Open the ashtray and remove it
pressing on the tongue Remove screws 1 and 2
Using the plastic trim tools, unclip
the air conditioning cover
Using the plastic trim tools,
unclip the storage compartment
Insert the removal tools into the
slots on each side of the radio
Unclip, pull and remove the radio
taking care to properly unplug
the connector and the antenna

the button cover

cover located on the left side of the
dashboard
Release the fuse-box cover and the
cover under the steering wheel
Remove the door seal on the
driver’s side

release the headliner (but
without disconnecting)

Microphone passage
Replacing the headliner, glue the
bracket supplied to the carpet, after
degreasing, sliding it underneath
Using a guide, feed the cable from
inside the headliner towards the
windscreen
Using the plastic trim tools, run the
cable under the head liner and down
the windscreen post on the driver’s side
Run the cable replacing the seal
on the driver’s door

Pass the cable into the
dashboard on the left side
Run it, attaching with wire ties, under
the dashboard to the radio

Feeding the accessory cable
Pass a guide from the glove box
towards the radio housing
Pass the cable through the hole at
the bottom inside the glove box
Bring it out leaving sufficient
length
Mount the supplied cover on the
cable

Fitting the hands-free system 1 / 2
Connect the adaptor (86165/9706AP for the CK
or 84744/9704AT for the Mki) to the original
connector and connect all of the wires to the
blue box as shown in the diagram below. Test
before reinstalling then slide the assembly into
the housing of the storage compartment

Glue the supplied mounting
between the air vents (after
degreasing the surface)
With a file or knife, make a notch
just below
Glue the screen support and pass the
cable through the notch. Remount the
buttons (ATTENTION do not cut the
cable)
Pass the cable through the top of
the radio frame
Place the screen and bring out the cable
through the storage compartment

Testing
Before refitting the system, switch the kit on using the
ignition (or by starting the car). By pushing the central knob
of the remote control, check:
1 - that the menu is displayed on the screen (language or
iPod etc)
2 - that the radio system is muted when the kit is in use (click
in the blue box)
3 - that the sound through all speakers is properly muted
4 - that there is sound through the front speakers for spoken
menus
5 - then turn off the ignition, verify that the kit turns off and
that the message “goodbye” is displayed on the screen
(otherwise reverse the fuses on the kit power supply
harness)
6 - pair a telephone with the kit and make a call (check that
both the microphone and the kit are working)

Refitting
Refit the system using the following procedure:
1 - reinstall the radio reconnecting the adapter and antenna
2 - replace the storage compartment
3 - replace the air conditioning cover
4 - replace screws 1 and 2
5 - replace the ashtray
6 - reinstall, by pushing hard, the covers on the fuse box and under the steering
wheel
7 - refit the panel on the left-hand side of the dashboard
