The tilttension adjustmentbalancesyourweightsothe chaircan be
tiltedwithease.The idealtilttension letsyou lean back inyourchair
withminimumeffort, butwithenough resistancetoprovide back
supportatanyposition throughoutthe tiltrange.Normally,this
adjustmentisperformedonce.Toincreaseordecreasetension turn
the knob located on the underside ofthechair,clockwiseor
counter-clockwise.
Toraisethe backrestsimplegrasp
thebackfromeithertop,bottomor
sidesand lift upwardslowly.Listen
forthe distinctive"click"asthe
backrestauto-locks asitmoves
upwardevery½".Tolowerthe
backrest, simplyraisethe back to
maximumheightand allowthe
backresttofall toitslowestposition.
The back heightadjustmentallowsyou toraiseand lowerthe
backrestrelativethe seat. The backrestshouldbe positioned
sothatthesmall ofyourbackiscomfortablysupported bythe
backrestscontoured lumbar.
4.AdjustBackAngle
Toadjustthe backrestanglepull up
on the leverlabeled and lean
forwardorbackwarduntil you have
found acomfortableposition.
Releasetheleverand the backrest
will lockinyourpreferred position.
The backrestangleadjustmentallowsyou toposition the
backrestanglerelativetothe seat. The backrestshould
be adjusted sothatthe anglebetween yourtorsoand
thighsisgreaterthan 90ºand providesfirmsupport
during yourvaried dailytasks.Maintaining constant
contactwiththebackrestatall timewill maximizeyour
overall comfortand will reducemusclefatigue,(sitback
deep inyourchair).

1.AdjustSeatHeight
Toraiseseatheightpull up on the middlelever
labeled and easebodyweightoffofthe seat.
The seatwill raiseautomatically,releasethe leverto
lockthe seatinthe desired position.
Tolowerthe seatheight, pull up on the middlelever
labeled whileall yourbodyweightreston the
seat. Releasethe levertolockthe seatinthe
desired position.
Adjustthe seatsothatyourfeetareresting flaton the floorand
thereisminimalpressureon the back ofyourthighs.Dangling
feetorexcessivepressureon the backofthe thighsmaylead to
restricted blood flow.Ifthe worksurfaceseemstoo high,raise
the seatuntil you areatcomfortableworking heightand usea
footresttosupportyourfeet.

5.AdjustArmrests
Armrestscan be adjusted bothinheightand widthto
comfortablysupportyourforearms.Armrestheight
shouldbe positioned sothatthe shouldersare
relaxed and the anglebetween the forearmand upper
armisgreaterthan 90º.
Toadjustthe armrestverticallyup ordownsimply
squeezethetriggeron the frontofthe armrestand
raiseorlowertoyourdesired position.Releasing the
triggerwill lockthe armintoposition.
Toadjustthe distancebetween the armsloosen the
knobslocated underthe armbracket. Positionthe
spacing betweenthe armstoyourpreferenceand
tighten the knobs.
7.AdjustBackrestDepth(optional)

When activated,the forwardtiltlockoutfeaturemaintainesthe seatangleparellelto
the floorinthe resting postion.You can still free-float(rock)inyourchair.When
de-activatedthe seatisallowed totiltforward(an inclined position of6º)
Toactivateorde-activatethisfeatureyourchairmustbe inthe reclinedposition.To
acivate(limitforwardtilt)the forwardtiltlockoutrotatethe leverlocated directly
beneaththe frontrightcornerofyourseatinacounterclockwisedirection.To
de-activate(allowforwardtilt)rotatethe leverinaclockwisedirection.
You havethe choiceofkeeping the seatina
free -float(rocking)motion orlockedintoone
selectedposition.
Tolockthe seatintoone position,pull up on the
leverlabeled allowing the chairtorock.Find
yourpreferred seating position and thelowerthe
levertothedownposition tolockthe seatangle.
Pulling upon and locking the leverlabeled
inthe up position activatesthe free -float
option.(see tilttension toadjustthefree -float
balance)
The AirAdjustableLumbarallowsyou tocustomizethe
amountoflumbarsupportinthe backresttomeetyour
specificpreference.
Bysimplycompressing the pumpbulb,ordepressing
thereleasevalve,youmaytailortheluimbarcurvature
toyourownneeds.
The seatdepthoption allowsforadjustmentstothe seatdepth
(the distancefromthe frontedge ofthe seattothe backrest)
The seatdepthshouldbe adjusted sothatthereisaspace2-3
fingerwidthbetween the frontedge ofthe seatand thebackof
yourknee.
All Built2Lastchairshaveapproximately7/8"ofseatdepth
adjustmentbuiltintothe baseofthe backbar.Simplylosen the
BackBarKnoband slide the backrestforwardorbackwardas
required.
The SeatSlideroption allowsforup to21/2"ofadditionalseat
depth.Adjustablein1/2"incrementsfromthe seated position.
The SeatSliderisactivated bydepressing theleverlocated
beneaththe frontleft cornerofyourseat. Whilethe leveris
depressed simplyadjustyourseatforwardorbackwardas
necessary.Releasing theleverwill lockyourseatintothe
chosen position.
The Headrestfeatureprovidesadditionalcervicalsupport
andcomfort. Yourheadrestcan be adjustedin1/2"
increments,providing fivedifferentheightsettings.
Simplygraspthe headrestandraise,listen forthe
distinctive"click"thatindicatesthatan auto-lock position.
Tolowerthe headrest, raiseittoitsmaximumheightand
allowthe headresttofall toitslowestposition and push
downwarduntil you heara"click"
