It is necessary to partially disassemble the trim to
replace the cylinder. Take care to not damage the wire
harness. Begin with trim laying face down on table or
other at surface.
INSTALLING / REPLACING
CYLINDER
2. REMOVE BACK PLATE
Using #2 Phillips screwdriver,
remove (4) at head screws that
retain back plate to trim. Remove
back plate and set to the side.
1. REMOVE PIN
Remove cotter pin from drive spindle.
Factory position is in bottom hole and
is set of 1-3/4” thick door. For doors
other than 1-3/4” thick spindle length
must be adjusted.
3. REPLACE CYLINDER
Remove cylinder retaining nut
and replace cylinder. Dierent
cylinders may require dierent
height cylinder collar and
cam. Replace cylinder, install
retaining nut, replace back plate
and drive spindle.
