Overview
•360º motion detection (PIR) – Detects presence or absence of
motion and adjusts lights accordingly.
•Low prole recessed ush mount
•Segmented click-up bezel – Masks unused detection areas
•Ambient light level detection (PE) – Allows accurate lighting
control and daylight harvesting.
•Infrared Rx sensor – device enables system control via any RC5
IR remote.
Ceiling Mount Universal Sensor
Read Instructions – We recommend that you read these
instructions prior to commencement of installation.
Check Connections – Ensure that all wiring terminals are securely
connected.
Mounting Location – For indoor use only. Select sensor locations
as per user requirements. Note that the optimal locations for PIR
and PE use may be different, requiring multiple sensors in the
same area.
Data Cable – Use screened, stranded RS485 data cable with three
twisted pairs. Segregate from mains cables by at least 300mm.
Connect devices in a ‘daisy chain’ conguration. A data cable that
is connected to an energized device is live. Do not cut or terminate
live data cables.
Installation – Installation must be done in accordance to the local
wiring code (or wiring rules). Installation of home and building
automation and control systems shall comply with HD60364-4-41.

Installation Steps
1. Fix the sensor to a 64 mm diameter circular hole in a rm section of the ceiling. The mounting position should adhere to the following
guidelines:
•Ceiling height should be between 2.1 m and 4.0 m. Optimum height is 2.4 m.
•Position the sensor at least 1 m away from electrical lighting such as neon and uorescent lights.
•Avoid exposure to direct sunlight and heating/cooling sources.
•Position the sensor where pedestrian trafc is likely to move through the detection zone.
•Note that the sensor coverage area is rectangular, approximately 7.6 m x 5.4 m (at 2.4 m installation height).
•The detection range above is specied for an ambient temperature of 25ºC. This range is reduced at higher temperatures.
2. If needed, pull out and rotate the masking bezel to block a 120º viewing angle.
3. Terminate the DyNet cable as indicated below. If terminated and powered correctly, the red indicator LED turns on for 5 seconds.

Dynalite DYNET-STP-CABLE or equivalent
