Important information
Please read this guide carefully before using the Bluetooth headset.
Please keep it for future reference.
•Do not open the device or the power supply.
•Do not use the device in rain, or in damp or wet environments.
•Clean the device and the power supply only with a dry cloth.
•Do not use other power supplies for your Bluetooth headset.
•Caution: risk of electric shock. Do not use power supply near water.
•Hearing safety! Continuous use at high volume may permanently
damage your hearing.
•The socket outlet shall be installed near the equipment and shall be
easily accessible

Setting up your Bluetooth headset
Charging the battery for the first time
Four hours’ charging time is required the first time you charge your
Bluetooth headset’s battery. For detailed information please read the
charging instructions in the chapter “Using your Bluetooth headset”.

Pairing your Bluetooth headset to your mobile phone
Your Bluetooth headset must be paired to your mobile phone
before they are able to communicate. Please make sure your mobile
phone supports Bluetooth technology and is in range (e.g. within 5
meters). Read your mobile phone instructions how to connect to
Bluetooth devices (Bluetooth headsets or audio devices)
Your Bluetooth headset enters easy pairing mode automatically at
the first time of use. In any other cases follow the instructions below.
1Press the ON/OFF&SEND/END button for 10 seconds.
>The STATUS light indicates pairing mode by flashing fast green.
Pairing mode is now active for 30 seconds.
2Follow the instructions of your mobile phone to start the pairing
process.
The Bluetooth equipment search process can take a few seconds.
>Your mobile phone finds the Bluetooth headset as
PHILIPS BVOX.

If a pairing PIN-CODE is requested, the default code for your
Bluetooth headset is: 0000.
Once the Bluetooth headset is paired to your mobile phone it will
reconnect automatically when:
•it is switched on;
•it tries to reconnect for 20 seconds after a link loss;
•STATUS light blinks fast green by pressing a button;
•STATUS light blinks fast green by request from your mobile phone.
Resetting your Bluetooth headset
To pair the Bluetooth headset again or to pair it to another mobile
phone you have to reset the Bluetooth headset.
1Press the ON/OFF&SEND/END button for 10 seconds.
Now you can pair your Bluetooth headset to a mobile phone.

Using your Bluetooth headset
Turning On/Off the Bluetooth headset
ON: Press the ON/OFF&SEND/END button for 3 seconds.
>You will hear the ON tone and the STATUS light flashes green.
The Bluetooth headset is now in search mode (green fast
blinking).
OFF: Press the ON/OFF&SEND/END button for 3 seconds.
>The STATUS light indicates OFF by a green flash and a red flash.
Low Battery Status
STATUS light will slowly blink red and a signal tone is played when
the battery needs recharging. During an ongoing call the signal tone
indicates less than 5 minutes’ speaking time.

Charging the battery
1Plug the USB power adapter to your computer’s USB port or to
the power supply.
If you are using the power supply, plug it into the mains supply.
2Plug the USB power adapter into the power supply socket.
>STATUS light blinks fast red during charging.
Charging time is approximately 2 hours.

>STATUS light stays permanently on green when the battery is fully
charged.
During charging you can use your Bluetooth headset.
Adjusting the ear hook
1Adjust the ear hook to the most comfortable position by selecting
one of the three possible earhook positions.
