Introduction
Especially designed for your vertical growth system, the GreenPower LED production module is the best solution for
new or existing installations. Due to its high energy efficiency and long lifetime, the GreenPower LED production module
is the cost-effective way to improve climate and crop control for indoor cultivation environments.
The GreenPower LED production module is available in several spectral versions and in two lengths; 120 cm and 150 cm.
The GreenPower LED production module is available for two regions:
• North America (NA)
• Rest of world: global, except North America and Japan (ROW)
For each region dedicated accessories (such as cabling, connectors) are available for an easy and quick installation.
This application guide describes all important technical and safety information of the GreenPower LED production module.

Important
Influencing factors of light output
As ambient temperature increases, both the photon flux and the photon flux maintenance will decrease.
Pollution or damage of optics will also impact the light output.
Thermal protection
The GreenPower LED production module has a built-in thermal protection device. If the temperature of the module
exceeds 50 °C / 122 °F the module will blink a few times and then shut off. After cooling down the module will switch
on again automatically.
Photobiological hazard
Photobiological safety of lamps and lamp systems (EN 62471).
This International Standard describes the photobiological safety of lamps and lamp systems including luminaires.
The rating of the GreenPower LED production module according to this standard can be found in the technical
specifications.
Risk Group 2:
Do not stare at the operating light source.
The philosophical basis for this classification is
that the lamp does not pose a hazard due to
the aversion response to very bright light sources
or due to the thermal discomfort.
Light source not replaceable
The light source of this fixture is not replaceable. When the light source reaches its end-of-life, the whole fixture
needs to be replaced.
Cable not replaceable
The external flexible cable or cord of this luminaire cannot be replaced. If the cord is damaged, the luminaire shall be
destroyed.
Not for outdoor use
Modules are not suited to outdoor use (UV effects on material, discoloring).
Caution: Possibly hazardous optical
radiation emitted from this product.
Do not stare at operating lamp.
May be harmful to the eye.

Option 1
Mount the GreenPower LED production module with bolts
or self-tapping screws, diameter 4.3 mm / 0.17 in. These
screws must be made of austenitic stainless steel to avoid
electrolytic corrosion.
Option 2
Mount the GreenPower LED production module
to a shelf with the mounting bracket. Brackets must be
mounted in alternating order left and right. Number of clips
per module: minimal 2, preferably 3.

Automatic locking mechanism

Use of the connector
IP66 and UL/CSA rating
When closing the connector, be certain the two snap
tight for a tight seal. Otherwise, the units are not
protected from moisture and the IP66 and UL/CSA
rating for wet locations will be void.

Option 2
For connecting the module to the mains power, there are
two options:
Option 1 - Power cable for module
Install the GreenPower LED production module by means of
the GreenPower LED power cable for module.
Option 2 - Cable tree with 2-10 branches
Install the GreenPower LED production module by means of
the GreenPower LED production 2.1 cable tree. Connect this
cable tree to the grid with the GreenPower LED power cable
for cable tree.
Connect all power cables to a junction box. Make sure all
junction boxes are mounted to a rigid structure. Cables must
be secured by a cord grip / strain relief. Use a cord grip
suitable for use with three conductor and type off cord
suitable for the trade size of the junction box provided by
others, if needed.
Any unused connector (both power and data) must be
secured and sealed with an end cap (see ordering data).
Otherwise the IP66 and UL rating for wet locations will
be void.

Cable tree design guidelines
Cable trees can be customized to create the most optimal
solution for each project. It can be ordered with a minimum
of 2 and a maximum of 10 branches. Lengths A, B, C and D
are determined based on the installation layout, with the
following design restrictions:
• Total length < 10 m = A + n x B + D (n = number of branches - 1)
• Length A,B,C and D > 0.25 m

Please contact your sales representative in case you want to
know more about this solution.
Cable trees can be daisy-chained. Maximum load on all
interconnected cable trees may not exceed 20 Amps.
The inrush current for the GreenPower LED production
modules is according to the table, also with
a calculation example of the maximum amount of
GreenPower LED production module on a single circuit
breaker.
Turn off and disconnect the power before installation.
Installation must be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with all national and local electrical and
construction codes and regulations.
• Make sure that power cords are routed in a manner that will prevent incidental damage
• Use wet-rated (IP66) junction boxes which are also suitable for the power cords used in the application.
• Use a strain-relief or power cord grip if needed.
• Use a cable gland suitable for use with three conductor and type off cord suitable for the trade size of the junction
box provided by others, if needed.
• DO NOT connect to live power until installation is complete.
• DO NOT attempt to install or use until you have read and understood the installation instructions of this product
contained in the Quick Installation Guide, this Application Guide and safety labels.
• DO NOT modify or alter the product; doing so will void the warranty.
