Medical Purpose This product is intended to be used for inhaling medication
for respiratory disorders.
Intended User • Legally certified medical experts, such as doctor, nurse and
therapist, or healthcare personnel or patient under the
guidance of qualified medical experts.
• The user should also be capable of understanding general
machine operation and the content of instruction manual.
Intended Patients This product should not be used by patients, who are
unconscious or are not breathing spontaneously.
Environment This product is intended for use in a medical facility, such as
Hospital, clinic and doctor’s office, in a room of general
household, and in open-air environment with a roof.
Durable period Durable periods are as follows, provided the product is used
to nebulize saline 3 times a day for 10 minutes each time at
room temperature (23°C).
Durable period may vary depending on usage environment.

To assure the correct use of the product basic safety measures should always be followed
including the precautions listed below:
WARNING:
Indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not avoided, could result in death or
serious injury.
(Usage)
For type, dose, and regime of medication follow the instructions of your doctor or
respiratory therapist.
Clean and disinfect the nebulizer kit, mouthpiece and optional nosepiece or masks
before using them for the first time after purchase, if the device has not been used for
a long period of time.
If the device is used by more than one person, be sure to clean and disinfect parts
before they are used by each person.
Always dispose of any remaining medication after use, and use fresh medication each time.
Do not use only water in the nebulizer, for nebulizing purposes.
Do not use the device where it may be exposed to flammable gas.
In the case where the battery has not been adequately charged, there may be instances
where the unit cannot be used immediately in emergency situations such as seizures.
This should be taken into consideration and discussed with the medical practitioner
responsible for treatment and the device used in accordance with the practitioner's
recommendations.
The battery contains alkaline liquid. If battery fluid should get in your eyes, do not
wipe your eyes and immediately rinse with plenty of clean water. Consult a doctor
immediately.
(Risk of electrical shock)
When using the rechargeable battery, always charge the battery fully using the battery
charger specially designed for this device. If the battery is frequently used without
being fully charged, the capacity of the battery will be reduced and the device may
stop during use. In this case have an alternative power source, such as the AC adapter
ready.
Do not use the main unit, AC adapter, rechargeable battery, or battery charger while
they are wet, or connect them to a power outlet or other devices with wet hands.
The compressor, AC adapter, rechargeable battery and charger are not waterproof. Do
not spill water, or other liquids, on these parts. If liquid does spill on these parts,
immediately unplug the AC adapter and wipe off the liquid with gauze or other
absorbent material. Do not use in wet or damp locations.
Do not use or store the device in humid locations, such as a bathroom.

Do not immerse the device including rechargeable battery and battery charger in water
or other liquid.
Do not connect the battery connector located on the bottom side of the unit to the
rechargeable battery terminal using wire or other metallic conductors.
When using the carrying bag to carry the rechargeable battery, do not place hair pins,
or other metal objects in the bag.
Use only the original AC adapter designed for this unit for AC power outlets. Use of
unsupported AC adapters may damage the device.
Do not use the battery with any device other than the compressor.
Use only the battery charger to charge the battery. The use of unsupported chargers
may damage the battery, or pose a fire or electric shock hazard.
Although this device fulfils the provisions of the EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility)
directive, the use of it should be avoided in direct vicinity of other electric devices.
(Maintenance and Storage)
Store the device and accessories in a clean location.
Always clean and rinse the nebulizing parts with clean hot tap water after disinfecting
them. Never leave the cleaning solution in the nebulizing parts.
Be sure to wash the parts after use, and dry the parts immediately after washing them.
Keep the device out of the reach of unsupervised infants and children. The device may
contain small pieces that can be swallowed.
Do not store the air tube while there is moisture or medication remaining inside it.
Do not dispose of the battery in fire or expose it to high temperatures.

(Usage)
Provide close supervision when this device is used by, on, or near children or invalids.
Make sure that the vaporiser head, air filter, and other parts are attached correctly.
Make sure that the air filter is clean. If the air filter has changed colour, or has been
used on average for more than 60 days, replace it with a new one.
Do not tilt the nebulizer kit so that it is at an angle of greater than 45°, or shake it
while in use.
Do not use or store the device while the air tube is bent.
Approved for human use only.

Use only original OMRON nebulizing parts, air tubes, air filters, and air filter covers.
Use of unsupported parts may damage the device.
Do not add more than 7 ml of medication to the medication cup.
Do not drop the compressor, nebulizer kit, or the rechargeable battery, charger or
subject them to strong shocks.

