatumgeldtdefactuurdatumvanaankoopvan
het goed door de consument. Indien geen factuur voorhanden is, geldt de productiedatum.
- De consument is verplicht Niko schriftelijk over het gebrek aan overeenstemming te informeren, uiterlijk binnen
de twee maanden na vaststelling.
- In geval van een gebrek aan overeenstemming van het goed heeft de consument recht op een kosteloze
herstelling of vervanging, wat door Niko bepaald wordt.
- Niko is niet verantwoordelijk voor een gebrek of schade als gevolg van een foutieve installatie, oneigenlijk of
onachtzaam gebruik of verkeerde bediening of transformatie van het goed.
- De dwingende bepalingen van de nationale wetgevingen betreffende de verkoop van consumptiegoederen en de
beschermingvandeconsumentenvandelandenwaarinNikorechtstreeksofviazuster/dochtervennootschap-
pen, filialen, distributeurs, agenten of vaste vertegenwoordigers verkoopt, hebben voorrang op bovenstaande
bepalingen.
1. DESCRIPTION
Il est possible d’obtenir une liaison sms (envoi et réception de courts messages) en raccordant le modem sms
au système Nikobus. Le modem doit bien entendu être pourvu d’une carte SIM (abonnement ou pre-payée). Ce
produit fonctionne uniquement en combinaison avec un module PC-Logic (05-201).
En raison des adaptations du logiciel, il est indispensable d‘utiliser au moins les versions suivantes:
PC-logic: 4.3 et logiciel Nikobus: version 3.1.1
Le PC-logic peut être échangé via le service Support de Niko.
Le logiciel Nikobus le plus récent peut être obtenu via le site web de Niko.
2. MISE EN ROUTE DU MODEM (INITIALISATION)
La mise en route du modem s’effectue en raccordant le pc au modem sms au moyen du câble pourvu de 2 ports
sériels. Suivez ensuite les instructions mentionnées au logiciel Nikobus. Il vous faudra entre autre introduire le
code PIN de votre carte SIM. Une application du logiciel Nikobus pour la programmation du modem sms est
fournie avec le PC-Logic (05-201).
3. RACCORDEMENTS
1.Enfichez l’antenne gsm dans le connecteur SMB du modem.
2.Raccordez le câble au connecteur RJ12 du PC-Logic.
3.Raccordez ensuite le câble des données avec le port sériel du modem et vissez fermement.
4.Ouvrez la plaquette de protection sur le bas-côté du modem.
5.Effectuez cette opération avec le clapet.
6.Relevez le support pour carte SIM et introduisez la carte SIM, contacts vers le bas.
7.Refermez l’ensemble et placez le modem dans son support.
8.Raccordez ensuite votre chargeur au modem et raccordez le chargeur à une prise de courant.

5. PRESCRIPTIONS LEGALES
- Lisez entièrement le mode d’emploi avant toute installation et mise en service.
- L’installation doit être effectuée par un installateur agréé et dans le respect des prescriptions en vigueur.
- Ce mode d’emploi doit être remis à l’utilisateur. Il doit être joint au dossier de l’installation électrique et être
remis à d’éventuels autres propriétaires. Des exemplaires supplémentaires peuvent être obtenus sur le site
web ou auprès du service ‘support Niko’.
- Il y a lieu de tenir compte des points suivants avant l’installation (liste non limitative):
- les lois, normes et réglementations en vigueur;
- l’état de la technique au moment de l’installation;
- ce mode d’emploi qui doit être lu dans le cadre de toute installation spécifique;
- les règles de l’art.
- En cas de doute, vous pouvez appeler le service ‘support Niko’ ou vous adresser à un organisme de contrôle
reconnu.

En cas de défaut de votre appareil, vous pouvez le retourner à un grossiste Niko agréé, accompagné d’une
description détaillée de votre plainte (manière d’utilisation, divergence constatée…).
6. CONDITIONS DE GARANTIE
- Délai de garantie: 2 ans à partir de la date de livraison. La date de la facture d’achat par le consommateur fait
office de date de livraison. Sans facture disponible, la date de fabrication est seule valable.
- Le consommateur est tenu de prévenir Niko par écrit de tout manquement à la concordance des produits dans
un délai max. de 2 mois après constatation.

remplacement gratuit selon l’avis de Niko.
- Niko ne peut être tenu pour responsable pour un défaut ou des dégâts suite à une installation fautive, à une

- Les dispositions contraignantes des législations nationales ayant trait à la vente de biens de consommation et la
protection des consommateurs des différents pays où Niko procède à la vente directe ou par entreprises interposées,

2. INSTALLING THE MODEM
You install the SMS modem by connecting it to the PC with a cable provided with 2 serial ports. Subsequently,
youtakethenecessarystepsasindicatedintheNikobussoftware.TheseincludeenteringthePINcodeofyour
SIMcard.ThenecessaryNikobussoftwareforprogrammingtheSMSinterfaceissuppliedwiththePC-Logic
(05-201).
3. CONNECTIONS
1.Plug the cellphone antenna into the SMB connector of the modem.
2.Connect the cable with the RJ12-connector to the PC-Logic.
3.Connect the data cable with its serial gate to the modem and fix the screws.
4.Open the cover plate at the bottom of the modem.
5.Unscrew the security plate with the cover lid.
6.Lift the SIM card holder and insert the SIM card with the contacts facing down.
7.Close everything and put the modem in its holder.
8.Connect the adapter to the modem and plug the adapter into the socket.

of your complaint (Conditions of use, stated defect…).
6. GUARANTEE PROVISIONS
-Periodofguarantee:2yearsfromdateofdelivery.Thedeliverydateistheinvoicedateofpurchaseofthe
product by the consumer. If there is no invoice, the date of production applies.
-TheconsumerisobligedtoinformNikoinwritingaboutthedefect,withintwomonthsafterstatingthe
defect.
- In case of a failure to conform, the consumer has the right to a repair or replacement (decided by Niko) free of
charge.
- Niko cannot be held liable for a defect or damage as a result of an incorrect installation, improper or careless
use or wrong usage or transformation of the goods.
