RLG28: Ausrichtung und Teach-In Deutsch
Einstellanleitung
Für eine sichere Sensorfunktion der RLG28 müssen alle 6 Lichtfleckabbildungen den jeweiligen Reflektor zu gleichen
Anteilen ausleuchten, dafür benötigt die RLG28 ein stabiles Umfeld und eine optimale Installation.
Bei der Montage sind folgende Punkte zu beachten:
• Der Sensor darf nicht ungeteached betrieben werden.
• Der Reflektor sollte hochkant montiert werden.
• Um die Detektion im Sensorfeld sicherzustellen, muss das gesamte Detektionsfeld von 60 mm auf dem Reflektor
abgebildet sein. Sensor und Reflektor sind senkrecht zueinander auszurichten.
• Sensor, Reflektor und Halterungen sind VOR dem Teach-In vollständig zu fixieren.
• Alle Schraubverbindungen sind zu überprüfen.
• Der Einrichtvorgang wird entsprechend der folgenden Einstellanleitung mit Ausrichthilfe durchgeführt und positiv
vom Sensor quittiert (Teach-Ready).
Allgemeine Hinweise
Schritt 1 - Sensor einschalten und Einstellhilfe aktivieren
• LED grün leuchtet
--> Sensor betriebsbereit
• Sensoroptik abdecken
• Teach-In-Taste drücken (> 2 s)
• LED grün blinkt
• Sensoroptik wieder freigeben
--> Einstellhilfe ist aktiviertn

Hinweise:
• Die Einstellhilfe ist nur aktiv, solange die grüne LED blinkt.
• Jeder erkannte Tastendruck wird durch ein kurzes Aufleuchten der LED grün bestätigt.
Symptome und deren Bedeutung
Beobachtung:
• Ein Sensor hat deutlich hellere / dunklere Sende-LEDs als gleiche Sensoren in vergleichbaren Applikationen.
Ursache:
• Der Sensor ist vermutlich nicht erfolgreich in der Applikation geteached worden. Teach-In gemäß dieser Anlei-
tung durchführen.

Schritt 2 - Sensor auf Reflektor ausrichten
Grobausrichtung:
• Sensor auf den Reflektor ausrichten, so dass der Lichtfleck
aller 6 Sender mittig auf dem Reflektor liegt
• LED gelb blinkt, sobald der Lichtfleck den Reflektor teilweise
bedeckt
Feinausrichtung:
• Sensor horizontal und vertikal schwenken, bis die Lichtfleck-Ab-
bildung den Reflektor großflächig abdeckt
Verhalten LEDs gelb beim Ausrichten:
• LED gelb blinkt langsam = schwaches Signal
• LED gelb blinkt schnell = starkes Signal
• LED gelb leuchtet = optimales Signal
--> Ausrichtung ist erfolgt
Sensor ist bereit für Teach-In-Vorgang

Schritt 3 - Teach-In durchführen
• Teach-In-Taste drücken (> 2 s)
• LED grün und gelb blinken
Verhalten LEDs gelb beim Teach-In:
• gleichphasiges Blinken = Einlernvorgang
(Sensor darf nicht verwackelt werden)
• gegenphasiges Blinken = Teach-Ready
• LED grün und gelb leuchten
--> Normalbetrieb: Sensor bereitontage
Kontrolle (optional)
• Sensorbefestigung kontrollieren; Schrauben fest anziehen
• Sensor abdecken
• Teach-In-Taste drücken (> 2 s)
• LED grün blinkt
• Sensoroptik wieder freigeben
--> Einstellhilfe ist aktiviert
Verhalten der LEDs prüfen:
• LED gelb leuchtet = Ausrichtung optimal
• Teach-In-Taste drücken (> 2s)
--> Teach-Vorgang wird erfolgreich abgeschlossen
• LED grün und gelb leuchten
--> Normalbetrieb: Sensor bereito
• LED gelb blinkt = Nachjustage notwendig
--> Schritte 2 und 3 wiederholen

RLG28: Alignment and Teach-In English
Adjustment instructions
All 6 emitted light beams have to illuminate the respective reector in equal proportions for safe operation of the sen-
sor RLG28. This requires a stable environment and RLG28 optimal installation.
The following points must be observed during installation:
• Do not use the sensor without Teach-In.
• Installing the reector vertically.
• To ensure the detection in the sensor eld, the entire detection area of 60 mm has to be imaged on the reector.
Sensor and reector are aligned perpendicular to each other.
• Fix completely the sensor, reector and the mounting supports BEFORE you are Teach-In.
• Check that all screw connections are tightened correctly.
• The setup process done as shown in the following adjustment instructions and positively acknowledged.

General information
Step 1 - Switch on the sensor and activate the alignment aid
• LED lights up green
--> Sensor ready for operation
• Cover the sensor optical face
• Press the Teach-In button (> 2 s)
• Green LED ashes
• Uncover the optical face
--> Alignment aid is activated

Information:
• The alignment aid is active only while the green LED ashes.
• Every detected press of the button is conrmed with a momentary ash of the green LED.
Symptoms and their importance
Effect:
• A sensor is signicantly brighter / darker emit LEDs as radiation sensors in similar applications.
Cause:
• The sensor is probably not successful teached in the application. Teach-In in accordance with these adjustment
instructions.

Step 2 - Align the sensor to the reflector
Rough alignment:
• Align the sensor to the reector so that the light spot is at the
center of the reector
• The yellow LED ashes as soon as the light spot partially covers
the reector
Fine adjustment:
• Turn the sensor horizontally and vertically until the light spot co-
vers the full surface of the reector
Yellow LED sequences during alignment:
• Yellow LED ashes slowly = weak signal
• Yellow LED ashes rapidly = strong signal
• Yellow LED constantly lit = optimum signal
--> Alignment is complete
The sensor is ready for the Teach-In process

Step 3 - Perform the Teach-In process
• Press the Teach-In button (> 2 s)
• Green and yellow LEDs ash
Yellow LED sequences during the Teach-In process:
• Flashes simultaneously = Teach-In in progress
(the sensor should not be disturbed)
• Flashes alternately = Teach-Ready
• Green and yellow LEDs constantly lit
--> Normal mode: Sensor readyIntage
Check (optional)
• Check sensor mounting; tighten the screws
• Cover the sensor
• Press the Teach-In button (> 2 s)
• Green LED ashes
• Uncover the optical face
--> Alignment aid is activated
Check the LEDs:
• Yellow LED constantly lit = optimum alignment
• Press the Teach-In button (> 2s)
--> Teach process is completed
• Green and yellow LEDs constantly lit
--> Normal mode: Sensor readyo
• Yellow LED ashes = readjustment required
--> Repeat steps 2 and 3