Do not distort the vaporiser head, or jab the nozzle of the medication cup with a pin etc.
Do not cover the compressor, rechargeable battery and charger with a blanket or towel
etc., during use.
Do not insert fingers or objects inside the device.
Do not attempt to insert anything through the slotted opening on the side of the
charger or place anything in front of it that might block it.
Do not leave the device or its parts where is will be exposed to extreme temperatures
or changes in humidity, such as in a vehicle during the summer, or where it will be
exposed to direct sunlight.
Do not block the air filter cover.
Do not disassemble or attempt to repair the compressor or the AC adapter,
rechargeable battery or charger.
To avoid injury to the nose mucosa, do not squeeze the nosepiece into the back of the
nose.
Do not block the slit between the cap and the inhalation air inlet.
Do not use a microwave oven or hair dryer to dry the nebulizing parts.
Changes or modifications not approved by OMRON HEALTHCARE will void the
user warranty.
Only use or charge the battery at temperatures within the range of +10˚C to +40˚C.
(Risk of electrical shock)
Plug the device into the appropriate voltage outlet. Do not overload power outlets or
use extension cords.
Always remove the battery and AC adapter from the device after use or after charge.
Always unplug the device from the power outlet after use.
Always unplug the device before cleaning.
Do not abuse the cord of the AC adapter.
(Maintenance and Storage)
Do not carry or leave the nebulizer while the medication cup contains medication.
When sterilising parts by boiling, make sure that the container does not boil dry.
Never place, or attempt to dry the compressor, AC adapter or nebulizing parts in a
microwave oven.

General Safety Precautions:
Inspect the device and parts before using them each time, and check that there are no
problems. In particular, be sure to check the following:
- That the vaporiser head, nozzle or air tube are not damaged.
- That the nozzle is not blocked.
- That the compressor operates normally.
When using this device, there will be some noise and vibration caused by the pump in
the compressor. There will also be some noise caused by the emission of compressed
air from the nebulizer kit. This is normal and does not indicate a malfunction, or
reduce the working life of the device.
Limit use to 20 minutes at a time, and allow a 40 minute interval before using the
device again.
Operate the device only as intended. Do not use the device for any other purpose.
Make sure that the air tube is securely attached to the compressor (main unit) and
nebulizing parts, and does not come loose. Twist the air tube slightly when inserting it
into the connectors to avoid the tube disconnecting during use.
Do not use the device at temperatures greater than +40°C.
Do not spill liquid or medication on the battery connector, rechargeable battery or
charger connector, or allow them to become dusty. Immediately wipe off the liquid or
dust with gauze or other absorbent material.
Dispose of the device and any used accessories or optional parts according to
applicable local regulations. Unlawful disposal may cause environmental pollution.
When replacing a battery, dispose of, or recycle the old battery as described in
“Disposal of Batteries” on page 26.
Always recharge the battery before using it again. Even if the battery has been fully
charged after the previous use, its operating time can be reduced due to self-discharge.
If the battery is not used for approximately 10 days after being charged, the battery
capacity will be reduced to about half that of normal due to self-discharge of the
battery power. If the battery will not be used for a long time, use the battery until the
charge indicator on the main unit lights (to fully discharge the battery) before
charging it.
The AC adapter is provided so that the unit can be completely isolated from the power
source. To completely isolate the unit from the power source unplug the AC adapter
from the power source.

HOW THE NEBULIZER KIT WORKS
The medication that is pumped up through the
medication channel is mixed with compressed
air which is generated by a compressor pump.
The compressed air mixed with medication is
turned into fine particles and sprayed by being
impacted to the baffle.

WARNING:

Important notes on using the rechargeable battery
• Charge the battery before using it for the first time. The battery is not charged at the
time of shipment.
• Use the charger to charge the battery. The battery takes about 3 hours to charge
fully.
• A fully charged battery can be used to operate the device for approximately 35
minutes, when used within the normal operating temperature range.
NOTE:
Limit use to 20 minutes at a time, and allow a 40 minute interval before using the
device again.
• Use the battery until the charge indicator on the main unit lights.
• Always recharge the battery before using it again. Even if the battery has been fully
charged after the previous use, its operating time can be reduced due to
self-discharge.

3) Attach the battery to the charger.
Align the connector on the battery and charger,
and press the battery until it clicks into place.
Charging starts and the green charging indicator
blinks.
The green charging indicator blinks while the
battery is charging and remains lit when the
battery is fully charged. A full charge takes
about 3 hours.
NOTE:
The charge time is only a guide. The actual charge time will vary according to
the conditions under which the battery is charged.

