SAFETY AND CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Safety Precautions
Please observe the following safety precautions when setting
up and using this product.
• LCD panel - The LCD panel is made of glass, and may
break if the unit is dropped or impacted.
• Heat sources - Keep the product away from heat sources
such as radiators, stoves, heaters, and other
heat-generating products.
• Water and moisture - Do not use the product in or near
water or in high moisture areas such as a bathroom.
Caring for your Product
To ensure you receive the maximum benefit from using this
product, please observe the following guidelines.
• Cleaning - Use a damp cloth. Do not use liquid cleaning
agents, benzene, thinner, or aerosols.
• Ventilation - The vents and other openings are designed
for ventilation, and should not be blocked or covered.
Blocking the vents can cause the product to overheat, and
can damage the unit.
• Repair - Do not attempt to repair the product or modify the
circuitry by yourself. Contact the retailer or a qualified
repairman if the product requires servicing. Only use
replacement parts that are recommended by the
manufacturer.
• Do not scratch hard objects against the LCD display as this
may cause damage.
GETTING STARTED
Unpacking the product
When you unpack your clock, make sure to keep all the packing
materials in a safe place, in case you need to later transport or
return it for servicing.

Batteries
When using the product for the first time, please note
that the batteries have already been installed in the unit.
To operate, locate the clear plastic battery tab inside the
battery compartment and remove it.
To load the batteries:

1. Locate the battery compartment.
2. Install the batteries by matching the correct
polarity.Alwaysusethe correct battery type
(2 UM-3 AA-sized 1.5V batteries).
Warning: Reversing the polarity may
damage the product.
Replace the batteries whenever the weak battery
mark ( ) is shown, the display is dim, or the display does not
illuminate when the power is on. Replace all the batteries at the
same time - it is dangerous to mix old and new batteries.
Contact your local waste disposal authority for instructions on
how to dispose of used batteries. Used batteries can be
harmful to the environment, and should not be thrown out with
household trash.
Placement of Unit
You can either mount the main unit on a wall or make it stand
on a flat surface.

The unit is already equipped with a Table
Stand. Simply pull out the Table Stand
and rest the main unit on a flat surface.

Mount The main unit can be mounted onto a wall
using a No. 6 screw (3.0mm).
a) Position and nail the screw into the
place where you would like to hang
your main unit.
b) Leave ample space between the wall
and the screw head while testing to
make sure the nail is secure.
c) Fit the unit’s Wall-Mount Recess Hole
onto the screw head.

Indoor Temperature Display
Soon after the clear plastic battery tab has been removed, the
unit immediately reads and displays the surrounding indoor
temperature.
Toggling between Seconds/Day-of-Week Display
To toggle between displaying seconds or day-of-week on the
LCD screen, press CLOCK.
RADIO RECEPTION
This product is designed to synchronize its calendar clock
automatically once it is brought within range of the radio signal.
When the unit is receiving the signal, the Radio Reception
symbol with start to blink. Generally, complete reception takes
around 2 to 10 minutes, depending on the strength of the signal.

Radio Reception Description
Reception can be affected by a number of factors. For
best reception, place the device away from metal objects and
electrical appliances. Other causes for signal interference
include electrical transmission towers, steel reinforced
construction, and metal siding. Reception is ideal when placed
near a window.
Even though there are areas that may have more difficulty in
receiving a signal, the Atomic Clock contains accurate quartz
movement and will retain precise timing if the signal is missed
on a rare occasion.

Enabling/Disabling Radio Reception
To manually disable the reception of the RF signal,
press and hold [UP ] and [DOWN ]simultaneously for
2 seconds until the Radio Reception symbol completely
disappears.
To enable the reception again, press and hold [UP ] and
[DOWN ]simultaneouslyfor 2seconds.TheRadio Reception
symbol will blink and the unit will search for the RF*¤ignal
automatically.
TO SET THE CLOCK MANUALLY
To adjust the clock settings manually without automatic
RF synchronization, remember to disable the Radio Reception
first. Press once or press and hold [UP ]or [DOWN ]
to adjust the value of each setting.

1. When the alarm sounds, you
can turn it off by pressing

ALARM is pressed.

Displaying Alarm Time
By default, the unit’s LCD screen displays the current date and
month. To display the alarm time instead:
1. LCD screen displays the current date and month.
2. Press the ALARM button.
3. The currently set Alarm Time is now displayed.

Adjusting the Alarm Time
Make sure that the Alarm Time is currently displayed on the
LCD screen.
1. Press and hold the ALARM button for 2 seconds.
2. Adjust the hour of the Alarm Time. Press ALARM when
done.
3. Adjust the minute of the Alarm Time. Press ALARM
when done.
4. Adjusted Alarm Time now displayed.

