}Thesafetyfunctionremainseffectiveinthecaseofacomponentfailure.
}Thecorrectopeningandclosingofthesafetyfunctionrelaysistestedautomaticallyin
eachonoffcycle.

Functiondescription
Whenthesupplyvoltageissupplied,the"POWER"LEDilluminates.Theunitisreadyfor
operationwhenthestartcircuitisclosedorwhenastartcontactisopenedandclosed
againinthestartcircuit.
}Highsignalatinputcircuit(e.g.lightguardnorinterrupted):Thesafetycontactsare
closedandthesemiconductoroutputtransmits.
}Lowsignalattheinputcircuit(e.g.lightguardisinterrupted):Thesafetycontactsare
openandthesemiconductoroutputisdeenergised.
}Dualchanneloperationwithoutdetectionofshortsacrosscontacts:redundantinputcir
cuit,detectsearthfaultsinthestartandinputcircuit.
}Automaticstart:Unitbecomesactiveassoonathereisahighsignalattheinputcircuit.
}Monitoredstart:Unitisactiveoncethereisahighsignalattheinputcircuitandthenthe
startcircuitisclosed.
}Increaseinthenumberofavailableinstantaneoussafetycontactsbyconnectingcon
tactexpandermodulesorexternalcontactors.

Installation
}TheunitshouldbeinstalledinacontrolcabinetwithaprotectiontypeofatleastIP54.
}UsethenotchontherearoftheunittoattachittoaDINrail.
}EnsuretheunitismountedsecurelyonaverticalDINrail(35mm)byusingafixingele
ment(e.g.retainingbracketoranendangle).

}Outputs1314and2324aresafetycontacts,thesemiconductoroutputY32isanauxil
