• For use with pets only.
• STOP using when a pet can climb over or dislodge the gate.
• Install only with locking/latching mechanism securely engaged.
• To prevent falls, never use at top of stairs.
• This product will not necessarily prevent all accidents.
• NEVER leave pet unattended.
• This gate is to be used in openings 29.8" to 38.1" (75.69 cm to 96.77 cm).
• Periodically check all fasteners to be sure they are tight and secure, stop
using gate if any parts are missing or become damaged.
Important Information
There is a gap between your gate frame and handle. This is not a defect. The gap on your gate will close
once it is properly mounted. Please check the gate on a regular basis to ensure gate and parts are all in proper
working order. If the gate is used at the bottom of the stairs, please place towards the front of the lowest stair.
Ensure gate is attached between two clean, structurally sound surfaces. Ensure appropriate hardware is used
when mounting in solid materials such as wood or metal.
To ensure safe operation, additional or replacement parts should be obtained only from North States or
its authorized distributors. Contact information appears on the cover of these instructions.
Any damage to property during installation of your safety gate is the sole responsibility of the end user.

Installation
Measure the width of the opening and determine number of extensions needed
for the gate.

NOTE: Make sure the bottom of the gate frame remains completely at on the oor.
Align and secure with wall cups onto your wall with tape pads or screws.
Tighten both top and bottom tension knobs inward towards the gate.

To ensure safe installation with proper gate installation, continue to tighten tension
knobs until the gap between the upper latch and the upper gate frame housing is
eliminated.

Insert the front latch (K) and the back latch (L) into the
bottom of the pet door frame. Ensure the release button
on the latch is facing up. Firmly connect them together
to lock into place.
NOTE: Do not connect latch together prior to inserting
the latch into the pet door, as it will not come apart once
it is connected.

Attach gate stopper to the lower bar on the door frame.
NOTE: Insert gate stopper so the arrow is facing up and the stopper knobs slide down.

To add an extension, begin by removing both the upper and lower plugs from the side of
the gate frame. You may need to use a athead screwdriver to remove the plugs. Figure 2A.
• Attach both the upper and lower extension connectors to the extension pole.
• Install the fully assembled extension by inserting the upper and lower extension
connectors into the gate holes where you removed the plugs. Figure 2B.
• Replace both plugs. Place the tension knobs onto the spindles and insert the spindles
into the holes located on the outside of the extension. Figure 2C.

TO UNLOCK
Squeeze and twist the front center knob located below
the pet door. As you twist, the knob will line up with the
arrows on the right or left sides of the knob. The pet door
will move freely in both directions for your pet to pass
through.
TO LOCK
Squeeze and twist the front center knob located below
the pet door. As you twist, the knob will be in the upright
position, keeping the door securely locked.

Operation OPENING THE GATE:
1. Slide triangular button located within the gate handle.
2. While holding button, lift the handle upwards.
CLOSING THE GATE:
1. Manually swing the gate closed with
the handle in the upright position.
2. Return handle to the closed position.
You will hear a “click” when the
handle is securely engaged.
Swing Control Operation
Rotate the knob down on the gate stopper to
determine the direction the gate door will
swing. Gate opens in both directions when
gate stopper is not rotated.
WARNING
Make certain that the pet door is securely locked
in the closed position if using with a child 6-24
months of age.

Care CLEANING: Clean the safety gate using warm water and a mild detergent. Use a soft cloth or
sponge to avoid scratches. Never use solvents or chemicals to clean the safety gate.

Información importante
Hay un espacio entre el marco y la manija de la puerta. Esto no es un defecto. El espacio en la puerta
se cerrará una vez que esta esté correctamente instalada. Verique la puerta con regularidad para

Alinee y je la puerta con los protectores de pared sobre la pared con las almohadillas

Para agregar una extensión comience por quitar los tapones superior e inferior del lado del marco de
la puerta. Es posible que necesite un destornillador de cabeza plana para quitar los tapones. Figura 2A.
• Sujete el adaptador inferior y superior al poste de extensión.
• Instale la extensión totalmente armada al insertar los adaptadores superior e inferior de extensión
en la puerta, en los agujeros de los tapones que quitó. Figura 2B.
• Reemplace ambos tapones. Coloque las perillas de tensión en los ejes e inserte los ejes en los
oricios ubicados en el exterior de la extensión. Figura 2C.

DESBLOQUEADO
Apriete y gire la perilla central frontal situada debajo de la
puerta de mascotas. A medida que gira la perilla, ésta se
alineará con las echas en los lados derecho o izquierdo de
la perilla. La puerta de mascotas se moverá libremente en
ambas direcciones para que su mascota pueda pasar.
BLOQUEADO
Apriete y gire la perilla central frontal situada debajo de la
puerta de mascotas. A medida que gira la perilla, ésta pasará
a la posición vertical y mantendrá la puerta rmemente
bloqueada.

Funcionamiento del control de apertura
CÓMO ABRIR LA PUERTA:
1. Deslice el botón triangular situado en el mango de la puerta.
2. Mientras sostiene el botón, eleve el mango.
CÓMO CERRAR LA PUERTA:
1. Oscile manualmente la puerta
cerrada con el mango en la
posición vertical.
2. Vuelva a colocar el mango en la
posición cerrada. Oirá un “clic”
cuando el mango esté
enganchado con seguridad.
Gire la perilla hacia abajo en el tope de la puerta
para determinar la dirección en que se abrirá la
puerta. La puerta se abre en ambas direcciones
cuando el tope de la puerta no se gira.
ADVERTENCIA
Asegúrese de que la puerta de mascotas esté
rmemente bloqueada en la posición cerrada si usa
este producto con niños de 6 a 24 meses de edad.

LIMPIEZA: Limpie la puerta de seguridad con agua tibia y un detergente suave. Use un paño suave o
una esponja para evitar rasguños. Nunca utilice solventes o sustancias químicas para limpiar la puerta
de seguridad.