RESET HOLE
If the clock behaves strangely or
stops responding, insert and press
a blunt stylus into the clock’s Reset
Hole. The clock will then be reset
to its original factory setting.

Gracias por elegir el Reloj JUMBO con Termómetro Interior
radiocontrolado. Este producto ha sido diseñado para
proporcionarle muchos años de servicio, destacando las

Precauciones de seguridad
Tenga en cuenta las siguientes precauciones de seguridad
cuando utilice este producto.
• Panel LCD - El panel LCD puede romperse si la unidad se
cae o si se golpea.
• Fuentes de calor - Mantenga este producto alejado de
fuentes de calor, como radiadores, estufas, calefactores y
otros productos que generen calor.
• Agua y humedad - No utilice este producto cerca de zonas
de agua o humedad, como el cuarto de baño.
Cómo cuidar este producto
Para asegurarse de recibir máximos beneficios al utilizar este
producto, por favor tenga en cuenta los siguientes consejos.
• Limpieza - Utilice un trapo húmedo. No utilice líquidos de
limpieza, benceno, tiner o aerosoles.
• Ventilación - Las aberturas y demás orificios están
diseñados para la ventilación, por consiguiente no deben
ser bloqueados ni cubiertos. Si lo hace, el producto puede
sobrecalentarse, dañando así la unidad.
• Reparación - No intente reparar el producto o modificar
usted mismo el sistema de circuitos. Póngase en contacto

ser reparado. Utilice solamente los repuestos
recomendados por el fabricante.
• No raye la pantalla de cristal líquido con objetos duros ya
que ésto puede dañarla.

Cómo desembalar el reloj
Cuando desembale su reloj, asegúrese de guardar la caja en
un lugar seguro, ya que lo puede necesitar en caso de avería.

Pilas
Con el producto se entregan 2 pilas UM-3/ AA de 1.5 V.
Ya están instaladas así que asegúrese de que se ha retirado
lalengüeta de plástico transparentedentrodel compartimiento
de la pila antes de hacer funcionar el producto.
Para colocar las pilas:

1. Ubique el compartimiento para las pilas
2. Inserte las pilas según las polaridades que
se muestran. Utilice siempre el tipo
adecuado de pilas (2 pilas UM-3 AA
de 1,5V).
Advertencia: Si revierte la polaridad, se
puede estropear el producto.
Reemplace las pilas cuando aparezca el ícono de pila
baja ( ), cuando la pantalla de cristal líquido esté tenue o
cuando la pantalla no se ilumine al encenderla. Reemplace
todas las pilas al mismo tiempo - no es aconsejable mezclar
pilas usadas con las nuevas.
Comuníquese con el organismo local de eliminación de
desperdicios si necesita instrucciones sobre como desechar
las pilas usadas, ya que éstas pueden ser perjudiciales para el
medioambienteynodeberíansertiradasen labasuradoméstica.

que el tornillo esté seguro.
c) Coloque el reloj, acoplando el hueco
destinado para el tornillo con el tornillo
mismo.

Pantalla con la temperatura interior
Justo después de sacar el separador de plástico, la unidad lee
ymuestrainmediatamentelatemperaturainterior del ambiente.
Cambioentre la pantalla conlossegundos/díade la semana
Para cambiar entre la pantalla con los segundos o el día de la
semana en la pantalla LCD, presione el CLOCK (RELOJ).
LA RECEPCIÓN DE RADIO
Este producto fue diseñado para sincronizar automáticamente
su reloj cuando se encuentra dentro del alcance de la señal de
radio. Cuando la unidad está recibiendo la señal, el icono de
Recepción de Radio comienza a parpadear. Generalmente, la
recepción completa tarda alrededor de 2 a 10 minutos,
dependiendo de la fuerza de la señal.

La recepción de radio Descripción
La recepción puede ser afectada por distitnos factores.
Para tener una mejor recepción, coloque el reloj alejado de
objetos metálicos y de electrodomésticos. Otras causas de
interferencia de señal incluyen a las torres eléctricas de
transmisión, construcciones reforzadas de acero y
revestimientos exteriores metálicos. La recepción ideal se
logra cuando se coloca el producto cerca de una ventana.
Aunque existen áreas en las que puede haber más dificultad
para recibir la señal, el reloj atómico contiene el movimiento de
cuarzo exacto y mantendrá la sincronización precisa aun
cuando se haya perdido la señal.
