1. PREMIUM BACK
This adjustable-tension back has been designed to provide additional comfort
and adjustability for clients with spinal deformities such as kyphosis (outward
curvature of the upper back). The 1” bilateral straps can be individually
tightened or loosened as needed.

3. SAFETY RULES
Do not use this equipment without having read and understood this
user manual in its entirety. This manual includes critical information
intended to ensure the safety of the user and the individuals who
handle the wheelchair.
Installing a back support on a wheelchair may aect the center
of gravity of the wheelchair and may cause the wheelchair to tip
backwards, potentially resulting in injury. Always assess for the
potential need for antitippers or amputee axle adapter brackets to
be added to the wheelchair to help increase stability
Do not use Premium Back to push or lift wheelchair. Improper use
may cause the back to unexpectedly detach from the wheelchair.

4. LATERALS INSTALLATION
(for backrest with laterals)
ADJUSTING THE WIDTH BETWEEN THE LATERALS
1. Determine the desired location of the laterals.
2. Attach and align receiver.
3. Repeat the process for the second lateral

4.1 Installing the contoured laterals
Make sure a Velcro strip is xed on the lateral plate facing the inside. (Figure 6.1)
Insert your hand in the cushion through the cover opening to prevent the Velcro strips
from touching each other while you place the cushion. (Figure 6.2)
Start inserting the cushion by the top of the lateral. (Figure 6.3)
Push down while making sure the cover opening passes around the plate by making a
downward rotating movement. (Figure 6.4)
Place the cushion, remove your hand from the cover and push a few times on the front
of the cushion to make sure the Velcro strips are hooked. (Figure 6.5)

Insert your hand inside the contoured cushion between the plate and the cushion to
unhook the Velcro strips.
Move the cover opening down the lateral plate and remove the cushion with an upward
rotating movement.
Fold the cushion in the cover. (Figure 6.7)
Carefully and slowly take the cushion out of the cover opening. (Figure 6.8)
Completely remove the cushion. (Figure 6.9)

5. PREMIUM BACK INSTALLATION
1. Install the two top horizontal adjustment straps to the back canes using
the self-tap screws.
2. Insert each strap through the locking buckles
3. Adjust each strap individually to the desired tension
4. Install the Premium back between the laterals
5. Install the pad on the laterals
Over-tightening the strap assembly may cause damage to the
integrity of the back canes.

7. ADJUSTMENT
1. Lift up the back cover ap to expose the horizontal straps.
2. Adjust each strap individually to the desired tension.
3. Fold down the back cover ap over the horizontal adjustment straps to
complete your adjustment.
Ensure that the strap assembly is not over-tighten.
Over-tightening the strap assembly may cause damage to the
integrity of the back canes.

8. CARE AND MAINTENANCE
The maintenance of the PREMIUM Back is essential; therefore you will extend
its lifetime and ensure its safety. Physipro recommends that the PREMIUM
Back be checked for wear and tear every 6 months. Make sure that the lateral
are fastened properly when receiving and veried it each week. Do not
continue to use the system after identifying loose or broken components.
CLEANING
Outer cover
Wipe down the outer cover with a soft cloth, warm soap and water. The outer
cover can be machine wash in warm water on a gentle cycle.
Air dry the outer cover.
NOTE
Remove the foam from inside the cover prior to machine washing
The foam core may be washed by hand with light soap and water
Strap Assembly
Wipe down strap assembly as needed using light soap and warm water.
NOTE
Do not machine wash the strap assembly.

9. WARRANTY
The PREMIUM back, a product of Physipro inc., is covered with our twenty-
four (24) months manufacturer’s warranty. It includes parts and labor on
manufacturer’s defects, optional parts, and all new parts replaced by your
dealer or an authorized establishment from the date of delivery or replacement.
Physipro inc. will repair or replace the defective parts as long as the warranty is
valid. You will have to contact Physipro inc. or an authorized dealer to obtain
your warranty services. Do not return your backrest without prior consent. If you
are not satised with the repairs, please send us a written complaint with your
dealer’s name, address and delivery date to the address on this manual cover.
Exclusions and limitations
This warranty does not apply to products that were intentionally or
accidentally altered, misused, neglected or did not have the proper
maintenance. Furthermore, this warranty does not apply if repairs or
modications were done without a written consent from Physipro inc.,
or an authorized dealer. The same restrictions apply if any other kind of
damages were done without Physipro inc. involvement. This warranty
will not apply for everyday use or failure to respect the rules in this manual.
Physipro inc. will not take any responsibilities for damages incurred during
shipping.
Terms and Conditions
The seat cushions and backrests are reserved exclusively for use on mobility aid
(manual or power wheelchairs) Physipro will not be held responsible for any
misuse of the product. Crash tests have not been conducted on these products
and even if the mobility aid in which it is installed has obtained the ISO-717619,
it will not be maintained.
The respect of the safety instructions mentioned in this manual is essential to
avoid injury. Improper or inadequate adjustment increases the risk of accident.
Before making adjustments, it is important to read the entire contents of this
manual. Physipro will not be held responsible for misuse or non professional
adjustment.
The product presented in this manual may not be an exact representation of
the product you have on hand. The instructions in this manual are still valid
for your product. Physipro reserves the right to modify or change this manual
without notice.

Le dossier Premium est le dernier-né des dossiers modulaires à tension
réglable de Physipro. Son concept de courroies bilatérales réglables
individuellement permet de personnaliser chaque dossier et ainsi orir un
support dorsal parfait à ses usagers.

et d’options permettant de personnaliser ce produit en fonction des besoins
particuliers de l’utilisateur. Pour de plus amples détails, vous êtes invités à nous
contacter ou à consulter le bon de commande
Les courroies de 1 po (2,5 cm) peuvent être réglées aussi souvent que nécessaire.
Elles facilitent également l’installation du dossier sur les cannes du fauteuil et,
par la suite, il est possible de détacher uniquement le coussin pour le lavage,
tout en laissant les courroies sur le fauteuil.

3. Règles de sécurité
Ne pas utiliser cet équipement sans avoir bien lu et compris le
présent manuel d’utilisation dans sa totalité. Celui-ci renferme des
informations indispensables qui permettent d’assurer la sécurité de
l’usager et des individus mis en contact avec le dossier PREMIUM.
L’installation d’un dossier sur un fauteuil peut aecter le centre de
gravité du fauteuil, causer un basculement et blesser l’utilisateur.
Toujours préconiser l’ajout d’anti-basculants ou d’adaptateurs
d’essieux pour amputés au fauteuil an d’améliorer la stabilité.
Ne jamais utiliser le dossier Premium pour pousser ou soulever
le fauteuil. Un usage inapproprié peut entraîner un détachement
imprévu du dossier au fauteuil.
Ne jamais utiliser les sangles du dossier Premium pour soulever le
fauteuil.
L’utilisation d’une barre de tension, xé aux montants de dossier est
fortement suggéré

4. Installation des appuis-thoraciques
1. Déterminer l’emplacement désiré des appuis-thoraciques
2. Installer le mécanisme d’ancrage d’appui-thoracique sur les cannes de dossier
à la hauteur déterminée.
3. Répéter les étapes 1 et 2 pour le second appui-thoracique
