Quick Start for the InTemp® CX Temperature Logger (CX40x)
1 Install two AAA batteries in the logger, observing polarity.
Insert the battery door in the back of the logger making sure it
is flush with the rest of the logger case. Use the included screw
and a Phillips-head screwdriver to screw the battery door into
place.
2 Insert the external temperature probe (if applicable).
3 Download InTemp to
your phone or tablet.
4 If you downloaded the app from Google Play™: Skip to step 5.
If you downloaded the app from the App Store®: You have
the option to also use this logger with InTempConnect, web-
based software where you can monitor logger deployments
and view downloaded data. If you want to also use the logger
with InTempConnect, follow these steps:
a. Go to www.intempconnect.com and follow the prompts to
set up an administrator account. You’ll receive an email to
activate the account.
b. Log in to the account at www.intempconnect.com and add
users to your InTemp account. Click Settings and then the
Users tab. Click Add and enter the email address and first
and last name of the user. Note: If your organization is
already using InTempConnect, contact your administrator
to receive a user name and password to the account.
c. New users will receive an email to activate their user
accounts.
5 Open the InTemp app. Enable Bluetooth® in your device
settings if prompted.
6 If you are using both the app and InTempConnect (available
for iOS users only): Log in with your InTempConnect user
credentials.
If you are using the app only: Set up a local user account and
tap Save. Log in to your account when prompted.

From the Loggers screen, find the logger in the list and then
tap the logger to connect to it. If the logger does not appear,
make sure it is within range of your device.
8 Once connected, tap Configure. Swipe left and right to select
one of the preset logger configurations. Type a deployment
name. Tap Start to load the selected configuration to the
logger and start logging. Note: To set up a custom
configuration, tap the Settings icon and tap CX400 Logger
Configurations.
9 To download the logger, connect to the logger and tap
Download. A report is generated that you can share (and also
uploaded to InTempConnect if applicable). Tap the Reports
icon to view reports previously downloaded to the device, and
swipe left for more options.
10 If you need to perform daily logger checks, use the Record
CX400 Logger Checks option under Settings. Connect to the
logger and tap Perform (Morning, Afternoon, or Daily) Check.
