Safety Symbols
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Always use Personal Protective Equipment when using the Picote Smart Roller, includ-
ing suitable overalls / protective clothing & footwear and the following:
Always wear suitable eye protection when using the Picote Smart Roller sys-
tems to prevent sewage, chemicals or other dust from irritating your eyes.
Always wear suitable chemical resistant gloves when using the Picote Smart
Roller systems to prevent direct contact to resin. Any open injuries or skin irri-
tations should be covered at all times to avoid contact with sewage, chemicals,
resin or dust.
Always wear a suitable respirator when using the Picote Smart Roller systems to
prevent any resin dust or fumes being inhaled or consumed, which can cause oc-
cupational asthma or dermatitis as well as eye irritation.

AVAILABLE SIZES & POWER SOURCES
The Picote Smart Roller range has been designed for wetting out of short and medium-size
Cured-in-Place (CIPP) linings and repairs for the inside of buildings. Available for the reha-
bilitation of pipe sizes from DN50 (2”) to DN150 (6”).
Selecting the correct Picote Smart Roller for the work
Select the correct narrow Liner Holder according to the diameter of the original host pipe.
The Picote Smart Roller opening gap is set using the adjustment wheel.
Picote Smart Roller is operated with a power drill.
The quick locking upper assembly allows the user to lift up or completely remove the upper
roller.

User Instrucons — Weng out the Lining
A properly wet out lining is a key for a successful installaon. The use
of the rolling table ensures that the resin is evenly distributed
throughout the lining. The Picote Smart Roller has been developed to
impregnate short and medium size linings. It is lightweight, transpor-
table and easily powered by any power drill.
Use narrow Liner Holders to give you extra pair of hands. See accesso-
ries list for available narrow Liner Holders.
Step 1. Select the correct size Liner Holder and push it inside locking holes of the
Picote Smart Roller.

Step 2. Aach the power drill onto the power transmission axle. Locate the lining
onto the liner holder.
Step 3. Dispense the resin in accordance with the lining manufacturers instrucons.
To push the bulk resin through the Smart Roller, rst open the two Index Plungers
(showed below) and li up the Upper Roller.
Note: To achieve full impregnaon you should always use a vacuum pump.

Step 4. Once the Upper Roller is opened, move the resin lump through the opening.
Step 5. Mangle the lining as long as needed. Adjust the opening by turning the ad-
justment wheel if needed.

Check the diameter of the host pipe and measure its length before selecng the correct size lining.
Measure out the correct length of lining needed and cut.
Check the condion of the Picote Smart Roller so that the work can be done safely and without
unexpected interrupons:
• Visually inspect the Smart Roller for any signs of damages.
• If required x the Picote Smart Roller to a table.
• Equip the power drill with charged baery.
• Test that Smart Roller works normally when powered.
• Choose desired speed from the power drill.
• Test that the Drive Belt is ghtened. Correct if needed.
• According to the lining manufacturers instrucon, adjust the gap in between rollers
using the adjustment wheel to the correct thickness.
• Install the correct size Liner Holder to the Smart Roller.
• Add the lining to the Liner Holder and connect the vacuum pump.
• Prepare the resin.

Before starng work
During use
Carefully pour the prepared resin inside the lining. Push the resin lump through the Picote Smart
Roller. Open Index Plungers holding the Upper Assembly if needed to make this step easier.
Vacuum out the air in the lining. Power up the Smart Roller and carefully spread the resin
throughout the lining to fully impregnate it. Adjust the roller gap when needed. Change the posi-
on of the lining to ensure there are not any dry places le. Be careful not to suck the resin into
the vacuum pump.
Aer use
When the lining has been successfully impregnated, take it out from the Picote Smart Roller and
connue preparing it for installaon. When working in warm locaons, use ice or fridge to lower
the resin temperature. Colder resin gives more working me before curing process begins. Clean
any spilt resin from the Smart Roller before it cures.
RECOMMENDATIONS
Evenly impregnate the lining with the resin.
Keep Picote Smart Roller clean.
Control the speed of the Smart Roller during the impregnaon process and adjust
the gap in between rollers when required.
Always follow manufacturer recommendaons when weng the liner.

CARING FOR THE PICOTE SMART ROLLER:
Safety:
Picote Smart Roller should be maintained regularly. Monthly add a few drops of oil to the power
transmission parts (gear wheels).
Regularly check and ghten the Drive Belt.
Visually inspect the machine for any signs of damage and replace any damaged parts immediate-
ly.
Cleaning:
Easiest way to keep the Picote Smart Roller operaonal is to keep it clean. Wipe away any drops
of resin from the machine while sll wet. Immediately replace broken parts with Picote Original
replacement parts.

TRANSPORT & FASTENING
Always fasten the Picote Smart Roller when it is transported in a vehicle, to avoid damage to the vehicle or other
equipment. Smart Roller can be xed to vehicle surface to provide stable working place and added safety during
transport.
DISPOSAL
Picote Smart Roller has been designed to be recyclable. Separate metallic and plasc components and dispose of
separately according to local waste regulaon.

WARRANTY POLICY AND PROCEDURE
Limited Warranty:
Picote warrants to the original End User that the Product purchased by such End User will operate in
accordance with and substanally conform to their published specicaons when shipped or otherwise
delivered to the End User and for a period of one (1) year, except electric motors for which the warranty
period shall be six (6) months, provided, however, that Picote does not warrant any claim or damage under
this
Warranty if such claim or damage results from:
1. Consumable parts or normal wear and tear resulng from use of the Products,
2. Product overload or overheated motor,
3. Regular periodic maintenance of Products,
4. Misuse, neglect, or improper installaon or maintenance of the Products, or use of Products
not for their intended purpose,
5. Products that have been altered, modied, repaired, opened or tampered with by anyone
other than Picote or an authorized Picote Service Centre, or unsuitable or unauthorized spare
parts, accessories or third party products when using the Products or;
6. the use of the Products not in compliance with their respecve Documentaon, user manuals,
safety and maintenance instrucons, and any usage restricons contained therein, or
7. accident, re, power failure, power surge, or other hazard.
Otherwise, the Products are sold AS IS. End User is responsible for using the Products within
their specicaons and instrucons as contained in the Documentaon.
EXCEPT AS SPECIFIED IN THIS WARRANTY, ALL EXPRESS OR IMPLIED CONDITIONS,
REPRESENTATIONS, AND WARRANTIES INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OR
CONDITION OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NONINFRINGEMENT,
SATISFACTORY QUALITY OR ARISING FROM A COURSE OF DEALING, LAW, USAGE, OR TRADE PRACTICE,
