NRS EasyFit Bed Rail
General Safety Warning
Please ensure these instructions are fully read and
implemented. Failure to do so may result in injury.
Retain these instructions in a safe place for future
reference.
1.0 Intended Use
The EasyFit Bed Rail provides stable support to
assist clients getting into and out of bed. When in
bed the rail can be used to aide users rising to a
sitting position or repositioning when lying.
Designed for use with divan beds, most slatted
domestic beds and is suitable for all bed sizes from
single to king-size.
2.0 Safety Precautions
WARNING! To avoid possible head entrapment,
position the Bed Rail at least 320mm (12½”) away
from both headboard and footboard. See figure 3.
Always ensure that the mattress is as close as
possible to the Bed Rail. Any gap could allow the
client to become wedged in-between.
Do not exceed the product maximum user weight
190kg, 30st.
Do not fit this product to profiling beds.
Not suitable for use by children.
3.0 Unpacking
Remove packaging and check all parts carefully. If
any parts appear damaged, do not assemble and
contact your supplier immediately.

4.0 Assembly
Slot both ends of the Bed Rail Base into the handle
and secure using the ‘e-clips’, figure 2.

6.0 Cleaning
Clean regularly using a general purpose, neutral
detergent and warm water.
Please check the suitability of the cleaning products
before use. Do not use abrasive cleaners or cloths
as these could permanently damage the surface
and invalidate any warranty.
Allow the product to dry fully prior to use/storage.
7.0 Maintenance
Check that all fixing clips are inserted correctly and
that there is no excessive movement.
Check that straps are tight and the bed rail is
correctly positioned.
Inspect the product regularly for signs of wear or
damage.
Any suspected faults or damage should
immediately be reported to the supplier and the
product taken out of use.
8.0 Accessories

9.0 Product Disposal
Product should be thoroughly cleaned prior to
disposal.
Product is manufactured from metal and plastic and
can be disposed of through Local Authority
Household Waste and Recycling Centres or
through local Trade Waste Collectors.
10.0 Product Guarantee
NRS Healthcare guarantee this product for a period
of 12 months, from the date of purchase, against
faulty materials and workmanship. This guarantee
does not cover; abuse, misuse, interference or
tampering with any part of the product.
Any guarantee issued by NRS Healthcare does not
affect your statutory rights.
5.0 Installation
Remove the mattress and place the Bed Rail onto the
base of the bed.
Position the Bed Rail such that the user can reach the
handle from a relaxed lying position without having to
stretch. For the safety of the user this must be at least
320mm away from the headboard or footboard.
If no straps are being used replace the mattress.
To secure with straps – Divan Bed:
Take the first strap. Loop the female buckle over and
under the Bed Rail base at points A and B, figure 3.
Pull the strap to allow the buckle to hang down the
side of the bed.
Take the other end of the strap and pass it under the
divan base.
Fasten the buckle and pull the strap tight such that it
wraps tight around the base of the bed.
Repeat for the second strap.
To secure with straps – Slatted Bed:
Please note: To use this method the bed slats must
be securely fixed in place.
Take the first strap. Loop the female buckle over and
under the handrail base and a single slat at point A,
figure 4.
Pull the strap to allow the female buckle to pass under
the slats then up and around the handrail base at
point B, figure 4.
Wrap it around a single slat at point B.
Pass the strap back under the slats to fasten the
buckle.
Pull to tighten the strap and securely position the bed
rail.