2. After the battery is fully charged, remove the battery from the charger.
The green charging indicator changes from blinking to remaining lit continuously
when the battery is fully charged.
1) While pressing the button on the side of the
battery, lift the battery off the charger.
2) Unplug the AC adapter from the power outlet,
then disconnect the charger.
NOTES:
• If the charging indicator does not blink when the battery is mounted correctly,
immediately disconnect the charger and refer to “Troubleshooting Tips” on
page 28.
• When charging a battery, check that the charging indicator blinks to indicate that
the battery is charging.
• When removing a battery from the charger, make sure that the charging indicator
is lit.
3. Mount the compressor on the battery.
Align the connector on the bottom of the compressor with that on the battery and mount
the compressor on the battery. Push the compressor down until it clicks into place.
NOTE:
To separate the compressor and battery, press the push
button on the side of the battery and lift the compressor off
the battery.

Battery Operation Time
When the battery is fully charged (approx. 3 hours), it can be used to operate the
compressor for about 35 minutes. However, the operation time will vary according to the
following conditions.
• The battery charge level.
• Operating conditions.
• Number of charge/discharge cycles.
Battery Life
Fully charge the battery and use the unit until the charge indicator on the main unit
lights. Repeat the charge/use cycle when using the battery to power the unit.
The battery can be charged approximately 300 times. After 300 charges the operating
capacity of the battery will be reduced to about half its normal capacity. We therefore
recommend that you replace the battery with a new one after 300 charges. (If the battery
is charged once each day and is used for three sessions each day, the battery should last
for approximately one year.)
NOTES:
• The operation time may deteriorate depending on the operating conditions. Refer to
the below section “About the Memory Effect” for details.
• If the battery is stored at high temperatures, the battery capacity will gradually
deteriorate. In addition, if the battery will not be used for a long period, store the
battery at a temperature between –20˚C and +30˚C.
If the battery will not be used for a long time
• If the battery is not used for approximately 10 days after being charged, the battery
capacity will be reduced to about half that of normal due to self-discharge of the
battery power. If the battery will not be used for a long time, use the battery until the
charge indicator on the main unit lights (to fully discharge the battery) before charging
it.
About the Memory Effect
• If the battery is repeatedly charged before it has fully discharged, the operating time
possible for each charge will gradually be reduced. This is known as the “memory
effect” and is normal for nickel metal hydride (NiMH) batteries. It does not indicate a
battery error or malfunction.
• If the operating time for each charge become reduced, fully charge the battery and
operate the device until the unit stops operating (rather than when the charge indicator
lights) two or three times in a row. This should restore the battery capacity to normal.
If the battery capacity still does not return to normal, replace the battery with a new
one.

HOW TO ADD MEDICATION AND ASSEMBLING THE PARTS
1. Remove the mouthpiece and cap from the nebulizer kit.
2. Remove the inhalation top from the medication cup.
1) Rotate the inhalation top counter clockwise.
2) Lift the inhalation top out of the medication cup.
3. Remove the vaporiser head from the medication cup.
4. Add the correct amount of prescribed medication to the
medication cup.
CAUTION:
The capacity of the medication cup is
2 to 7 ml.
5. Reattach the vaporiser head to the medication cup.

6. Put the inhalation top back inside the medication cup.
1) Align the protrusion on the inhalation top with the
indent on the medication cup, as shown.
2) Rotate the inhalation top clockwise and align with
the medication cup until they click in place.
7. Attach the desired inhalation attachment, as described below.
Attach the cap when using the mouthpiece or optional nosepiece. Using the cap with
these attachments will reduce the amount of medication that is discharged into the air.
Attaching the Mouthpiece
1) Attach the cap to the inhalation air inlet.
2) Attach the mouthpiece to the inhalation top.
Attaching the Adult Mask
Attach the mask to the inhalation top.
NOTE:
Do not attach the cap.

Attaching the Nosepiece (Option)
1) Attach the cap to the inhalation air inlet.
2) Attach the nosepiece to the inhalation top.
8.Attach the air tube.
1) Attach the air tube to the air connector on the compressor.
2) Attach the other end of the air tube to the air tube connector on the medication cup.
NOTES:
• Make sure that the air tube is securely attached to the compressor (main unit) and
nebulizing parts, and does not come loose. Twist the
air tube slightly when inserting it into the connectors
to avoid the tube disconnecting during use.
• Take care not to spill the medication when attaching
the air tube. Keep the nebulizer kit upright.
• Use the nebulizer kit holder as a temporary holder for
the nebulizer kit as shown.

1. Hold the nebulizer kit as indicated on the right.
CAUTION:
Do not tilt the nebulizer kit so that it
is at an angle of greater than 45°.
Medication may flow into the
mouth.
2. Press the power switch.
The compressor starts and nebulization starts.
NOTES:
• The green light shows that the power is on.
• Perform functional test, observe whether
aerosol is generated.
To stop nebulization
Press the power switch again. The light goes out.
CAUTION:
Do not block the air filter cover.
NOTE:
Limit use to 20 minutes at a time, and allow a 40 minute interval before using the
device again.
