INTENDED USE
This tool kit is made to adjust engine times on vehicles named
in the list below, with 1.4, 1.6 and 1.8L gasoline motor with
toothed belt.

COMPONENT DESCRIPTIONS
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Remove the right front wheel
2. Remove the inner n
3. Remove top motor cover and end cap
4. Remove the belt from and, if necessary, the auxiliary drive belt tensioner unit.
5. For some tasks, it is necessary to remove the right motor assembly (motor bracket is required.)
Camshaft Locking Bar (Figure 1)
It is used to lock the camshafts independently of the pulleys on engines
equipped with variable timing. It is inserted into the camshaft access
slots, after removing the end cap as shown in Fig. 1.
Tensioner Pulley Locking Pin
(Figure 3)
Used to lock the belt tensioner
pulley in the retracted position,
as shown in Fig. 3.
Camshaft Pulley Locking Tool (Figure 2)
This tool consists of two parts, it is used to adjust and lock the camshaft
pulleys. Assemble component (2) with camshaft pulley timing marks
aligned as shown in Fig. 2. Make sure intake camshaft governor timing
mark is properly set. Check that the component snaps into place.
Flywheel Retention Tool (Figure 4)
Retaining tool designed to slide between the engine block and
crankcase faces, and engage the ywheel ring gear, so that it holds
the crankshaft while the technician loosens or tightens the front pulley
mounting bolt. Component (4) slides into position as shown in Fig. 4
and is held in place with the motor mounting bolt, as shown.
Locking pin (Figure 5)
Used to lock the auxiliary drive belt tensioner in the retracted position.
Flywheel holding tool (Figure 6)
Designed to lock the ywheel ring gear by retaining the crankshaft
while tightening or loosening the front pulley mounting bolt. It is used
in gearboxes where component (4) cannot be used (eg Z16LET tted
on Astra-G and early Astra-H).

DESCRIPCIONES DE LOS COMPONENTES
INSTRUCCIONES
1. Retire la rueda delantera derecha
2. Retire la aleta interior
3. Retire la tapa superior del motor y la tapa de punterias
4. Retire la correa de y, si es necesario, la unidad de tensor de la correa de transmisión auxiliar.
5. Para algunas tareas, es necesario extraer el conjunto del motore derecho (se necesita un soporte para el motor).
Barra de bloqueo del árbol de levas (Figura 1)
Se usa para bloquear los árboles de levas independientemente de las poleas en
motores equipados con distribución variable. Se inserta en las ranuras del acceso
a los árboles de levas, tras extraer la tapa de punterias tal y como se muestra en
la Fig. 1. Este componente (1) se monta después del componente (2).
Espiga de bloqueo de la polea tensora
(Figura 3)
Se usa para bloquear la polea tensora de
la correa en posición retraida, como se
muestra en la Fig. 3.
Herramienta de bloqueo de la polea del árbol de levas (Figura 2)
Esta herramienta consta de dos parte, se usa para ajustar y bloquear las poleas
del árbol de levas. Monte el componente (2) con las marcas de sincronización
de las poleas de los árboles de levas alineadas como se muestra en la Fig. 2.
Asegúrese de que la marca de sincronización del regulador del árbol de levas de
admisión esté correctamente colocada. Compruebe que el componente encaje
en su lugar.
Herramienta de retención del volante cremallera (Figura 4)
Herramienta de retención diseñada para deslizarse entre el bloque del motor y las
caras del cárter, y unibcarse en el engranaje del anillo del volante cremallera, de
modo que sujete el cigüeñal mientras el técnico aoja o aprieta el perno de montaje
de la polea delantera. El componente (4) se desliza hasta su posición como se
muestra en la Fig. 4 y se mantiene en su lugar con el perno de montaje del motor,
tal y como se muestra.
Espiga de bloqueo (Figura 5)
Se usa para bloquear el tensor de la correa de transmisión auxillar en posición
retraída.
Herramienta de sujeción del disco volante (Figura 6)
Diseñada para bloquear el engranaje del anillo del volante cremallera mediante
la retención del cigüeñal mientras se aprieta o aoja el perno de montaje de la
polea delantera. Se usa en cajas de cambios en las que no puede emplearse el
componente (4) (por ejemplo, Z16LET equipada en Astra-G y los primeros Astra-H).
