The cRIOPBmoduleisaPROFIBUSDPMaster/SlavemoduleforNationalInstruments
CompactRIO, Single-BoardRIOsystems.Theconfigurationentirelytakesplacebymeansof
thedeliveredsoftware. Thus, nojumpersorDIP-switchadjustmentsarenecessary.
Tomountthemoduleinthe CompactRIO orSingle-BoardRIOproceedasfollows:
•Switchoff theCompactRIO orSingle-BoardRIO
•PlugthecRIO PBmoduleintoslot1until it snapsin.
Payattentiontoaproperadjustmentof theboardinthe guidance(avoidcanting!).
Importantnote: TheCompactRIO PROFIBUSDPmodulesrequire2.5Wofpower,soyou
must useitinSlot1whileleavingSlot2empty.
Importantnote: TheCompactRIO PROFIBUSDPmodulesissupported onlyin
CompactRIO reconfigurablechassis, suchasanNI cRIO-911x, andNISingle-BoardRIO
devices.
